That first ferry you were looking at was the "San Mateo" ferry boat. Our family rode that ship all the time to get from Vashon island to Seattle. It was powered by a triple expansion reciprocating steam engine. This was way back in the early 60's. I used to love the throbbing sound it made as it travelled Puget sound. I even have a family movie of us riding the boat. I think that by now the superstructure has caved in and only the lower hull was showing. It would have nice to remove its steam engine and use it as a museum piece.
Wrong bcfc didn't leave it on the fraser River because they would be in trouble it was sold to a person call gerald tapp who left it here. It was used in movies and tv shows like the x-files ghouli

it was very cool! and super easy to access and the farmer who owns the land before it didnt care at all that we wanted to explore it. Great adventure.
Remember seeing it floating and in much better shape back in the 90's.
I'd totally go down to the engine room and look around
