What an amazing find. The barrel vaulting, the thick walls, the balconies with the sea view - most attractive. For me, the most heartwarming sound in the village are the church bells. So soothing, so traditional.

There were few things I didn't understand in this video. You said that usually the 1 euro houses needs to be renovated within a time period. But you don't have any time limit in this house. You also said that in this village you don't get houses for 1 euro, but then you said that you did buy this for 1 euro. So I'm a bit confused whether you bought this for 1 euro or not. And could you probably share how you found house like this and where to take part in the auction? that would be great
I love the house and the tile. Im happy to see your planning to keep the doors and tile. The last Home i renovated was a 1945 WW2 Veterans home that was condemned and scheduled for demolition. Partly because Im a Military Brat & I love to fix things. I was able to convince the city to allow me to renovate it and it turned out beautiful. I also had to replace all the electrical and plumbing to modern standards but I was able to find all new real wood flooring the same as the original and I saved most of the original fir doors and found the last 2 1945 fir doors at a salvage store. I was also able to find all the Crystal knobs and hardware on the internet. Yall are my kinda crazy. I have a couple of videos of the Gentry house (the last house I renovated) on my channel if you want to see it.

What an amazing surprise. Luke and Sara are doing everything right. The tiles and the floring is a plus but the view out their windows/ deck are what dreams are made of. Living by the sea is something both Luke and Sara have talked about for a long awhile and now look at them. It will be interesting to tune in every week to watch their accomplishments. So happy for them and their little girl. To see Lucia walking down the cornerstone street was adorable.

Very quiet ……. yup, that’s the key word: quiet. I hope they enlarge those windows. Too dark. The human brain loves natural light especially on rainy days. That bathroom is super tight. I hope they enlarged that bathroom to be a bit more comfortable. I also hope they keep in mind their safety. Each room should have a way out in case of emergency. I’m a designer and home builder, can’t have give opinions when I see a house in need of love and this house needs a lot of love.

Hudson river etc. I prefer your view from the balcony for 1 Euro. Your child looks to have a very happy disposition bless her. All the best to you. At a glance I would open the walls of the living room to the kitchen where you plan to have your daughter's room. Then I would build all the bedrooms downstairs to take advantage of the cooler air in the hot summer. I'd also put the laundry downstairs with the bedrooms and take that wall away next to the main entrance to open that space up so it's more inviting upon entering the home. Beautiful view from the balconies! Such a wonderfully quiet little village.

Oh my, I’m so excited that you purchased this home. What a dream, so roomy and lots of potential. Luce and the kittens really warms my heart. It reminds me of Maui where there are many feral cats. I’m sure many were lost in the ravaging fires, so seeing Luce sharing her bread brings tears to my eyes. My family lived on Maui for over 30 years, so have been having a hard time with the loss.

If they're eating bread that means they are either starving or undernourished and stray cats ...I hope there is a spaying and neutering program for stray cats there. It was so heartbreaking for me even as a child growing up in Indonesia to see all the stray and nearly-starving cats. I brought one home and begged my mother to keep it, but we didn't know she was already pregnant even though still a kitten herself. It was hard to find them homes because many of the Javanese people were struggling themselves and the westerners were often prejudiced against Indonesian cats because many of them have a strange genetic disposition that makes them look like they have broken tails. The world can be cruel sometimes.

That high ceiling window-less room with that wonderful indented curve (children’s room?) would be a wonderful office for photo/video editing. Wall thickness is amazing. We have inch thick plaster walls and it’s an amazingly quiet home. That basement level is so wow! Yes, the potential 🤩 Amazing and happy for you!!! Life’s an adventure 🎉 Without realizing it (but I speak from having our 30 yr business in separate location from our home) It keeps your mind and eyes fresh to new ideas for each location So You Will Be Grateful for This in the Future! There were few things I didn't understand in this video. You said that usually the 1 euro houses needs to be renovated within a time period. But you don't have any time limit in this house. You also said that in this village you don't get houses for 1 euro, but then you said that you did buy this for 1 euro.

