⭐️ I’m an introvert. I’m happiest with my hubs, my fur baby and my diamond paintings. My only friends are all on You Tube. I have never been on FB and am so glad I’m not when I hear these kinds of stories.
PS I just finished Leo by Josephine Wall from Diamond Painting Deutschland two days ago. 225 colors. I’m so in love with the finished result. Just kitted up and started Gnome For The Holidays from DAC.
I could really relate to this post. I'm only on Alysa's Facebook because I wanted to support her. I don't even know how to do anything but thumbs up and comment on her posts. I thought I was the only one!

Yay! Another thing we have in common! I’m a fish hobbyist as well. My oldest fish are 17 years old, freshwater clown loaches. A friend is helping me with a major re-scaping of both my aquariums and it’s going to be really cool when it’s done. I’m sorry you were hurt, and when it’s a friend the wound is deeper. Know that there are many others in your community that care about you and appreciate you! 💚💫

I am so glad you were able to get all your surgeries and on the way to mending. I’m so sorry you’ve been hurt. I’ve learned from being so open myself, that not everyone has genuine kindness and compassion. I'm glad you are recovering well from your surgery, and I'm sorry you had such a bad experience with that small shop owner. Most people are not that way. Many of us may not say much a lot of the time, (me anyway), but we are here. Your new fish tank is gorgeous! Love all the beautiful colors.

🌟 I’m so glad you are feeling better from your surgery! You definitely didn’t need the stress of the “friend” not being a friend! I love that you are helping out small shops. I always feel awkward on creations morin’s group talking about buying a putty or pen from another shop 🫣 she’s always supportive though which is great! Also, I love watching the Olympics ! Gymnastics is my favorite but it’s been interesting to watch some of the less popular things that you don’t see on tv really. I’m from the US so I cheer for them, but also get excited for Canada, the young man French swimmer Leon Marchand, and other countries that have never won medals before getting their first ones this year! I’ve been working on home sweet home Dorothy by Hannah Lynn (DAC) for the OzinAug event. I hope you can enjoy diamond painting again and know you have many other online friends that are actually good friends 💜

⭐️ Glad you're feeling better. I had an umbilical hernia repair and I'm finding the most difficult thing is restrictions on lifting. I live alone so that makes it hard.

Thanks Alysa. I am so happy your infusions are having a positive impact on your life and that your surgery went so well. I had to have the big single incision with mine so the recovery several weeks. I have had several abdominal surgeries and I totally understand that pain from the gas they use. Sometimes it's way worse than the pain from the surgery. I am sorry you had to deal with a friend treating your badly again...so sorry. Just don't let them take up any more space in your head than necessary and keep being the good person that you are. Hang in there sweetie and have a good week.

I completely understand, I too have been very cautious when it comes to putting myself out there or trying to make friends….even in the diamond painting community. As soon as I start getting close to anyone I seem to have a panic mode that tells me to start backing off. I am so sorry you had to go through this in the group with someone, it’s so hard to read people and their agendas online. Unfortunately people tend to take advantage of some of the best people out there because of their kind and beautiful hearts so maybe you can take that to heart. I have to remind myself not to let those people change my core being and continue to strive to be a good/kind person …but it can be hard when you start feeling resentful. I am glad you kept the group running, it really is my favourite one. I hope the rest of your week gets even better!
Hi K-Otic! I totally understand that panic mode I usually do the same thing. I even tried to do that with my husband back when we were dating! It definitely was hard to not become jaded and instead continue to be as positive as I can be.

Take some filter media from the established tank and put in the filter and it will be cycled, you won’t have to wait. I had a pleco that lived 20 years! She passed away about a month ago. She was huge. Glad you’re feeling better 😊
What a smart idea I didnt think of that! We let it cycle for a few weeks. We added bacterial starter liquid. Fish are moved over and are thriving now! I wonder if our pleco will grow bigger now the tank is about 3x the size of the old one
Alysa, I am so sorry to hear about your bad experience with someone you trusted as a friend. Don’t second guess or doubt yourself one bit. I think that because you are a wonderful human being you believe that everyone else is. Unfortunately over the years I have found out, and sometimes in very upsetting ways, that there are quite a number of people that are only out for themselves. However, don’t give up, cause there are many good people out there. Always remember, we care and are always here for you. ❤😊xxx

So happy to hear you doing well after surgery...as for the fish tank I can't wait for January 2025 when my husband promised me another tank but with clown fish...finding Nemo...I'm not a subscriber for too long but I look out now everytime when u have a new video uploaded 😅...I'm from south africa and I must admit here we don't get nice good quality paintings ...always love the ones u show ...anyways you stay safe and look after yourself it's great watching this win and chat

