I've had the honor of knowing Marty since we were both 5 years old and lived nextdoor to each other. Even back then , he always told me what he wanted to do with his life...play Country music. I fully remember the very first time that he sang in public. My Dad was the pastor of the church where His family were members. His mother , Ms.Hilda played the piano for the church. Mr. John is now in HEAVEN , but I still stay in contact with Ms.. Hilda and his sister Jennifer. Good down home Christian people !
I just "discovered" Marty Stuart while listening to Tom Petty Radio in Sirius. Marty's cover of "Fault Lines" featuring just him and his mandolin, is superlative (pun intended). I'm a fan of blues rock, Just discovering country music.
I've become a huge fan of the Superlatives over the last few years, I've always known about Marty and his mastery of stringed instruments since his days with John R Cash. I kind of turned away from country when that early 90's Nashville pop caught on. Thank goodness for these guys carrying the flag high, loud Fender guitars and Deluxe Reverbs and a million songs that stand up today.
Manuel stood by Marty when Marty's career and personal life were in a mess. Manuel made him a gorgeous jacket to help Marty regain confidence and had him to stay in his house while it was being made.

If anyone doesn't think Stuart grew up playing Bluegrass? Whew! It's all there.
So damned good.
Saw a 14 year old Marty Stuart in Lester Flatt's band years ago. So, yeah he's played some bluegrass, I'd say. lol
@@MeneerHerculePoirot Damn. That must have been something. Sort of jealous.
The best country music show on U Tube 👍👍 Great song Kenny
Damn those harmonies are spot on!
Thank you Marty for bringing Country back. The so called Country music played today is terrible.
Connie Smith, I believe" These Farmer's Blues" is the most beautiful song!

Hit a home run there, Harry Stinson!
I didn't know that bass player sang on there ever. Charlie Rich's song. 😊

Kenny reminds me of Buddy Holly! Cool 😎
One of the best ever!!!
Not often Harry Stinson is performing on guitar.

Such talent and.....class. So rich and deep and true compared to the filthy, shameful nonsense parading itself as country music today.
