Dear! My mother’s passed away in 2018, my dad passed away in 2021. I know how it feels like. Soon I’ll be 35 and this pain is still here. I just hope that you’ll learn how to turn this pain into something positive, into an outpoure love. Your channel is one of the greatest ever imho. Yes, we are watching it here in Russia. Please, hold on. It’s unbearably hard. Hopes and prayers. You are the best ever. Everything will be alright. Cheers from Moscow (not the best place to live in right now unfortunately). Me and my younger brother (he is 25) - we love you and we believe in you. Stay strong. Love, Kita.

I also want to take this as an opportunity to say a long overdue thank you, a bit over a decade ago now your videos helped a preteen me by giving me an escape while my dad was dying of brain cancer and deteriorating in front of my eyes.

Thank you for sharing this with us. I loved the video in which your mum sat down and answered questions -- what a character! A personality not easily forgotten. Best wishes to you, Johnny.

Dear John, sorry to hear about your loss. I feel so many similarities in our lives. I am fast heading towards 50 and have lost my mum to terminal cancer, we used to talk every day and she was also from Yorkshire just like you mum and looked and sounded so incredibly like your mum. I also lost my dad first like you so my bond to my mum grew much stronger. Games have often been my solice and often it’s games and games music that ties me to periods in my heart and memories. I guess this is why I adore your show so much and get so much from it
. I only wish I had a Kim when I was going through my loss and subsequent grief as it’s really tough facing those things alone. Thanks for show and all the time you give to it John

Take all the time you need and I'm sorry for what you're going through. Been watching the show for 10 years now, and when my father suddenly passed away a couple years ago, I remember watching all of your videos as an escape. It helped so much.

I am so sorry about your Mom. I know exactly how you feeling my mother passed away a few weeks ago also and my Mom was also always very supportive gaming wise and always say have fun playing your video game. It is a terribly hard loss to experience loosing a parent I was very lucky for 40yrs. Everyone spend time with your parents and tell them you love them.

Condolences to you for your mom.
I too have been out of it, lately. Having had to resign my job because of severe obsessive compulsive disorder.
Thanks for your videos. I too wax nostalgic for the late 90s era of gaming.
BTW the Social Security system in America needs major reform, from my experience with a disability
    Bes wishes

Damn, I am very sorry for your loss. The Final Fantasy video really hit home, as did this video. I lost my Mom the day before I turned 30. I am 46 now and still think about my Mom every day. I miss being able to call her and talk to her, I was lost for a very long time after she died. It gets better, and you have a wonderful family to help you through the harder times.

The amount of strength you’ve mustered for this video is so beyond what I could understand. Thank you so much for sharing that video with your mum years ago. So many tears from me atm but it seems like she had a good understanding on how much joy you have given people over the years. Seriously, never payed for cable and so much happiness felt because of you and what your parents did to help make you who you are. God tier mother imo dude.

Sorry for your loss. I lost my dad in 2013 and I miss him every day. I still have my sweet lil mom but it makes you cherish them much more. I had tough times with both of mine when I was younger, but i'm glad I made amends especially before the end with my dad.

I get that it's rough. My mom passed from cancer in 2021. I ended up diving into work to distract myself. Though I do regret not spending more time with her. But I will say that your probably dealing with it better then I did. I shut myself out. And it's easy to get sucked into that trap. And I'm just started to maybe want to hang out with people again. Which you know I should have done it sooner. But it hits people differently. But yeah take your time to grief if need be just don't let it consume you. Stay strong man

I know its a few weeks after uploading, but thanks for chatting with me on Sunday of the con. The passion you have for this is wonderful and inspiring. Also never stop enjoying the Octopath music! And hopefully you have had some time to begin to process your mother's passing. Take care.

Best wishes & prayers for your family John. I lost my mom in Dec 2022 so I have an idea of the difficulty processing all this. I'm still going through the grieving & healing process but all the great memories of her & personal growth I know I'm going through in myself & my relationships have helped the healing process. Your channel is definitely one I turn to for great joy. ❤

I also want to thank you for your visit to Arizona. I was one of those folks that walked with you after the panel. That was such a thrill to see that fantasy star picture taken in real time. By far, my best memory of this year's game on Expo.
And it's true everyone, this man is just as wholesome and happy as he is on video! And he did it while everything was going on at home. But you couldn't tell during the entire visit. It was just like hanging out with one of the boys in the basement, talking games and enjoying each other's company.
