I am super late to this one. I bought the UDR first and it broke something on every outing. I bought an SBR 2.0 and its never broken anything other than one tire. I put a 23T pinion in it and it does 70MPH all day. It drives better, handles better and jumps better than the UDR. I havent pulled the UDR off the shelf in months now. The only changes I made to the SBR are to go up to 70 wt front and 60 wt rear shock oil, took off the rear toe plates and set to 0. I also moved the lower rear shock back one hole. You also want to get the rear frame braces. I bought those before the truck even showed up due to the big issue. Dont bother with the 3D printed ones, go metal. Went through 3 plastic ones.
@@inyourearhole225I suggest going for the carbon fiber ones from scorched parts rc, they are cheaper than the metal ones and are lightweight with similar rigidity. Mine haven't broken to date and they look absolutely phenomenal if u rum them without the body as it is using real and proper carbon fiber
That thing is crazy huge. We have the Mojave and that one is already a beast! The suspension seems to be tuned for a bit more 'general driving' compared to say UDR.
I dont have the SBR 2.0 but i do have the 1.0 (never been used and dont intend on using it). I bought two and gave one to my brother which i use every once in a while. i also have three Super Rock Reys. The Rey platform is my favorite platform for electric RCs. I also have the UDR and honestly like the UDR as well but it is quite a bit different in the way it drives and handles. I do intend on getting the 2.0 one of these days but i also have a Kraken Vesla, Losi race buggy, and the Axial SCX6 on the purchase list. Those 3 alone are about $3500 once i have those 3, then i will get the SBR 2.0. UDR or the SBR if i had to pick one, I'm not sure i'd be able to pick. The SBR is definitely built more durable, but the way the suspension works in the UDR and how much skill you need to drive it brings its own thrills. Would i buy the SBR and the UDR again if i had to, yes, i would.
Just bought a Super Rock Rey, now losi’s website says it’s discontinued, it’s a shame. I hope there’s enough replacement parts for at least two years. Do you know any aftermarket wheel/tire set with the 20mm hex? Seems quite hard to find. Not even proline makes it.
That’s for all the info! I bought one on sale last week, just waiting for it to arrive. Ordered some chassis braces. Two questions, what brand of batteries are you using and what is the mAh and your average run time if you’re not going all out? I guess I’ll find out when I have it, but hoping Incan fit something bigger than 5000mah. Also going to gorilla tape the inside of the tires to avoid the ballooning. I’m not going to upgrade anything until those parts break
Running HOOVO 4s 5500mAh 120c batteries they fit well. There is more room for a little bigger batteries. I have done 3 runs average about 35 mins of run time.
That’s pretty decent tbh, I was a little worried my 5000mah batteries wouldn’t last long enough. Read some people only getting 10 mins, but they must have had it floored the entire time. Curious if you’ve made some adjustments for the handling. I’m gonna wait and see, but seems like it needs some minor tweaks. Super excited for this beast!
I put the 0 degree hubs on that come with it and installed the chassis braces. I beat up on it. The latest video shows some hard hits. It has held up well.
@@nocontrolrc8290 ya sorry I made that comment before watching your new video. Surprised the brace broke off, but if it didn’t maybe it could have caused more damage? Anyways, great videos, thanks for sharing. Subscribed!
No problem, the brace break was totally my fault that was a hard landing. If you haven't seen one or picked one up in person, they are so impressive you will be super happy with it.
I bought mine for $699. Its worth it at the price i feel. Not sure how much it is going for on the Traxxas site as i havent needed many parts for my 5 Traxxas RCs lately.
Just ordered mine today with $200 off for fathers day so $749 good deal imo for sbr 2.0. I also have the older sbr 1.0 arrma Mojave 4s and Traxxas UDR. Love the scale details on the sbr 2.0 it will be fun to have in my collection. Gosh this hobby is so expensive. Haha. Couple crawlers, Outcast 6s ,vendetta, 4tec vxl couple Tamiya tt02 and losi no prep drag summit racing are a few of my other rigs.

The stickers are normal. I got two of them and both are the same! I just added a secondary rear shock on mine with no spring runs sweet
Interesting.
Same i just went around both of mine with a heat gun and got them to stick down best i could. Seems to help a lot.
The secondary shock in the back sounds sweet.. is it a stock shock?

Well I have a udr and Arrma Mojave they are both great
I want to get a super Baja Rey 2.0
To join the family
It was to good of a deal when horizonhobby.com had 200 off. I still want a UDR as well. I will get one at some point

GPM has perfect spring rates for that truck with a little lighter weight oil it won't roll it's so much better.
Great info, thanks
I almost bought one but I decided to go with the udr since it was the original. The Losi is such a copy it seemed weird
Actually, if you think about it, the UDR came well after the Axial yeti score platform. So, the UDR is the copy. But both are great trucks.
Do you regret not getting the Losi
I love mine! Its a powerhouse and a beast!!!
Did I hear you correctly about scheduling to use a sand pit? That would be so sweet to do and would buy one if I could do that too! Where do you live?
We are out of new hampshire. There is a pit right down the road but it's so busy with dump trucks it hasn't been and option yet
From my personal experience, you can’t resist your initial yearning, just a matter of time before buying the rc you wanted
True thanks for watching
It's massive in a good way
I wanted a UDR but its so close in price to this beast.
I haven't even scratched the surface if what this truck can do. Going put brace on the back of the cage and then see what it can really do.
What is the size of the battery compartment?
It's big. I fit 2 hard pack 5500mAh in it, no problem, but I can send you a real measurement when I get home tonight

Where was it on sale? Is there a site?
It was on sale at horizonhobby.com last week. unfortunately the sale is over now.
you're telling me I bought it in person while there was a sale going on? that's my luck 😅
I love my use. But I want this too. :)

It's a good truck, but the UDR is still king.
I enjoy both of them.
How could it be king if it is 15 to 20 mph slower and less capable overall?
