- The 2024 Toyota Yaris is the Toyota's newest crossover. It slots-in between the Toyota Raize and the Corolla Cross in terms of size and pricing. Here in the Philippines, it will come in 3 variants which range in price from P1,199,000 for the base model to P1,598,000 for the top-spec Hybrid variant. This mid spec V variant sells for P1,296,000 and it might be the best specced Toyota for the price. In this video, we'll do a full walk around and we'll compare it to the base model G

These japanese brands learned it the hard way to actually bring some decent value for money vehicles here in the Philippines. All thanks to the Chinese brands that actually opened the consumers eyes and showed us that we actually can get more with the money we’re paying. I’m not hating on these Japanese brands, I just know they could have given us better quality and feature packed cars sooner than later. They held back quite a bit until their Chinese competitors came in.
right on point
This is a toned down Yaris Cross for the South east Asian market. It's terrible. The one we have in the west is the original with the superior TNGA framework. This one comes with a lower cost DNGA.
Hyundai Creta nlang ako kaysa yan
@@sara.cbc92 TNGA Yaris Cross is miles better than the DNGA Yaris Cross
Toyota treats its customers in Aslan region badly!
Correct! Japanese car makers have been low-balling us all along but we didn't realize that not until Chinese car manufacturers came along.
Thank you idol for always including other variants. Other channels focus on the highest trim
Hi Jay, in the future could you include in your reviews the quality of the audio systems.
wow!!! what a detailed review Sir!!! from the comparison of platform used to the dimensions of corolla cross, yaris and raize... very genious, keep it up Sir!!!
That 100k difference between the G&V is justified. That V is really appealing.
Yes. If you have the money the Safety sense is a plus. The G variant still a has a good features
@@Minho_Lee1999 G variant only got smaller rims and the price of it is similar to the top spec Emzoom and more expensive than the Tiggo 5 Pro Hybrid
@@KuchingKingVideoGamer If i were to choose a Chinese brand. I would go for the GAC as the parts they used are very high quality brands,Bosch,Denso and ETC. than the Chinese competition. I own a GAC GS8 the quality is very promising.
Would be nice to see a comparison between the Yaris Cross V variant and the GL IVT of Hyundai Creta.
Only the hybrid model comes with the blind spot monitors? or is it also in the V variant?

