Is it me or does the red barberry look like a friendly little red dog!

I like the large variety of plants. There are several plants that I'm interested in getting for my garden, great to see them here first.

Odd side comment by me: Your mulch is a luscious colour, beautiful in your plant palette! Well done, Stephany & Jim!

I'm impressed by the variety of plants you can grow in your climate zone. Even with the threat of a deep freeze every year. Really nice garden.

Love your Redbud! One Redbud cultivar that most people sleep on is Whitewater Redbud. I have two of them and they’re gorgeous. I’ve only had them for a little under 2 years and they’re doing great. Variegated foliage with a lot of white. Just beautiful!

I’ve got some sunshine Veronica and it’s gorgeous. I love it. All of the Veronica we have are very strong plants, disease resistant, just wonderful plants. My favorite is speedwell Veronica(ground cover) and I know some people say they’re invasive but it really is live mulch. I’ve never had to cut it out of plants, not yet🤞
I just love this garden tour series. It’s a great group of videos.

Loving these itemized garden tours! And the aerial shots 💚💚💚
I hope you'll be doing a video of the paver section. It would be awesome if you had a hardscape play list. Or even just did some TH-cam shorts on the hardscape/fence additions.
    You and Steph are awesome💚

Sticker shock at a chain nursery yesterday! I had a gift card from Christmas & my birthday is today so I thought I'd splurge a bit. I did finally find Brigadoon Hypericum but the prices on annuals are nuts! No Cuphea, no Fuchsia, a few Torenia & a Salvia I've never seen before. Who's buying 4" annuals for almost $8? I sure can't!

Hi Jim...I am in Missouri Zone 6a and I also have a Golden Falls Redbud, that is now at least 18 feet tall and probably 20 years old. Even though now it is showing it's age, grows so quickly and new shoots will blanket the ground here by June. Love this tree!

I love this part of your garden. It’s beautiful and inspirational. Love the yarrow & how you mixed dark purple salvia into the summer jewels. I have some butterfly weed too & have a monarch cocoon on the salvia next to it. Is that normal? Didn’t know they would use surrounding plants but the salvia likely offers more protection by the house. Japanese beetles eat my perennial cuphea for lunch lol yours look great!!

The barberry is really pretty. I’ve never been attracted to them much but that’s a great color addition to that spot.
I have some daffodil bulbs that are not dying back. The leaves are just as green as ever. February Gold is one of them. I went to move them from a container to the ground and the roots were massive. Just surprising that there still so green. Is that normal for some varieties?

I’m obsessed with all your all’s chartreuse pieces so beautiful, peaceful & zen like. Thank you for all the wonderful sharing & inspiration. What are your thoughts on ‘Sugar Tip’ Rose of Sharon? I got 2 of em to enhance Princess Pink butterfly bushes. States they’re seed free. Thank you much! Irma New Albany, IN 6b 💘 🌺

Interesting fact: I've got some angelonias and pentas on your recommendation and nobody pays any attention to them! 🙃 I did cut off the flowers once in hope to refresh it... The MOST popular pollinator plants so far are: alliums, nepeta, veronica and agastache, gaura.

Our ajuga patch developed a bare patch last season. I am not sure why since it seems indestructible. We stuck a bunch of hosta in it in the spring and it came roaring back- in spite of being dug up and trampled.

I’m jealous of your purple daydream BUT I’m disappointed you didn’t cover the plant bn the pittosporum and camellia that is having foliage (spots) issues. Please explain what the foliage issue is if you know and how to treat it? I’m probably overwatering causing foliage issues on my azaleas. Most of the tips are brown. And I’m watering them every 2-3 days TX 9a bc they were planted a month ago full sun until 3pm. So I’m trying to get them established. I think they have leaf blight. Thanks for sharing your garden struggles with us and what you’d do to remedy so we can learn as well.

Love your garden . I'm having a problem with something eating my salvia and dahlias. I would not be concerned except almost all the leaves are gone on most of the salvia. I don't see anything on them. Thoughts? Thanks

I despise barberries! They should all come with a WARNING and should never be planted in an entryway or any yard where children or dogs could come in contact with them!!! The thornes can get stuck in the skin and very hard to remove. When trying to remove a barberry using leather garden gloves and cardboard, I still ended up having to go to the hospital to get a few thornes out, one without success. Please think before planting!
