2024 Toyota Yaris Cross: Size comparo vs the Raize and the Corolla Cross | Top Gear Philippines

- When we shot the 2024 Toyota Yaris Cross two weeks ago for our Launch Pad feature, we drove to the location in a Raize. Upon arriving there, we found ourselves also in possession of a Corolla Cross. And because we knew car buyers out there would find it helpful, we did an impromptu size comparo featuring these three small crossovers in Toyota’s local lineup.

The fact that you didn't even try to fix the trunk so that the viewers could get a good sense of the trunk size in relation to the luggage is downright lazy. Dissapointing.

Great comparo! Hope a comparison of gasoline consumption between the HEVs of the Corolla Cross & Yaris Cross is upcoming. Given the price of gasoline nowadays, that's an important consideration.

I hope this is redone and include the Rav4, but perhaps with a different crew; preferably, Anton. This comparo felt too rushed, as if the reviewer was hurrying to get it over with. Aside from the initial dimensions, no precise info on the room space difference was provided whatsoever. Comparison made was speculative at best. Rear compartment comparison cannot be fully appreciated because they did not even bother to remove the things in the compartment in the Yaris Cross. It does not even seem professionally done unlike the other Top Gear Reviews. Such an uninspired effort.
Hello! Sorry for the late response. I appreciate the comments. We apologize for the relatively low quality of this video, but please know that I shot this on my own with very minimal help, as the rest of the crew were shooting the Yaris Cross separately. There were time and personnel constraints involved, that's why the other Yaris Cross video (Launch Pad/first impressions feature) looks 'professionally done,' and this one wasn't. We promise to do better next time!

I think they are in a separate category altogether. They are 7 seater mpv's, while these are 5 seater compact suv's.

Disappointing comparison, expected to SEE all three cars side by side, from different angles and distances, the numbers mean nothing, it's the looks that count. Wasted opportunity for you guys, but thanks anyway for trying.
Didn't even clean up the trunks so that the luggage can be put in properly. I'm wondering if there's an order to make the corolla cross look better since yun lang yung malinis likod. Lol

Why TF didn’t you empty the trunks for the comparison?
The pinky finger and thumb measurements are not consistent and unscientific. And each car's trunk has different items in them so it isn't an apples to apples comparison. A chart with each cars' dimensions including the very important wheelbase would have been more informative and would have made this an objective comparison.

Corolla Cross and Yaris Cross have the same Front Fascia. Corolla Cross, Yaris Cross, and Raize are considered or believed to be ‘Baby RAV4’.

Video sucks. The shots of the interior from the outside is just lazy and not helping the viewers at all. You guys went through multiple specs before moving on to the next car, which is laziness in editing. Could've compared the cars per spec with editing. Thumbs down

I don’t trust his test on interior space. His knee is almost hitting the steering wheel at his driving position, just push the seat back and stop acting like 2 of you can fit comfortably fit behind each other

When comparing internal vehicle space we need to know how big the occupant(s)/presenter is otherwise it is meaningless! Is this guy 5 foot or 6 foot? (size comparison yes?) Secondly, statistics about vehicle boot capacity would be appreciated (size comparison yes?)...This is the worst car size comparison I have ever viewed.

They’re banking too much on their fuel efficiency and reliability now. Also, their cars are very underpowered

Crossover segment is already dominated by Coolray, Territory and ZS. With these three cars, I don't think they stood a chance. Given that price point and the amount of specs and features they offer? Nah😂
Especially GX3 recently launched to compete in the likes of Raize😂😂😂
Some people look for reliability, those garbage Chinese cars won't provide it.

Underpowered engines, mostly plastic interiors, few techs, less safety bits(vs others @ the same price). Only selling point is Toyota badge, fuel efficiency (CVT). Chinese cars is slowly eating the marketshare if Toyota continue to be cheap with their products. Imagine Emzoom (base) vs Raize turbo vs Coolray (base) vs CS35 (base) @ 1M pricepoint. Raize is fuel efficient but will take 2x time to get to destination coz the driver is dead serious in breaking the fuel efficiency record.
