I'M looking into a set of Takomo irons. I'm 73, and not really strong. I couldn't tell you my handicap, guess something like 30ish. Should I be using graphite shafts? That's great to hear. I hope all goes well. Years ago I took a club building and repair class at Golfworks. I had asperations of becoming a certified club maker but it didn't happen. I built many clubs for myself, sets for family and friends. It was a lot of fun and informative about club fitting. Too many golfers don't realize that component clubs can be just as good and functional as the name brands.

AJ, quick question what’s your impression of the Tensei white graphite iron shaft that come with titleist irons. I’m ordered titleist 100 S irons with that shaft, but they are way back ordered. I have Accra graphite shafts in my Srixon irons , and am thinking about just putting those in the new titleist irons. Thanks

Intrested in your classes and a quick question re building irons can you use alloy ferrules on graphite shafted irons ?
I've never done it but should be fine as long as the ferrule edges are all beveled to remove any sharp contact points.
