thanks for the great video. We used to have the same car, GS Club 1973, the best braking system I have ever seen in my life, I have driven many cars, but this car has the best braking system, I used to replace the front brake pads in 5 minutes without removing the front wheels! . One more thing I noticed , because the brake discs are on both sides of the Gearbox, when I apply the brake hard while driving, the front wheels start jumping and simulate an ABS behavior!, beside the rear of the car gets lowered, an amazing engineering idea!! We sold the car because of the high maintenance, the boxer engine design keeps leaking oil as the pistons were horizontal , not vertical like the rest of the cars.
Thanks for sharing bring back some cool memories. Oh have I welded on an old GS, yes lots of sheet metal. I`m an old car mechanic living in Sweden and I bought two, one for parts and one to fix. Must have been late 70ies or early 80ies I forgot but they where in real bad condition with rust. I got it running though and drove it for a while.

did you use a new wiring loom?
nope was the original one, still good after 46 years 😂😂
Dismantling the gearbox, you suddenly discover a use for your 11 mm socket.
