In 1962, I travel this road with my family in a 1959 Chevy Parkwood station wagon. I was 12 years old and had my younger brother and sister along, with my Dad and Mom. I remember, around the 16.00 minute mark, looking out the right side of the car, and it was scary! I told my mom, "I don't know if i should go to sleep, or die!" LOL! It was the last vacation from Pittsburgh to California that our family made, to visit old neighbors who moved to California in 1960. My Dad died not long afterwards, so a vacation like this, which was 2 weeks long was quite memorable to me. So watching this, for the first time, since seeing it live, in 1962, brought tears to my eyes. Thank you so much for recalling such a wonderful time of my childhood, now that i am at the end of my life.
Love this video. I rode my Indian on this route last year and will be again this year. I love this country and feel blessed to be a citizen of The United States. My family vacationed here in the early 90’s and 00’s. We’ve all got older and don’t go anymore. Haven’t been for 16 years. My God. 16 years. I have to go back. I just have to. This place is magical. And I’m sure a lot more busy now...which bums me out. Amazing how time and generations go by and you don’t realize how much ‘this is your time’ and ‘how fast it goes’. Enjoy everyone. Youth is...well...wonderful. I took it for granted and though I would be young forever. But..it’s not like that.
I found it shocking going back even 15 years ago. It sucks riding on a shuttle with tourists. It's good for the air quality, but still... if you grew up in the time where you could drive through it yourself, with only a fraction of the people knowing of its existence... it's not the same. I don't think I'll ever go back.
What I also love about this video is you can also see the sky, a major part of scenery & atmosphere, I couldn't imagine a world without it, Thank You!!

Thank you, that drive brought tears to my eyes. God's creation is beautiful. I don't know if I will ever get to drive it but I will certainly watch this video over and over. You picked the perfect music for it also. Beautiful.
I can vividly remember driving through with my grandparents when I was 14 or 15 and I’ve always wanted to go back ever since. Even at that age it was beautiful and breathtaking.
Whoever planned the route for this highway did an absolutely brilliant job. Anyone visiting Zion should try to enter this way. This and the Going to the Sun highway in Glacier are my favorites.

@@DivaInTheWoods Hey, thanks for replying. I did the hike on December 2nd. I was able to get to Walter's Wiggles. At that point the ice and snow on the trail was too much. I did not have crampons to keep pressing forward. However, since the temperature was in the mid-40s, I decided to give it another try the next day and I'm glad I did. I drove this in July of 2022. One of the most beautiful places I have been to. I live in Tennessee. I live 20 miles from The Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Love that place also.
I first visited Zion Park in 1980 aboard a Green Tortoise Bus out of New York City. In 1991, I returned to Zion to work as a seasonal park ranger and stayed for only the one season. I have visited the park several times since then and it has always seemed more crowded but I can't blame people for wanting to experience such breathtaking beauty.
We've been all over the country between the two of us and I've been all over Colorado but I haven't seen the Utah side yet. This place is now on our list. Very pretty. We just love the west. Colorado is home. No excuse not to explore THIS. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for this beautiful film. I have been to many places all around the world. Zion is one of my top 5. Although I live in Europe, I have already been there 3 times and about to go again.
Thank you so much for sharing this tour of the Zion NTLP. I had the opportunity to tour it in 2016 and fate has wanted that this year we could not return, but we will return to that beautiful land. Our days in Springdale and our tour of The Narrows are unforgettable. Greetings from Punta del Este, Uruguay.
This is truly an amazing beautiful scenic route to behold!! What awesome filming 👏👍 indeed! You have captured every beautiful angle and curve of this magnificent (breathtakingly) road view of the mountains, hillsides, canyons and all... so very splendid! I couldn't take my eyes off front and center...from the start. I can only imagine how stunning it must be to drive through...(without taking your eyes off the road.... would be impossible). Absolutely Divine (understatement)...Is God's Beautiful Creation of Mother Nature...Earth. If there's an Oscar for films like this.... This Is the Winner. In my eyes....thank you for sharing. I have now traveled through Mt. Zion National Park.... so vividly and Awe-beautifully‼️ 🏞️ Merci.... *Van🚐 Wings 🦋*
Here's what I liked: You exposed for the highlights so that they didn't get blown out. That gave the video a moody, mysterious feel that worked perfectly with the music that you chose. Also, thanks for shortening the long tunnel! Your video reminds me of why I think the drive into the park is at least as beautiful as the valley itself. Toward the end of your video, the view of the Watchman with the evening light falling on it's face is spectacular! Thanks. I just did this drive for the second time in February (2020) . It was the first time for my grand children.
I drove Highway 9 a week ago. My sixth time but I find it always stunning. I also love Kolob Rd in Rockville up to Kolob Reservoir. Very beautiful is Route 12 between Escalante and Boulder and the best coffee in Kiva café. Thanks for sharing. Beautifully done.
What does that have to do with beautiful scenery?? Of course there are shitty places in cities. Still doesn't change the fact of what I said. I never said 100% of U.S. soil was gorgeous. -__-

