Watching kev got me back into rc's after 35 years. Much better nowadays. Waiting 12 hours for batteries to charge was maddening at 11-12 years old. Transmitters & servos cost more than the cars back then
Ah remember those days. Had a Tamiya Lunchbox for Xmas when I was 13. Spent an age building it without realising how long the battery took to charge. 12 hrs for a 15 minute run 😂
Oh yes, I remember those days. My little brother and I got into the hobby around 1990 after breaking MANY Tyco brand rc's. First "real" rc was a Losi jrxT, then an LXT. Those early (for us) days were heaven for about 30 minutes until we burned through the only 2 NiCd battery packs we had. Then we'd wait impatiently for HOURS until they charged. For a 10/12 year old kid that seemed like an ETERNITY. Then... we pooled our allowances/savings and bought an RC10GT in '94. That opened up a whole other world of extended run times (and tuning issues). When it ran well, it was the most fun a kid could have. When that engine wouldn't run right it was incredibly maddening, but it taught us a lot about internal combustion engines and kicked off our "grown up car" obsessions. I've just recently got back into the hobby because I introduced it to my own 14 year old, and The brushless systems we have now just never cease to amaze me. Wish they were around when I was a kid! Although, with as fast as these are and how often we break parts, our cars would've most likely just ended up sitting on a shelf because we couldn't afford parts. Lol. Ah memories...
@@cliffjones9922 lmao, I've got a re-Lunchbox this year for Christmas! Will spend most of its time sitting on the shelf between the OG Hornet and X01 though, with a few runs to wind the dog up in the backyard!

@@rhyzenangelotumamao1909 Slow charge certainly took a veritable lifetime. The fast charger needed to run off a real car's battery and took about 15 minutes. Whenever family gatherings happened us kids would be out the front of the house with all our parent's bonnets up! Good times.

That was my favourite car when testing during my last few weeks at ARRMA. Another big difference is having a 3rd centre diff rather than a slipper clutch compared to the 3s. I loved the thing, jumps and handles brilliantly.
Perfect sunday, sat in my cabin with the log burner going. Coffee in hand watching Kevs video.... life is amazing !!!!!!!
Love my 6s Mojave blx. Only issue I had with jumping is stripping the ridges in servo horn on landing. Fixed the issue with an alloy servo saver horn. No issues since
This car represents a lot of the major positive trends in RC lately. Really solid addition the hobby.
Just finished up my little project last week, Mojave ESC, motor and cemter diff into what used to be a V1 Senton. Drives great, its a blast!

awesome vis as always Kev. Mate, the 4S version Mojave' drifts and handles so much better than it's 6S big bro' because it simply has less power. I remember the 80's Group B Rally cars which were insanely over-powered, and were killing and ending the careers of the worlds best drivers, because despite the exquisite driving skills of the elite drivers, their human reaction times just could not keep up with the incredible HP of the group B Rally Cars, they only had to get caught out once and if that was in a bad spot, for example a fast turn with trees surrounding the course, they were doomed! I think the same dynamics are occurring here too my friend! ( Group B rallying cars were eventually banned due to the number of deaths/serious injuries they caused, being replaced by Group A and the lower category of Group N )
That truck looks really good (scale-ish) when just slid around the place and doing average jumps. Great vid as always.
I done that side wheel on my stock slash 4x4 vxl, was incredibly difficult but oh boy is it cool to see
I think Kev's vehicle control has gotten better, especially if he's thinking the car has a gyro when it doesn't. I think the racing has done some good.

The mojave 6s exb is by far my favorite car I own. I have abused the hell out of it for the last 2 years and have only replaced 1 rear diff, the body, and an A arm. I'm running the heavy max 6 combo too
I have always been into RC's but the wife is not and wants me to sell them, watching Kev really keeps me excited.
Kev your videos are always awesome to watch. The purpose of the lever at the battery is if you run shorter batteries, it allows it to help hold them better. What camera do you mount on the hood, and which one did you place inside the Mojave 4s?

