The M65 from Teesar Mil-Tec is in the same price segment and has all the features of the original M65 jacket. The color corresponds to the M65 from the late 1960s. By the way, love all your presentation .
very informative. The extra holes in the liner are to close the liner if you wear it separately. Best regards from Germany.

If you still need advice on a commercial one, just get the Rothco or similarly cheap one. The Alpha ones are just overpriced fashion items. They don't produce them to the standards they did for the US military but charge ridiculous prices. Just make sure the seams, snaps, and zipper is gtg.

@@KissMyConverseFool I like the 90s Austrian army versions (one gortex version and one or two cotton versions I think), and you can sometimes find it available in XL or XXL for under $100. It might also be helpful to search for M65s (USGI or otherwise) using the NATO size codes so you can find one long enough. Maybe look for the three color desert version of the M65 too, that's a cool one to have if you can find it on Ebay or similar sites. I agree with Billy, Rothco might make a few legitimate NSN items for the US Army (at least in recent history) but they also make a lot of junk that's borderline counterfeit. Also they've actually bragged about expanding their industrial ties to China, which seems like about as bad of a move as bragging about being popular in Germany in 1939, or talking about how excited you are to go to the 1980 Olympics.

Hey man, I just found your channel the other day & I probably watched this vid 3 or four times since! lol I"m a huge fan of these M-65 field jackets, both genuine issue & Rothco...Rothco was the very first jacket that I owned for the M-65 field jacket...I loved it!, it kelp me nice & warm when it got around -10 degrees here in Potsdam Ny...few small things I like about Rothco's version rather than the genuine issue was the drawstrings were longers so I could make a nice tight Knot & there's just something about the liners I like about Rothco...I made the mistake of accidentally ordering it one size larger & decided to gave it to one of my co-workers...I always wanted to get another Rothco M-65 but brand new ones are selling for over $88.99 & I can find genuine issue field jackets in fine condition for half that price

There are some Rothco Made in the USA that are tagged rn37572 but do not state Rothco . They are 50/50 Cotton/Poly and are better than the made in China 65/35 Cotton/Poly that Propper and others like Fox etc are using. The do not have the shell sewn to the inner liner and are made by a mix if diffrerent vendors or Contractors and I think Rothco OEM'd them or bought out the stocks and tagged them. The zippers are always brass.
