I'm fairly new so I'm still in that honeymoon phase so I'm not sure what to say. However, please no that there are people cheering for you behind the screens and I for one, genuinely, wish good things for you. 😊🙂

🐞 Oh my dear...I am so sorry that you are at the deeper end of what seems like an endless struggle with depression and anxiety... I am 70 yrs old and experience all that you are feeling...this may seem trivial..but I too have had major surgeries and found that anesthesia ..over time ..really factored into the imbalance and unsettled stages you are going thru...for you..these surgeries are very important...throughout my life I have kinda leaned on a mantra of " this too shall pass". patience in knowing that this will all pass and all the good feeling will come back.. However , please always remember to discuss these feelings with your Dr. and trust there are medications that can bring back your balance...take care🤗

So sorry to hear you’ve been feeling down. It’s so hard to separate what is going on and not take it personally, whatever it may be. I’m easily overwhelmed by small things. Alysa, I am so sorry but I understand. I’m struggling as well with my chronic pain. I’m having a very hard time finding a comfortable position to diamond paint. The struggle is real! I hope you find some sunshine ☀️ soon!

Hey Alysa Thank you for being so brave as to share your struggles as well as the good things in your life (your little animals) ❤❤ Usually, when I have struggled with my hobbies, I will give myself a set time every day, or every other day if that's better, and then I HAVE to sit down and work on that hobby 😊 Find a project that makes you smile, that way it's easier 🥰 You know, you could do a video about your animals, tell how you got them, how you care for them (especially the little ones and fish) and the food they get. Just an idea 🙂🙂

Thank you for the WIP and chat, Alysa. Thank you for sharing your struggles with all of us, I know that it is so helpful for others, as well as for yourself to get some things of your chest. Sending you lots of hugs and prayers to get through this. I have been diamond painting for 3 -1/2 years now and have not experienced burn-out yet but I am aware it is possible. Katie did a video with some tips that she has found helpful and might be of help to you. Hope you have a better week!

I’m sorry you’re having such a tough time lately! I think more people care about what you have to say than you realize! 😜 I’m always excited to see what you have up and hear what’s going on! With my anxiety I have to practice a lot of thought stopping sometimes to keep from getting myself worked up. I’m sure it’s harder for you to avoid the drama in the community since you’re so immersed in it and have your own group. Prayers that your surgery helps! Such little cutie creatures you have! 😍😍😍

Thank you for sharing your struggles. In a weird way, it was oddly comforting hearing someone else who is going through some struggles because it makes me feel like I’m not alone. Having chronic pain and back and neck issues- had 2 level spinal fusion less than a year ago- sometimes it’s a struggle getting through the day but I remember to count my many blessings and remember how truly blessed I am in so many ways.

Alysa, I’m praying you find your happy again. You do make a difference in many of our days. Sharing your thoughts and troubles shows others that struggles happen to others too. It’s hard to always be the one who puts the face on that everyone wants to see, doing that and not sharing can make you dead inside or just irritated. I would know, it’s been me before. It’s not pretty. When I get discouraged with my paintingI have to switch each time from a round to square to make me feel an accomplishment. I at least know that I’m doing something that takes my mind off the worldly things that take up so much if my mind. Chronic anxiety, worry and over-thinker here🙋🏼‍♀️. Your channel makes a difference and so do you. Here is to good yet to come😊❤

so sorry that you are struggling I myself suffer with anxiety and depression and I understand what you are going through everyday is the same thing like you it's only my animals that makes me smile I have a jack Russell I take her on the park everyday and meet people and I do enjoy that but after that I am in pain with osteoarthritis thank you so much for sharing ❤

PS I wonder if this isn’t the right moment for you to work on some of the darling partials out there: gnomes, cats, cows, chickens, etc. All those faceted marquis and flat back Pearl drills and slivers might be just what would satisfy the painting urge -but you’d be finished in one sitting. Win win! (The gnomes are all so stinkin cute) Just an idea.. ❤

Unfortunately, I don't have any suggestions on bringing back the joy of diamond painting for you. Sometimes hobbies just reach an end, but it's nothing you have to decide right away. Your videos are enjoyable bc you have a calming voice, & people are drawn to your kindness & sweet spirit, so continuing on TH-cam in a different way is an option. Is there possibly any interest in creating a blog? You've got a lot you could talk about & share with people. As far as hobbies, have you thought about working puzzles? It might not stress your arm, it's a creative outlet, & it's addictive! It seems you're a social person, so you might consider volunteering for an hour or two a couple days a week at a nursing home--if you don't mind being around old people & if it wouldn't depress you to be there. Nursing homes welcome volunteers. You'd be a breath of fresh air for the shut-ins. Since you're a nurse, there may be some type of volunteering you could do at a hospital w/o committing full time with the understanding you need to take off with health issues. Maybe you could do remote nursing and work for a Dr office or ins company or something.🤷‍♀️It wouldn’t get you out of the house but it would redirect your mind a few hours a day. Just a thought.

Hi Alysa. Sorry to hear you’re struggling. I’m not sure my suggestions for burn out are great but maybe try so if like the mini kits or mini dazzler kits, or maybe try something completely out of your wheelhouse. Hope your painting mojo comes back.

I know how you feel , I have so many hobbies since I get kinda bored doing the same hobby over and ovet , I took a few months off from diamond painting moved over to adult coloring then to jewerly making and quilting and now back to diamond painting 😅 so I know the burnt out feeling and sometimes life is just too busy but maybe break a bit more and you will come back to enjoying it again like I did plus I did smaller kits to feel like I made progress , take care and do what you enjoy and maybe even a little diamond painting you can finish very quickly like mini ones ? 😊❤

I always love seeing pics and updates on your "dinosaur" babies and your fish tank is just absolutely beautiful. I am so glad that those things bring you some joy during this difficult time. I wish I had advice for you on how to come out of the depression you are in right now but I know you will. The only way to the other side is to just go through it and I know that you will feel better eventually and your mojo will magically appear again. Sometimes we just need a break from certain things but you will be back. Sending tons of good vibes and wishes that the surgery goes well and that you are feeling much better about things soon. 👻👻👻

Sending encouragement today! I think taking a short break from diamond painting isn’t a bad thing! I think crafting should he something you enjoy. You are adored by your community and I would listen to videos of you talking about your sweet little creatures and what is going on in your life that had nothing to do with diamond painting! You are more than this craft and you’re valued for you alone!

Alysa, so sorry you are having a rough time. Praying you feel better soon! A possible suggestion for your DP: have you thought about trying the DAC mini dazzlers? I’ve been working on those almost exclusively for a good while. They are quick and fun, and I’m keeping them in little budget photo albums, one painting per sleeve ( not using the reverse side since the DP are thicker). I’m trying to return to some larger paintings in my stash, but the 4x6 are very satisfying. I would like to purchase a set for you if you can let me know which one you like.