The udr is cool for scale and is great to drive certain places for sure. It definitely isn't any type of real basher though, the front end dips on a lot of jumps and the solid rear axle makes it flip over too much lmao, not the toughest either.

for your speed sausage you should try using an fpv camera so you can avoid walls that are to far to see from your perspective
also i love your videos they have inspired me to do lots of cool things with my cars and even start a rc club at my school.
What motors and esc's do you recommend for speed and power but affordable aswell, I have been watching for 3 years and need to know for my upgrades

I bought a rebuilt senton 3s from a friend and it's such a blast, power to weight is definitely a key factor with these 3s cars
The 4s Mojave is a great car. Its fast, durable, handles great and its a ton of fun. We compared this to the Traxxas Ford Raptor R and this just seemed to have more features and be a better value. Friends have the Raptor R and they are pretty closely matched in actual use. The Mojave seems a bit more solid - but its heavier.
Hey Kev! The Senton does NOT have a gyro.😂😂😂😂. The remote is SLT3 not the DX3. Cool video, as usual! 👍🏻🤣

The two wheeling is possible just like the Losi moto. The two wheel off the ground become gyros and help it balance. Super cool!

Reminds me of the Team Losi SC8 except for the SC8 had metal chassis and shock towers. Was a super fun truck and not to big for most tracks that wouldn't let you run a true 8th scale on 6s

The center being holed w deep notches to fix the nuts to the cups….
Hard rubber…or things like inline rollers wheels…maybe a 3D printed tpu or hard rubber…

7:30 sounds like the car ripped ass, literally.
I need to know the gradation of the silicon oil for the center diff out of the box. Looking through the spare parts on the Arrma website, I found that for the shocks it's 300cst and for the front and rear diffs it's 10,000.
I wasn't worried for that 6S for a second at all. I have one and it takes an absolute kicking, over and over and over.
I have previously watched quite a few reviews of this truck so I didn't really need to watch another....furthermore, I am not really a fan of skatepark bashing but somehow, you brought something new and interesting to your video that no one else has shown and for that, you deserve credit. Do they make rc cars that have actually metal bodies with actual components as a real care like a dashboard with actual textures from cars with scaled down everything in a care the engine in the front or back depending on the car?
we used to run the durango buggy body on the durango sc trucks to protect the innards when cmcc was still in bagington. im sure i remember your name from there come to think of it!!!

As a Senton owner, if you spin in reverse, it spins really fast and doesn't flip over too easily

I owned only monster trucks.. but these Mohaves look like fun.. quick/ agile.
Honestly the little bits of body damage kinda adds character to a car, makes it seem like its been through some rough stuff but it's still trucking along.
you should look at the Redcat Racing Volcano-16 1/16 Scale Monster i have it and i what ti know how to make it batter on the box it says it goes 18mph
I noticed that with my Kraton V5 body compared to my V3 body.
It only had a minor tap and the shell has split. Arrma are skimping on body shell quality lately
Yup I can almost guarantee they switched to a thinner/cheaper plastic in order to save themselves money. See it all the time in many different industries as I'm sure you have as well. Sad because for the consumer the price only has increased.
The last time the Senton cared was never, its a great truck and tough as hell for sure.
Can anyone tell me what sort of these cars would be most comparable in size to a 1/8 buggy? 4wd , 6s?
I will use it on a 1/8 buggy track and don’t want something too huge and want it similar size to the other cars. I think a udr will be much bigger!?

I need some help. I have a Traxxas slash, it’s on 2s. Originally it was brushed, but I broke the motor so I got a brushless motor for it. It keeps cogging and overheating like crazy. Do you know what’s wrong with it? And if you do can you please help
For the floor being wet, the grip is great.
I don't believe the 3s Senton has a gyro, it runs the older slt300 reciever which is quite basic.
This was for sure true on the one I bought in 2019-2020ish and for the year or so after while I worked at a hobby shop. They definitely could have changed that but I've never seen it on any 3s box or advertised.

That thing by the battery is if you have a shorter batter it is to keep it from moving back and forth

The Spektrum receiver in the 3s Arrma stuff doesn't have a gyro in it, Kev.
There might have been no grip but there was some clean drifts
