Thanks for sharing this journey, I did up Pyg down Miners for my first Snowdon climb last month. Looking to do it again but intrigued by this one as this is less arduous and no scrambles.
Thanks for the detailed walkthrough video mate. I'm doing my first trek up snowdonia via llanberies path over the long weekend next month. Feeling confident & looking forward to see the bright skies on a clear day.
Fantastic walk up Dave. I couldn't agree more with the litter code and the madness of plastic. I don't take plastic bottles out with me - I refill a compressible one all the time for this reason partly. I've been up once with my twin Paul and a friend on such a day as this, The views are awesome. Good going on the clean up. All the best. Mark
Wild camping is not legal however allowed with permission of the landowner. However if the correct practices are adhered too most of the time you will never encounter any pushback. There are no designated wild camping areas however I would recommend set up later in the day, leave early, leave no trace and make sure your camp in wild. That means aim to camp above the highest fell wall. I'm glad you enjoyed the video, and hope you enjoy your wild camping journey 👍
Came to see what the Llanberis path is like for an upcoming family hike but absolutely love that you did some litter picking on the way. Shame careless people leave their little though 😕
I came here to get an understanding of this route, I have maps printed out but need to 'feel' it. I hope the weather is great as I plan to hike over the May bank holiday (not too hot or cold). I am worried it's going to be extremely busy but as it's my first time I have to do this as advised - taking the easier route first. Thanks for putting this out there, if I was experienced I'd throw in litter picking, or maybe I might do this on the way down 🤔
Sounds great mate, hope the weather holds out for ya. Yea it's likely to be busy with a queue for the summit, but regardless its a hike worth doing. Thanks for the feedback, let us know how your trip goes
Thanks Spencer, I had always stayed away from that path, but was pleasantly surprised as to the stunning views. And some good looking camping spots off the path towards the valley floor. Thanks for watching as always 👍
Ah man thanks, I'm actually a total novice at editing and only record all this on my Huawei P20 phone lol I'm still learning and trying to add another editing aspect to my vids everyweek. But that means a lot so cheers pal. I use the free version of Davinci Resolve as it allows for more creative control. But can get intensely confusing as I quickly found out. I just follow the tutorials though and it seems to work. What do you use?
Outdoors With Dave I use a GoPro hero 6 and Nero video software but struggle with time (and patience) to use most features. I usually end up just trimming a few clips and putting them together. The opening driving sequence and stopping for coffee at the beginning of your vid was awesome.
Thanks Spencer. The beginning is just quick clips really. Cut down. You do a good job with what you got mate, I find that TH-cam has the best tutorials on all these editing programmes so I really just follow those. But most of mine are like yours just cut to music or simply on their own. I honestly don't think you need all the best gear anyway nowadays there's not much difference in any of this stuff!
Ah, thank you, I made it as far as the boulders but just couldn’t get any further. Wondered how far I’d actually managed. I was very disappointed. But live to fight another day. Thanks for replying .
sweet vid bro and solid work on clearing up after the bozos who drop the trash. do you ever think they might be leaving a trail so they can find there way home!! haha happy trails dude
Ha I think so. I don't think they'd last a second off the track these guys! I can't believe some will just launch a 2litre bottle of evian lol. I mean 1 bottle of evian = 1 billion years. Thanks for watching mate 👍
Been saying for years I want to walk up Snowdon. Starting some training but worries me a bit 2bh as never done anything like this. Just wondering is the Llanberis path walkable like this all the way or are there any bits you have to climb or scramble please? Thanks 🙂
Outdoors With Dave looks like you did a me and took an early start 😝 the litter picker idea is great I’m definitely going to have a go at clearing some shiz from the trails I hike 🙂
@@WhiteRoseAdventures respect to any of the litter pickers mate, yea I don't do it all the time but when I do I try and aim for the plastics, that are likely making their way slowly down to the sea!
Hi Dave, just watched you video in preparation for next Friday when I make my first effort to peak snowdon. Quick question bud where did you park when you went ? I'm just a bit unsure where's best to park. Thanks in advance
Hey mate, thanks 👍 when doing this route I park opposite the train station in the main car park, its easy to start the hike from there. It's called "parking for snowdon"
@@qualitymountainday Sorry, for both the typo and also not exacly nicely worded comment. I think I left it at like 3am. I mean that the music is hugely louder than the rest of the audio. The effect is that when the speaking, I turn the sound up to hear you but then when the music comes in it blows the speakers out, then rinse and repeat. It's otherwise a great video. I don't know what software you use but in most there is a rebalancing equaliser effect that you can use to bring the loud and quiet parts to similar volumes to address that.
@@facecrash24 I put it down to inexperience and poor quality kit mate. I'm better at it now, although I've taken a break from TH-cam really over the past year or so. Free editing software was pretty basic then as well.
If you're going to upload videos on youtube, then : 1. lower down the music volume a bit - the difference when you talk and when music plays is too big. We have to lower down the volume when music plays and turn the volume up when you speak - cuz we can't hear you if we leave it on LOW (due to music). 2. invest in a noise cancelling microphone - the one with a foam membrane/casing cuz the wind ruined the video. This 2 reasons made me press the dislike button. All the best and hoping to see an improvement over your next videos.
Good one, I have upgraded my kit since this video was produced. Haha never set out to be a pro that early in the game, and thanks for pressing the dislike button and being so positive, your the best 👎
Great vid - thanks for taking us along. Respect ✊ for doing the litter pick. Liked and subbed for that very reason. ATB Mark.
Thanks so much buddy, I imagine snowdon gonna need a few litter picks after the latest influx. So I'll have to plan another one 👍
Fantastic video mate. Great editing and thankyou for giving us a clear basic look at the path we want to take. Appreciate your time and effort 👌
No problem, thanks so much for your feedback 👍
Thank you for a brilliant video.
Going Snowden in a week 🌄❤️🌄
awesome, have a great time

Great video. Me and the family are going up via that path in August. Can I ask how long it took?
depending on how many stops youdecide to take it will take a few hours, maybe 3-4 hrs 1 way, then 3 hours back
Hi , out of curiosity how far up is the the I can only describe as a Boulder staircase after you have left the halfway cafe? Thanks
It's not too far at all, about 1000m walk to the start of the steps that lead you to the tunnel which puts you on the other side of the railway.
