I absolutely recommend playing KCD 1. I've been gaming since the early 90s and doing historical combat since 2008, and KCD absolutely shot to my top games ever.
Amen. Yes, it's a bit jankey at times, but it's so good I have no problem accepting it. The writing in particular. I'm playing again to prep for this and I forgot how good the dialog was.

Seeing a person who worked on RDR2 (which is in my TOP3 best games of all time together with Kingdom Come 1 and Witcher 3) being so excited about this makes me damn happy. KCD2, GTA6 and Witcher 4 are my most anticipated games now :) These studios create such masterpieces.
kcd is w/in my top5 along with re4 and san andreas, witcher3 and rdr2.
More like one of the best combat and best archery systems ever! Not to mention one of the best games in a long time! Can’t wait for the second one!!!!
Omg yes. For anyone who never played the 1st one pls give it a try. It goes on sale constantly for $10 and I say is such a hidden gen especially in 2018. I love this game so much. Only thing is u have to engage with the mechanics and stuff which in a very immersive RPG sim can turn some ppl off. But I garuntee I'd u stick through it and play u will be totally hooked and have moments of omg I just did that IM HIM when you take on groups of 2+ enemies. I had so many moments of laughing, sadness and hurahhhhh playing this game. The passion War horse has is something that is missing in the industry and needs to have light shed on it. Being one if the 1st games to do photogrametry, have 11 people, a pretty small budget, and being a history nut myself being historically accurate being based on true events, and people I say this again pls give this game a shot.
I would love to see you play thus York. Especially since you're an animator that has experience in the industry.
Kingdom come 1 is up there with RDR2 as one of most alive open worlds. KCD2 and GTA6 are only games i want Day one. You should try the first game if you have not already.

I agree. My top 2 games of all times are RDR2 and KCD. Not interested in GTA though. Love Arthur and Henry to bits . Both games are masterpieces ❤

In the first game they actually said all the character faces were scans of either devs or actors, so they do indeed do that. The guy at 20:30 is the actor's, Richard Zeman's face.

Yea, I'm reaching the conclusion that the lady featured in the trailer (Anna Pacesova, Lead Character Designer) is the face of Adela (and others) in the original game.

Oh man… why didn’t you watch the whole dev breakdown? They show so much more like talking about how hard it was to build the main city and showing the two different regions the game will take place in and the score of the game… was looking forward to you reacting to that.

It's gonna be a game of the year. Vávra knows, how to make a great game and he never missed. And if he did this video, he is 100% sure. (Of course, there will be lot of bugs for first few months)

@@YorkReacts I actually played KCD1 after RDR2 and thought both games have some similar design goals, namely huge focus on immersion even at the expense of being approachable and casual.
I am so excited for this game. I played through the first one entirely and thoroughly. I am not a pre-order kind of guy but this one, this one will get it.
KCD is GOATED ill never forget playing and finding out one of the bad guys shares my last name, ive always heard Toth was a common last name in Hungary but rarely saw it

I love that they didnt hire famous actors. Ill go to my deathbed telling people that it was a huge major step for cdpr doing that for cp77. Woulda been much cooler if it was an original design.

@@YorkReacts the combat is pretty good, it’s just that most people get frustrated due to the strict timing of masterstrikes and the semi-strict timing of parries, it does fall apart a bit when fighting more than 2 people though, especially due to the lock-on system
Also, armor in the game REALLY acts like armor, unless you manage to find a gap in the armor, get a REALLY strong hit on the opponent or hit them when they’re tired, you will deal quite literally 0 damage.
@@YorkReacts the only problem with the combat is having multiples enemy's at the same time, but when you envolve your carácter and mastering it, it really isn't a problem anymore.
@@peletrify4089 only way I could win the tournament in rattay with the shortsword was through face stabbing since their helmet leaves the face uncovered 😂, normally I use a mace since headshots still do quite a bit of damage, especially compared to whacking a helmet with a sword

Warhorse developers are so passionate about there game and there fan base! They care alot about there fanbase! I don't know any other developer that revealed a game like warhorse has done and even go the lengths to make there game they are so passionate about! If you haven't played the first game then your missing out bro. Don't get frustrated and quit because the controls and the systems are alittle messy an difficult like combat but listen to me bro trust me once you LEARN the combat and systems you will be blown away by the game!

It was on purpose I can’t please everyone. I had a few people who were mad that I was reacting to whole videos and not cutting out sections ect they thought I was stealing peoples content and if I cut out some moments or don’t react to the whole thing it would send people to the original content so they could see the whole thing. It’s a mess. Like I said I can’t please everyone because the moment I started not reacting to the entire video on certain content I got lots of comments and hate like yours where people were upset I wasn’t reacting to the whole video or I cut out sections and they were disappointed I didn’t react to that part. No matter what I do I can’t please everyone so now I do what I want and react to whatever section or the whole video.

A small team did this in 6 years and we still don't have gta6, let me tell you it better be more than my expectation despite my hype being completely unrealistic at this point, i did play kingdom come deliverance but it turned me down a bit by some of the junk, i hope they had time to perfect all of this

All gameplay is first person, like vavra said over 5 hours of cutscenes though lol you see yourself in 3rd person pretty frequently but all gameplay will be 1st

Have to say it but Kingdom Come deliverance had the worst combat system i ever seen in a first person RPG game, i have no words how frustrating it was. Punches,jab and kicks are delayed to like 2.5 seconds after you press the key button, stamina drains out fast af. Audio, sound effects and animations were also really garbage during cutscenes.
And what really made me cringe was when the cumans attacked the village they were like over 1000 cavalry or something but once they got inside you only saw like maximum of 10 lol.
You need about one playthrough to get used to the combat, after that it becomes really easy. That's actually one of the biggest flaws of the first game imo, the combat becomes way too easy if you're used to the game and just about 2-3 levels ahead of the level that the story would naturally assume you to be at.

@@HeadHunter697 More like game design issue. they literally coulda just build upon how Skyrim did the combat and improve it from there with new and better ideas and this game woulda EASILY been at least top 10 most played game in Steam's chart.
@@hajinka98_ 90% of the time it’s because of your level. You would say the exact opposite if you tried being max level. You could technically win any 1v1 by just pressing q if you’re high enough level.
Now I’m not saying that makes the combat good, but it’s certainly not hard in and of itself. You just have to spend some time with it before you realize how to master/exploit it
Hey you should play the first one, this game is not just spectacle, it's very deep and brain stimulator in terms of mechanics and gives you freedom like i've never seen honestly, like almost constantly..
Yeah I had a bunch of people recommend me play the first one. It must be good I heard it’s rough on the combat but overall a great game experience
@@YorkReacts yes it's clunky indeed and very stat based not so much skill based, but if they change that it's going to be masterpiece. The sidequests amd design of missions is what they are best at.
This and RDR2 are now my fav games.
