Good to see you posting again. I thought this video was going to be about seals behind the door cards, I have to do mine every few years. The lower part of the seal you replaced does start working loose on my car put I keep pushing it back on so hopefully it won't get that bad and need replacing.
+Chris Wales I had those seals go on my petrol Cupra, which lead to a little bit of water getting into cabin on particularly rainy days. Common fault on these, luckily they haven't gone on the FR yet! Thanks for taking the time to view and comment.
+Redline Revs - I have a 2003 TDI SE, which I bought ten years ago. So I've done those seals a few times. These are good cars just a few common faults.Looking forward to more videos from you. I'm planning to fit cruise control over the summer, would be great if you could post a video on it before I start. LOL
This is exactly what I need to do on my mk1 Leon - but I can't find the part anywhere. The part number given in the description gets no results anywhere I have searched online, except for links back to this video! Anyone know a source, or an alternative/correct part number I can look for?
Word of advice, when your trying to pull the clips out, looks like your using a metal flat-blade screwdriver. I'd personally try and use something non-metallic. Reduces the risk of accidental scratching the paint, should the screwdriver slip?
+John Richardson Thanks John, it's true using something non-metallic or covering a screwdriver with some fabric would be safer, but I was too excited to do this at the time. Thanks for commenting.
that is probably coming from your blow motor or heater core or.... just dripping in from the engine compartment th-cam.com/video/ct8iNfEl2DI/w-d-xo.html
I've been looking for the driver door seals for my Octavia mk2 but as far as I could see unless I wanted them 2nd hand I had to go to the dealership. It'll be around £30 probably. You can probably save a few quid waiting 6 weeks for some knock off from China if you search hard enough but I'd bite the bullet.
