I think when women are like this like she said, they're not malicious but dont realize they are being snobbish. They also don't realize the degrees and the "being accomplished," is just another way of dressing up. It's just up to you why you're dressing up and it all breaks down to self-love, either way you slice it. Do it because you love yourself, show up for yourself.
💯% agreed. I used to be like Vanessa. I never wore makeup. Only Jeans, trainers, joggers. Over the years I gradually started wearing makeup more often. I now wear dresses. I feel so much better about myself, more confident as well. I'm doing this for myself and the attention I get from the opposite sex is an added bonus.
When people lead with their career and degrees..they don’t feel secure with themselves outside of their careers.. but then they feel a way about other people using them! Well you brought it up so they’re going to take advantage. I don’t talk about money, what I own or anything like that with men or friends. I just come as ME and if they like ME we show love to one another ❤
As much as some want to fight "desirability"(can't stand how some women use this as a term to ridicule women wanting to look good for men)...its apart of your value as a woman to look good! A lot of women lost when they made accomplishments their identity and how they show up to men. They do not care about your degrees or certifications...do you look good? Are you genuine and loving? Have you healed from past trauma with men? Are you respectful towards men? Men need their opposite, not a woman that wants to compete like them or with them.
Think of it like a restaurant. You could have the best food, the cleanest kitchen, and good workers, but if your shop looks drab and dungy, people are less likely to eat there. Unfortunately, same is true with dating. I guarantee if some dude rolled up on her in slides and a t-shirt speaking country grammar, she'd dismiss him instantly.
Mam no one is intimidated by you. If you already think that people are intimidating by you are not open for feedback. Maybe you are just not approachable.