He’s a betta fish and likes to come out of his pineapple when I’m diamond painting (his tank is beside my workspace). hey sunshine! I'm glad the surgery was successful and you're feeling well. I'm starting my vacation today, so I'm slowly catching up on your videos and you accompany me on diamond painting. I'm currently working on Hades and Persephone by Margaret Morales and I'm absolutely in love! I'm very sorry that you were hurt so much by this person, but the good thing is that you got rid of the toxic relationship and although it hurts and is frustrating, it will really benefit you. I'm flying to Majorca with my husband on Wednesday and I'm excited! 💙🌴 I send you kisses and hugs tightly.

Just found your channel and I love your voice and ways of doing things. I also have chronic pain from a major surgery in Dec. 2022. Necessary thoracotomy caused nerve pain across my left side and abdomen, thankfully using Gabapentin fairly successfully.
Welcome! I’m sorry you also deal with chronic pain. I’m glad gabapentin is working for you I was on that quite a while and the side effects became too much for me. Thankfully I have a special infusion now that usually keeps the nerve pain to a minimum these days
You are incredibly generous for lifting up small shops. Sadly theres always someone who will take advantage of that. I've found there are always flags and warnings that let us know someone isn't who we thought or are not a good fit for us but i think we have a tendency to explain them away and it drags out the inevitable. My oldest kiddo went through some crap with who she thought were friends. I'm trying to teach her to listen to those flags early so maybe it lessens the hurt. But i don't know lol i tend to not interact with many people.⭐️
Thanks Lisa! Ya sometimes we do ignore red flags. I try and see the best in people but sometimes there is nothing good. There are alot of us here who like to stick to ourselves! It makes me feel less alone so thanks for sharing!

Hi! Your fish tank is beautiful. I’d love to pics once you get some fish in it. Watching fish is very peaceful. Years ago, I had a striped bottom feeder that ate the algae and junk. He was small to start with but got pretty big considering he was about an inch at first. Sometimes we couldn’t find him and he’d be sucking on the light fixture at the top, which meant he wasn’t in the water much. Twice while cleaning the tank, he jumped out of the water! ⭐️ I’m working on a partial special drill project for an event this month. I’m in SC and hurricane Debby has me working at home for a few days. Not that I mind. Hoping we don’t get too much flooding or damage. I’m sorry someone hurt you. It does hurt when someone you thought was a friend turns out not to be. I very cautious with online friendships, I hear about so many scammers. It’s sad but you have to keep your guard up nowadays. Take care! Glad you are feeling better and hope it continues to improve.
I have some sort of stripped bottom feeder as well and he likes hiding in one of our ornaments that has a hole in the bottom. he's our oldest fish right now. I hope the hurricane doesn't cause too much damage. thanks for taking the time to share!

🌟So happy to hear that the surgery went well and the Lidocain injections are giving you som relief from the chronic pain 🌟And I can really relate to insomnia making one crazy - after my concussion my sleep was affected ALOT! At first I slept all the time but after 3 weeks it had turned around and I could barely get any sleep - I wouldn't wish that for my worst enemy! I got a lot of rest but I only got about 3-4 hours of sleep in a day - wich made my recovery so much worse and as you say - it makes one feel crazy. Thankfully, in my case I was able to get some melatonin from the doctor wich helped me a lot and now my body tells me when it's time to go to bed and doesn't allows me to sleep in - resulting in the healtiest sleep schedule I can remember ever having 🌟
I really hope that you'll get to a point someday that your health issues gets more manageable and there's less struggle and pain ❤️

Thank you! My family is very small just my parents and in-laws and my husband. I wish I had kids and eventually grandkids, I don’t think it’s in the cards for us so I have my fur babies I love dearly. The unconditional love of a pet is just the most special thing

I'm finishing up Lola Dream by RawSueshii with DAC love the kit and the artwork. It's my 1st square kit so afr no complaints but square are definitely different than rounds. Hi Alysa Im so happy your surgery went well❤ . I left the group because of people like that. I'm really happy I can still follow you here. I look forward to all your videos. My family and I moved to another province a year and a half ago and for some reason people stopped talking to me like I didn't exist anymore. It can be so hurtful and I'm sorry you were treated like that. I am home alone everyday as well but have my pups to keep me company and my diamond painting of course! 😊❤

Ive experienced that too when you move its like you moved across the world people easily forget about you. I am glad you have puppies to keep you company. I dont think I could ever live without one!

