Thanks Thembisile! Glad you enjoyed it. I have a good friend whose name is Thembisile Dlamini, but we called her Vanessa. Makes me wonder, could you be her? If not that's okay. Welcome to my channel!
Just came from a holiday exploring Namibia, got home and booked our Canyon hike. So excited! Please share the list of songs used in the video? I am looking for the one that plays at 9 min and can't seem to locate it anywhere! Thanks for a great video😊
Thanks! That song at 08:42 is called 'Into the Wild I Go' by Jordan Frye. I feel like it was made for this video it fits so well. Another awesome song at 23:43 is called 'Who You Share It With' by Layup. Wraps up the whole video nicely. Your hike is going to be great! Enjoy :)
@KateKendallA Wow, this hike looks absolutely amazing! I didn't realise the Fish River Canyon is so dry and that the hike is actually quite tough. It looks like a lovely mixed bunch of hikers that all really enjoyed the journey and making friends along the way. This is excellent film work too- with all the interviews with the hikers sharing their experiences. 💥 Great job completing this big hike & for such an entertaining vid! I'll keep an eye out for future vids. 🌞
Thanks Casey, I really appreciate your support throughout the lifetime of my channel! One of our hikes is now forever captured here and I loved that hike and that video too! Hopefully there will more.
@@KateKendallA Love your channel and this hike seemed awesome! Keep up the great vid editing skills and film work! I’ll definitely keep my eyes pealed for your entertaining vids. Love the hidden gem hikes you reveal and the scenery is always so breathtaking. Definitely will join you on a hike again when you’re nearby. Glad to have done that one with you last year. ❤
If I am being honest, the first time I edited that part where you talk about your friend, I had a twinkle in my eye too. Thanks for sharing something beautiful.
Thanks Sven. Hopefully one day we can all hike together again. A reunion as such. We will have to plan carefully though because neither you nor I are in the region anymore and it is a journey for us.
I absolutely loved this. Had no idea what the Fish River canyon was like - so beautiful. The interviews made it even more interesting with the insight they gave on the emotional and spiritual journey of the hike. I look forward to seeing more of this filmmaker’s work!
I feel like I mainly watched people talk about the walk instead of the walk itself. Which is a shame because the few times you did show the environment it was absolutly beautiful and well fimed!
Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate it and will take that on for my next video. It makes sense to aim to show less of the people and rather more of the incredible scenery! Also, thanks for what you said about the filming.

You are magical.
I have never seen such beauty, thank you for sharing with us.
Hi Svetlana. What a lovely thing to say. Thank you so much. Your name is very interesting. I wonder where you are from. 🤗
So very well compiled and filmed
Thanks Grant.. and thanks for your nuggets such as, "Presence in the moment" I even titled a chapter after that. Perfect!
Truly touching and great work, Kate! You guys made the adventure a once-in-a-lifetime experience, a unique group of humans ❤️

I did this hike at 17, at 37 and doing it again this year at 39. This place crawls into your Soul like nothing else.
That's totally it. It crawls into your soul. Something about the way the canyon is so ancient, I feel contributes to that.
The earth is truly awe-inpiring. Can't wait to do this hike.
Thanks Jenny. I look forward to my next big adventure with you!

Thanks Satish :) Are you from India? It is so cool to see people from all over the world coming to see my videos. Very exciting for me.
Stunning footage and poignant touching music.
Thanks Alex. Looking forward to some more adventures with you on the trails and being spontaneous!