Did they mention when the V variant will be available? I asked Toyota Pasig, and they still don't have one.
ang beefy ng harap. ang gandaaaaa!
Sana masagot mo kuya Jay, May low speed follow bayan? other name traffic jam assist? pwede ma activate yung Adaptive cruise control nya, from stop position? or pang highway lang like 30kph before ma activate ang acc like sa honda brv VX, saka honda City with honda sensing. na walang low speed follow? HRV lang meron low speed follow eh, khit yung lower viriant ng HRV S meron ding acc at low speed follow, how about yan sir my low speed follow ba? saba nasagot, thanks
Thanks for the review,
Changan cs35 plus hype is 1,259,000 that also has adas system with low speed follow, tingin ko yun ang direct competition nito. Or Hrv S with adas and low speed follow though mas mahal ng kaunti around 1.4m
Superb review once again
Thank you
soft touch din ba door cards ng g variant?
how long to release the car if i will buy it cash?
sir is daihatsu design flatform reliable?
I think this V variant will sell like pancakes here in the PH, well packed features for a japanese brand which is notorious for being always behind in that category. Based on size and power output, Yaris cross V rivals with Hyundai Creta, but since they are priced almost the same, I think the obvious choice would be the Yaris cross. HR-V and Corolla Cross are different class but still Yaris Cross packs more features than those two. (Btw, chinese cars are out of the conversation here :D)
I choose Hyundai Creta than other crossovers
@@AntiJEVsInPH Creta is good, it was top on my list before Yaris cross was released.
XP210 Yaris Cross Was Sold Exclusively In Australia, New Zealand , Japan And Europe
AC200 Yaris Cross Was Sold Exclusively On Southeast Asia
Didnt mention the dashcam?
only diffrence ng v variant from the hybrid is the ofcourse the hybrid system, panoramic sunroof at 6 speaker pioneer system. just those 3 features is an extra almost 300k for the hybrid variant.
Kick-motion power tailgate also
Hello Idol!
Hi idol!
looks like Toyota Phils finally came to their senses
The only problem with these Daihatsu models is the weak engine. Imagine paying that money for ~100hp especially when compared to its peers.
1.6m for an engine this small 🤢🤮
@@bravemaster99The 1.6M Variant is a Hybrid. Toyota Doesn’t say what’s the combined output of the 1.5cc engine and the Electric motor. (Mind you this is a full hybrid not like the one on the Ertiga or Tiggo 5x pro hybrid.)
@@rupertfdr350 they can't say it maybe because it's still low, otherwise they would be proudly broadcast it.
@@rupertfdr350 it's already known. The 1.5HEV makes only 109hp with 121nm of torque.
My qualm with the HEV is that it is priced very close to the Corolla cross Hybrid. I dont know with others, pero ako I would go for the bigger , more power and more refined Coroll Cross. But the petrol variants will sell well sa palagay ko.
Same thing BUT if you consider na it offers a panoramic sunroof a kick-motion power tailgate a bigger touchscreen and other safety features then it makes alot more sense. The Corolla Cross’s selling point would be the bigger space talaga. Kumbaga take your pick nalang between the features overload and the practicality.
Please make your review in a bright Locations of full of lights, so can people see in details Thank you,
I usually do. But i had no choice on that day as it was raining and the vehicle was scheduled to launch the following day
thank the China cars for forcing Toyota to level up their game :)
Does it has Paddle Shifter? Which Variant?
The v has paddle shifters. The g doesnt
James beaucoup cette voitures Toyota crosse très très belle voitures
I just realized, the interior will look 10x better, if the leather padded areas were in Navy Blue
I almost love it. But so underpower
ano pong model yung black yung ibabaw yung paint? 2 tone color
V din yun. Mas mataas lang ng konti ang presyo dahil sa black roof. 1,306,000
@jaywalkur thank you po. Ang ganda ng 2 tone. Buti meron sa v. Kala ko hybrid lng ganun.
V 2PC or hybrid variant
What is the ground clearance?
Sorry i forgot to mention. Its 260mm
Wat model is 260mm
210 only
All the Chinese cars is to mainstream brands as Sun Cellular was to Globe and Smart back in the day. The consumer wins when competition for value comes in.
Tbh this is more enticing than the Creta GLS and Honda HRV V.
Creta got a much better engine and transmission..ADAS of the Creta is much better too
@@KuchingKingVideoGamer
Engine reliability - It's still Toyota (Power Hyundai but not that much)
Transmission - I give it to Hyundai
ADAS - Still Toyota the Hyundai doesn't even have Adaptive cruise control and 360 Cam.
Edit: as of now the the Creta is 92k more expensive than the Yaris Cross
Hyundai Creta nlang ako kaysa yan.
At Iboycott Ang mga Japanese EVs dto sa pinas
@@rupertfdr350 Kappa engine of the Creta is very reliable and popular
@@KuchingKingVideoGamer our Creta is used smartstream engine
Thank you for emphasizing that this variant has paddle shifters. I wonder why Toyota does not copy the Chinese cars and turbocharge their engines to give it more power? For fuel economy, or to earn more profit for less?
Between Yaris Cross V variant and Geely Coolyray Sports SE, I think geely has a thin edge due to its power. While I favored Yaris Cross because its Toyota, I honestly think that GCR's infotainment is much more appealing and user friendly. I still has more time to decide between these two.
Pagupit kana lodi para clean looking

Nissan Kicks e-Power
Geely Coolray
Hyundai Creta
Kia Seltos
Honda HR-V

Hyundai Creta is my choice.
Other rivals, pass.
GAC Emkoo or Emzoom can be competition, too. Especially the emzoom, size-wise.

Too dark inside and the storage areas....
Toyota Philippines did not bring the MT base model to bad 😥

Kaya naman pala mag step up ng Toyota eh, for years releasing models sa PH devoid of safety and tech features. That 1.5 engine power delivery 🤮
This looks good but Emzoom rs just hits different
While still behind the Chinese in terms of specs, this is the first Toyota that comes close. 👍👍👍
Rav4 Hybrid went first with the features overload. That one was already released awhile back.
EU version design Made in France is Ugly.
Southeast Asia version design Made in Indonesia is So Much Better.
The presenter needs to get his(?) facts right before trying to film this walk through, its painful listening to him(?) not knowing the facts and stats
I filmed this before the Yaris Cross was even launched. There was no brochure available anywhere. But enlighten me, what facts did I get wrong
@@jaywalkur You are obviously hard of hearing, watch it back, listen to your constant correction of what you have just said.

1.2m 🫤 i think GAC Emzoom is still better compare to this V variant
