What happens in Panama stays in Panama! Pryor.who usually appears in musical 🎵 comedy films,is in this espionage thriller for a change! Good flick to watch!
I think that maybe a sign of a good film is when they do something that doesn't that make total sense (plotholes, special effects failures etc) and the audience explains it away in their own minds. Edit: that was just an idle thought. This was a fantastic film!

I also think Hugh Beaumont (February 16th, 1910 - May 14th, 1982) was a very talented film noir actor. Watching this film, The Lady Confesses (1941) or Apology for Murder (1945) sort of makes me wonder how he wound up being cast as Ward Cleaver in the classic sitcom, Leave It to Beaver. I guess I'll never know. But just in case you didn't know: Hugh wasn't the first choice for the role. He replaced an actor by the name of Max Showalter after the pilot episode -- in September 1957. And the original nam3 of the series was something quite different: It's a Small World.

During the car chase at the end I knew something was going to happen when the bad guys car went out of control you could hear the beginnings of the classic car crash sound effect used by 100's of movies over several decades. This is a great film that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Hugh Beaumont aka Leave It To Beaver's dad was very young when this film was made