So, I can't keep watching without speaking up about this. The person who wronged you was not only thoughtless but despicable, because she has to know from long experience what a kind and generous person you are. This is outrageous, Alysa.
And for those of you out there blaming yourselves for not knowing what is wrong with you because your pain persists, DON'T. It's not your fault. It is sad and even degrading to have to keep on seeking medical help until you find some answers but please, don't let your own lack of knowledge keep you from trying to find out the truth.

Thank you! Did you have a disc replacement or fusion? I’ve had a disc replacement myself. I remember it painful and my first sneeze was so so scary! I hope it improves soon for you!

Sadly there are toxic people out there, what ever you do ,don’t give her time in your head .Like a friend said to me forgive and let go but never forget …. I had to do that with someone and it worked . You have a fantastic group here ,there will always be that bad apple. Never ever give them time in your head. You are one fantastic lady ❤🤩

I’ve also been in a diamond painting “funk” lately, yesterday was the first time I touched any of my diamond painting stuff since mid-June. 😳. But I’m feeling much better mentally, and I’m hoping to finish up the custom cross stitch conversion I ordered from Jaded Gem Shop today! (That made me feel even worse about my “funk”, I was so close to completing it during Pride month and then I just felt like I didn’t have the energy for 6+ weeks).

I’ve had many diamond painting funks. I try and do some other hobby for a bit and usually I’m back to diamond painting in no time. Sometimes it takes longer usually kitting up something new helps

Hello... I've been out of the loop for a week, my children came together for a visit! My eldest (son) came from Belgium, middle son from Colorado and my daughter lives near me. So I had a house full with my grown up kids and grandchildren...⭐

I am not really watching the Olympics, though Gymnastics and swimming are my favorite. Most likely I will watch 🏄♂️ because I love ocean sports. Probably because I am a Californian.
I am almost fully recovered from a bad fall last month.
My dog, a Doxie-Beagle named Herschel injured his back. So, he went to the Veterinarian yesterday. Herschel is such a friendly boy. Herschel got five medications, plus Laser treatment. My Personal assistant canceled Herschel pet insurance. So yesterday Cost me $305.00. I had left my Debit card at home by mistake, so I had to pay cash. My Personal assistant has never owned pets, and therefore doesn't understand the importance of insurance.
She hates Herschel for no reason. Herschel will go to her to be petted, and she swings her foot at him. I tell her, Herschel wants you to pet him. She responds with I hate that dog. Her husband pets Herschel every time he sees Herschel. My Personal assistant doesn't understand and doesn't want to understand.
My Personal assistant took my credit cards because as an ADHD person I impulsively shop. So she thought I would stop shopping. Didn't work. She told me on Sunday she hasn't paid my Credit cards in three months. I told her to start paying them the response was no. Then she folded her arms in front of me crunched her eyebrows up and said " I don't care about your credit rating, and I don't care if you loss everything, plus go bankrupt. Then she was her puppydog husband followed her out the door.
Well, later she texted me from hospital, her Oxygen was only 88%. She has to stay Hospitalized until the doctors know what is going on. Well, God's sister Karma saw how my Personal assistant was treating me, and decided she need a dose of payback.
You are a very nice person, stay that way.
I enjoyed watching the gymnastics and swimming this year! I am glad you are almost recovered from your fall. I pray no more falls in the future. I am sorry Herschel hurt his back. Vet trips can be very expensive without insurance!! I am sorry your assistant doesnt like him. that is unfortunate. I would be mad if she swung her foot at my dog. I am sorry you are dealing with an assistant such as that. She doesnt sound very nice. I believe in Karma too!

You've learned huge life lessons. On another note, I so enjoy listening to your videos. The variety of personal stories & input of diamond painting info keeps it interesting for me. Thank you very much! I do have a brother and sister they are 14 and 16 years older than me so I grew up as an only child. My parents live nearby. I wish they were closer though!
I know what you mean. For too many years, doctors told me it was all in my head, before one neurologist finally ordered a brain and spine MRI. And yeah, both were full of lesions. (Multiple Sclerosis). That was 20 years ago, and I still feel like a fraud sometimes.
I am sorry to hear you were treated like that. IT is so hard to be young and unwell. They dont even want to investigate things sometimes!!! I hope your MS is under control now.

Hello so sorry the hear that some person are rude to you. I believe that in diamond painting group ,some people like to cause problem or back stabing just for the fun of it. I am in Québec in those kind of people are doing the same thing here on few group. Very sad 😢 ( sorry for my english!!!!) 😂
