Made in America Navistar 6.0 oil coolers, the last of Made in America oil coolers. automedicgarag... automedicgarag... patreon.com/Au... / medicgarage www.instagram.... www.amazon.com...
Just ordered it from you. Thanks for looking out for us. I have a 2006 SD Lariat. Truck is solid. I have done everything to keep up on maintenance. It did have a new oil cooler installed 10 years ago at 61,000 miles (give or take). Current deltas are representative of a clear cooler and in spec. BUT....with 183K on the truck now it will likely need a rebuild / updating in the next few years. Money well spent, thanks again. I really enjoying your videos, keep up the good work.
This is so depressing! And (putting on my tinfoil-covered trucker's cap) this is how the corporate globalists are using back-door means to get older internal-combustion vehicles off the road. Similar to the de facto pew-pew control by making it harder/more expensive to get the pews and the parts. I have been considering purchasing a 6.0 truck recently and am learning everything that I can about them. Considering how critical the parts quality is especially in the high-pressure oil system, this is really bad news. Thanks for updating us on this!
I bought a spare one month back when the prices were still lower. It's the USA version. This is happening with all the parts for our 6.0L. It's been 21 years since the 6.0L was in production, maybe 12 since they stopped making them. No manufacturer keeps making parts forever.
Thank you so much for offering these at a reasonable price to all of us. I just purchased one from you. I probably won't need it for a long time, but good to know I have one on the shelf and am prepared for the future.
Just suscribed. Got an 05 6.0 a couple months ago and its my first diesel. I love thw torque on it. 170k on the dash. Trying to know everything about it before it fucks with me
I just received mine and it's a "FORD". I bought it off Riffraff diesel. Just fyi...I'm super swamped with work right now. But when i get a little break im gonna do a flush before I install new oil cooler. Thanks for your videos. Definitely going to see them again before install...Thanks a million brother...
Doesn't bulletproof Diesel have a remote water-cooled oil cooler, that way if you have to use the garbage Chinese ones at least if it fails you can change it out without digging back into the rig?
Damnit! I just put one of those in a truck… I knew something looked different when the gasket in the kit wasn’t blue! Atleast I put the blue gasket on because I had an extra one! What about the stand pipe and dummy plugs? Are they dorman too??
I was bit by this when I rebuilt my motor last summer. Got an 'oem' Ford cooler and got the Dorman. At the time I could not locate anything better, so I stuck it in. I did use Felpro gaskets/orings rather than the Dorman ones. So far, so good. But I might just be one of the lucky ones. If/when it goes I will either use the bullet proof kit or the IPR kit which is oil over water (which I prefer, for my personal reasons).
Tell me where the sinister is made? Not in America and I would never put one in a customers truck. The BPD internal cooler isn’t made by bpd, says it plain as day in their website come from the same source as these that is now out of production.
That’s why I’ve installed a ton. Not everyone can afford it or be able to justify it. Good internal works great when it’s maintained properly ie correct coolant, coolant filtration, quality oil, etc. I agree it’s the best option but not always viable for everyone. Well, i placed an order. Plan to keep it for a rainy day, but I'm chasing an oil leak that seems to be near the oil cooler. Deltas look good, but we'll see what the future brings.
I really think the Diamond advantage didn’t work because of lack of marketing because I didn’t know what it was till a few months ago then 2 weeks ago found out they were discontinuing the line.
I have a 2005 f 350 with the 6.0 . I been trying to find a new ABS brake module / pump ford stopped making them and don’t have any in stock and I can’t even find a aftermarket one
So what do you do once there is no more and you run out of your stock? What brand are you going to use then? Or are you just not going to offer changing out an oil cooler as a service?
I’m trying to come up with something. But to answer your question I will not supply a Chinese oil cooler to my customers. If you show up with your own parts and say you want that installed that’s fine but I will not warranty it due to the risk.
Writing from Canada here. Thanks for all your great Powerstroke content. I am currently looking at replacing a cheap Amazon oil cooler on my 2004 F350. Went and ordered the Ford OEM oil cooler kit and sure enough, it arrived and was the new craptastic made in China component that I do not intend to install (Kit #YO-25). Did some digging and the Diamond Advantage Navistar kit is available up here for only $2500 Canadian pesos. Ugh. May as well go BulletProofDiesel oil cooler at that point. Anyways, if there's any way you could make a deal with me north of the border for one of your coolers then please let me know-otherwise I think I'm just going to sell the truck with the existing cooler that hasn't yet failed. If good parts for these trucks are going to be that hard to find then it may be time to reconsider some of my life decisions...
My main point was and I guess I should have said it in the video is that I always trusted OEM till they went communist on us and the original producer of the ford U.S.A. oil cooler was Navistar, so to me this was the cooler to use only problem is now that I’ve been using them for a few months they discontinue them.
@@AutomedicGarage Fair enough. I was just curious if you had any experience with the Alliant Power units, which are in fact made in the USA. Anyhow. Yes, sources from the “original producer” who was navistar and says on their website “not manufactured by bullet proof diesel”. Their stock will run out if it hasn’t already.

Mishimoto makes a oem style oil cooler with a life time warranty. Has anyone had any luck with those
At the price point of $142 I’m only guessing the reliability of it. Mishimoto is made in China also.
We have got a radiator from mishimoto before and it was really high quality and I will be buying a mishimoto oil cooler 🤞

Yep if it only says ford it’s China. Look on the sticker on the box. Fine print will say proudly made in China

"Reboxed dorman", thats what dorman is, they buy garbage and rebox it. They dont have an oil cooler factory.

I did everything bleed the brakes. Several times changed master cylinder ABS light is on pedal goes to the floor
Theres no aftermarket companies making high performace quality ones now?
Only aftermarket I would use is a BPD external cooler