Im frm nyc .drove cross country many times ..saw alot .utah was is a beautiful drive .rollin hills mts .etc ..God bless america
What a beautiful highway to drive and incredibly gorgeous scenery. Thanks for posting.
Have driven this route in the past and will again this spring. Absolutely spectacular. Thanks for making this video!
Absolutely breathtaking beauty ♥️
We've been all over the country between the two of us and I've been all over Colorado but I haven't seen the Utah side yet. This place is now on our list. Very pretty. We just love the west. Colorado is home. No excuse not to explore THIS. Thanks for sharing.
Zero in on Southeast Utah where all the best scenery comes together -- at least five National Parks!
On my bucket list. Just stunning, thanks for sharing.
A stunningly beautiful drive that rivals those in the Alps!
Amazing how different it looks with your video lighting. I went through early in the morning with the sun shining....whole different effect.
I was just there, and this is it. Great video, go there in person and hike and bike. A must, beautiful, serene. Can’t wait to go back ❤️.
Awesome place. Great drive
Thank you for this beautiful film. I have been to many places all around the world. Zion is one of my top 5. Although I live in Europe, I have already been there 3 times and about to go again.
UNE TRÈS BELLE BALLADE . THANK YOU SO MUCH.
This is so beautiful! It makes me feel a certain way.
Absolutely beautiful....I can not wait to see this myself! Very well done...thank you!
Great choice of music. Goes perfect with the video. Thank you for not using annoying techno music or heavy metal.
This ride has just been added to my bucket list. Thank you for posting this video.
So serene and breathtaking at the same time!
I love this place and am glad I traveled it multiple times before the crowds took it over, forcing you to see most of it by tourist bus...
Благодарю за видео!!! От такой красоты аж дух захватывает, ухх!!! 🤗👍🤗👍🔥
The drive through Long Canyon (Burr Trail) in Capitol Reef National Park is also spectacular.
I drove only paved part of it in passenger car. I never could afford renting SUV.
At dusk doing 80 or better on that road now that's excitement with a view but never going to happen nice job nice tunes.
Fortunate to drive the highway a couple of years ago. Awesome and the scenery is great.
I was there in Sept. Beautiful scenery. There are alot of gorgeous scenery all over the U.S. I especially love the Glenn Highway in Alaska.
What does that have to do with beautiful scenery?? Of course there are shitty places in cities. Still doesn't change the fact of what I said. I never said 100% of U.S. soil was gorgeous. -__-
@mj rockfort That's no coincidence, buddy. Private land = mined, developed, ruined land.
If this drive was combined going to Bryce through Grand Staircase, then THAT is the #1 drive anywhere.
such as beautiful place...makes me want to go this summer
Thank You for sharing, it's spectacular and so relaxing at the same time. Such a great ride, beautiful
