Thanks for the video! It helped me a lot! I didn't remove the the seat and I was pretty easily able to do the entire job with the seat still in the car. For those who need to do this in the future, I got the part used from ebay and there are several part numbers for this one part. So search by the year, make "driver's side recline hinge lever."
I have a '98 Ford explorer . And my handle broke off completely from where it attaches from . What is that seat lever called ? Does it have a parts number ? And where can I get a replacement part from? Thank you.
Its funny how some mechanics never use a flat ratchet. Once the fastener is broke lose and its hard to use a ratchet, us a flat ratchet.. The flat low profile works best and doesnt come off the bolt head as easy.. plus a wider throw of the wrench, means faster to remove or use an air ratchet if a compressor is available..
