Oh also to add check out roadside rc who has a great video on how to remove the cage as easy as possible. Its a great resource as his way makes it easier than normal
I just bought my second one of these last week, also took advantage the sale. My first was the V1 with the Dynamite electronics. One of the coolest rigs ever for sand and loose surfaces. I ordered the aluminum steering knuckles at the same time I ordered the buggy, you might as well go ahead and get them on their way, because you will eventually break them. Also upgraded to a 1/5 scale servo, Losi sells an aluminum mount to do it. Great vid, have fun with that thing!
I have this beast and only thing i got is a 1/5th servo mount and upgraded savox servo. This thing rips on 8s. Its also had one of my gnarliest wrecks I've ever had with an rc. It literally cartwheeled like 50' at 40+mph and with how crazy a crash it was i expected it to be in pieces!! Literally drove away in one piece! Was so impressed it survived something that crazy and being so massive. For anyone to not buy it at that sale price is crazy to me.
I have had mine now for 4yrs that’s not a basher shame t-bone racing isn’t around anymore they made some awesome upgrades for this beast killer shock protector and bumpers yea not easy to work on but that’s part of it definitely upgrade steering servo
I like the SRR so much i have 3 of them. My favorite electric RC but 2nd favorite RC overall. My first pick is the 5T. Anywho, all three of mine are the Baja Designs version and the last one i bought i ordered the Raceline version but they sent me the Baja Designs. Ohh well. I am doing a full custom build on my newest one. Getting the entire Vitavon package (ordered but takes forever to arrive), a high end servo with 1000+ ounch inches and a Castle Mamba Monster X 8s combo. I think I'm gonna put the sensor cable in it but im not yet sure. Castle systems are pretty dang good at not cogging even unsensored. The only issue i am having is which tires i want to put on it. I'm leaning toward stock tires on aluminum beadlocks but there are other selections i might pick instead. If i ever run the third one, i probably wont run it on 8s so the tires i run on my SCX6 might be a good option (Super Swamper SX). As far as the body goes, it is gonna go on one of my other 2 and gonna get the Raceline body for my 3rd one. The first one i ever bought was shortly after the SRR was released. I think it was 6 months. 2nd one was probably a year later. Third one was probably during Black Friday but i cant recall for sure. My first one hasnt broke in several years. Its got the Losi knuckles, Vitavon shock tower, front upper arms of my own design, front aluminum bulkhead, full T-Bone (RIP) bumper and skidplate package, a ESC metal plate i built that securely holds the esc, Hot Racing steering bell crank, 1/5 scale Losi servo mount, 1/5 scale servo, and a few other bits and bobs. Second has pretty much all that except my designed arms and vitavon shock tower.
@@nocontrolrc8290 I highly recommend one. You will need a killswitch (very easy to install). I also recommend a Killer B 7200 mah receiver battery. With this battery you will get over 3 hours of runtime. Should also get outerwears pullstart cover as well as outwears prefilter. The outwears arent necessary, but if you run it through grassy areas or very dusty, it will save you from extra maintenance.
I wanted one but they sold out! I got a Laser nut , its been great so far but I did get two 4s packs during the sale so I will be ready for the next sale. I thought 💭 only the grey ones were on sale… Horrizon wouldn’t let me have a white one for the sale price
They are fun. Can not go wrong with any Losi offroad truck. It also looks like the grey ones have been discontinued. Hopefully, the white ones stay, or they do an updated version
I got one on the way , the 1.5 mod gears , sold me , then the limit straps and the shocks are pretty good stuff also , jeeee thanx for making me purchase my 27th rc !! 🤣😂💪💪💪 There's no sought it's a great rc ! Why did I wait so late ng !! 🤣😂great video thanx much !
The most underrated machine out there. Had mine over a year and only thing i had to do was recalibrate the steering end points when i got it.
It's really good and a blast to drive. Thanks for watching

Well heck. Guess I have to add one to my collection.
I think part of the fun in this hobby is fixing and upgrading!!!! Plus every thing breaks at some point.
Well said
Totally! Driving is a part of the hobby but i get the same amount of Joy on wrenching and cleaning after a bash

That's awesome. I have never had a 5t but have been very tempted to sell some other trucks and pick one up