I love the house and the tile. Im happy to see your planning to keep the doors and tile. The last Home i renovated was a 1945 WW2 Veterans home that was condemned and scheduled for demolition. Partly because Im a Military Brat & I love to fix things. I was able to convince the city to allow me to renovate it and it turned out beautiful. I also had to replace all the electrical and plumbing to modern standards but I was able to find all new real wood flooring the same as the original and I saved most of the original fir doors and found the last 2 1945 fir doors at a salvage store. I was also able to find all the Crystal knobs and hardware on the internet. Yall are my kinda crazy. I have a couple of videos of the Gentry house (the last house I renovated) on my channel if you want to see it.

What an amazing surprise. Luke and Sara are doing everything right. The tiles and the floring is a plus but the view out their windows/ deck are what dreams are made of. Living by the sea is something both Luke and Sara have talked about for a long awhile and now look at them. It will be interesting to tune in every week to watch their accomplishments. So happy for them and their little girl. To see Lucia walking down the cornerstone street was adorable.

Very quiet ……. yup, that’s the key word: quiet. I hope they enlarge those windows. Too dark. The human brain loves natural light especially on rainy days. That bathroom is super tight. I hope they enlarged that bathroom to be a bit more comfortable. I also hope they keep in mind their safety. Each room should have a way out in case of emergency. I’m a designer and home builder, can’t have give opinions when I see a house in need of love and this house needs a lot of love.

The house has so many beautiful features. A lot of work needs to be done for sure but the house has so much potential. I am excited to see what you are going to do with it. Hudson river etc. I prefer your view from the balcony for 1 Euro. Your child looks to have a very happy disposition bless her. All the best to you. Yes! When I learned about these homes few years ago, I was like, it would be interesting to see how average folks buy it and bring it up to code. How much would it cost, how do you haul materials up there, etc.

At a glance I would open the walls of the living room to the kitchen where you plan to have your daughter's room. Then I would build all the bedrooms downstairs to take advantage of the cooler air in the hot summer. I'd also put the laundry downstairs with the bedrooms and take that wall away next to the main entrance to open that space up so it's more inviting upon entering the home. Beautiful view from the balconies! Such a wonderfully quiet little village.

Luce and the kittens really warms my heart. It reminds me of Maui where there are many feral cats. I’m sure many were lost in the ravaging fires, so seeing Luce sharing her bread brings tears to my eyes. My family lived on Maui for over 30 years, so have been having a hard time with the loss.
I am so sorry for your familie's loss. I have been to Maui and am sad for the destruction and more importantly the loss of lives. ❤

If they're eating bread that means they are either starving or undernourished and stray cats ...I hope there is a spaying and neutering program for stray cats there. It was so heartbreaking for me even as a child growing up in Indonesia to see all the stray and nearly-starving cats. I brought one home and begged my mother to keep it, but we didn't know she was already pregnant even though still a kitten herself. It was hard to find them homes because many of the Javanese people were struggling themselves and the westerners were often prejudiced against Indonesian cats because many of them have a strange genetic disposition that makes them look like they have broken tails. The world can be cruel sometimes.

Luce is going to have a wonderful life growing up near the ocean and surrounded by incredible ancient history. She has so much personality and her love of animals is adorable. I remember about two or three years ago, right before/during COVID, I saw these listings for the 1 Euro homes, and you need to dedicate a certain amount of time or money to rebuild the home to rebuild the area and thought it was too good to be true. The tiles are amazing and yes Love the double wood doors (we have double doors similar & love them,) leading into your big main living rooms are wonderful. That high ceiling window-less room with that wonderful indented curve (children’s room?) would be a wonderful office for photo/video editing. Wall thickness is amazing. We have inch thick plaster walls and it’s an amazingly quiet home. That basement level is so wow! Yes, the potential 🤩
