I had to laugh when you mentioned the “collecting phase”! 😂 i have been a crafter most of my life (i’m almost 70). the last years have been tough with physical problems and great difficulty with depression. but i’ve been finding some joy again. about 6 months ago i began my collecting phase with materials for making gnomes because i find them so delightful. but the holidays have passed and i’ve needed something else to look forward to. junk journals and paper crafting has taken that place. the first junk color journal i actually made was over 50 years ago when a high-school art teacher assigned us the task of making a scrapbook containing all of the colors of the rainbow and beyond using whatever mediums we wanted to use. i went to town! i loved it! like you, in this tutorial, i utilized paint chips as one of the forms of color in my scrapbook. . . along with many other things as well. i ran across your wonderful tutorials about 6 weeks ago and am absolutely enthralled with your vast creativity and many wonderful ideas for crafting. i also love that you use recycled items. i am on a low fixed income and can’t afford the high priced gadgets that so many other crafters use. i am now currently in the supplies gathering process and you have given me so many ideas to use things i already have or can easily find without spending lots of money. i am finding a sense of joy and excitement again partly because of your positive experimental techniques and encouragement! i thank you so muchly! yup, i spelled my made up word correctly! 😅😃🤭❤️
I follow a lot of junk journal TH-camrs and I have to say you are the absolute best at doing tutorials! You have samples prepared ahead of time, you are detailed in your directions, but don’t bore us with watching you glue and cut (things we already know how to do). Thank you for all of your amazing videos!
Agreed 💯 she is my inspiration I had watched her first video few years back when I was opening my mails and looked at those envelopes thinking what I can make out of it, when I was looking up on TH-cam hers was the first video and since then I am watching all her videos.
I've tried to get inspiration from other channels, but I always find myseld gravitating back to Treasure Books. Natasha, you're style and creativity are so unique that it's rare to find another channel that measures up. I have gone back and watched a lot of your older creation vidoes and I really love what it has done to my own junk journaling journey. Thank you for what you do and for not using a bunch of digitals!
I definitely fall into the category of collecting before creating. I am working through that . The way my mind processes crafts is, you must have everything in order to complete. I don't to stop in the middle of my creativity to run out to the store to purchase and then I don't feel like doing anything. Is anyone else like this? But..... I must agree with you, we don't need to collect, I feel as if i need everything in order to make it great project, and that is not true, just let it flow and create. Thank you so much for sharing your great ideas!
Natasha, you inspire me every single time I watch your videos. You flow out of a creative well that is just amazing! Love everything about your ideas and how simply they are put together. I just love you! Keep on inspiring all of us -- you are a real blessing.
Oh, Natasha I just don't know how you keep coming up wtsuch creative ideas. But I am so glad that you do because it gets my creative juices flowing. You also bring your creativity to your videos along with your humor and it just makes watching your videos so fun to watch. I can only guess at how much time you spend making new things and then filming, editing and all the rest that goes with making videos. Thank you for all you do for us.❤👏👏👏
I loved it! Especially the quilted and embossed cards, in spite of the paint sample chipping. I do have an idea for you to try...you know how you love the gold...what about applying some gold...I can't remember what it is called...gilding? rub n buff? or even just some gold acrylic rubbed over the chippy parts...I'm thinking it just might be a gorgeous addition! Thank you for the video! I watch and enjoy every single one!! Other youtubers I watch double speed but I like to watch yours regular speed...so I can enjoy it longer. :) You are my favorite. 💕
Natasha, you have rekindled my love for crafting once again. I like to consider myself a creative mind, but with my last year of high school sucking up all my time, and the overall pressure of school these past few years, that creativity has become stagnant. Your videos, though, have showed me the possibilities of just what I can do with a little paper and a little glue. When I had downtime I went to my local dollarstore and got some mod podge and found cute little blocks of patterned paper. I got home, dug out my kebab skewers, and started rolling up my beads and now I have them in a container proudly displayed. So, all I really want to say is thank you - even though it feels like a thank you doesn't suffice the extent of my gratitude! :)
My brain is exploding! So many ideas. Good to caution against collecting too many. And, I love your book. I made sure to buy it from an independent book seller. (Support local and small businesses.)
My friend works at Walmart and brought me a sack full of paint cards that the vendor was going to toss because of a change out. This video is perfect timing for those. Thanks for the great ideas for using them. Love all of your videos. I binge watch you. Lol
Thanks for this and making me realize that I’m eternally stuck in the collecting phase! Love them all but esp the trees and cake tags. Still going to paint Dept! A sure bet on color coordinates ready made! 👍❤️
So many beautiful creations, as always! I appreciate the hard work you put into recording your videos & then editing them. I know it involves a lot of thinking & keeping things straight in your mind. If you're like me, you watch & re-watch & edit some more 😄. Thank you! 💖
I absolutely love the Birthday and Christmas cards.!! I mean, they look like they came straight from Hallmark! Just more beautiful ideas from that head of yours! You are talented, don't let anyone ever try and tell you differently! 😊
This idea inspires me to use my solid color scrap paper using the same ideas because I don’t have paint chips but lots of scraps to use. Great inspiration as always.❤❤❤
Love this idea You've also prompted me to have a de-stash asap! In some areas (!) I have got stuck at the collecting stage - TY for the nudge to create something with it all or it goes!
Another brilliant idea Natasa!! I actually just cleaned up my craft room and found all my paint chips. Yay now I can use them! Also what you said about how when we first start out, we collect and hoard everything. It’s soooo true. I realized while cleaning all my stuff out that 1/2 the stuff I have is going to keep coming to me and there’s no reason to have it cluttering my space. I got rid of so much stuff, and I feel so much more creative! ❤😊
Super ideas!!! And not to use with paint chips!!! I have lots of scraps (negatives, cardstock, etc.) that could also be used. I make a lot of bookmarks and like you love to sew, I love to watercolor so I'm always looking for a way to combine both!!! Thank you for your inspiration and reminder not to amass more or hoard stuff!!! Can not be reminded enough, LOL😊
So glad you’re showing some ideas where the paint chips are clearly visible…majority of the videos I watched they are almost completely or completely covering them up 🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ Personally, in most cases, I want it known that I’m using an ACTUAL Paint Chip! I mean what’s the point of using them in the first place if you cover them all up?! Not to mention they are simply cute and the colors are so pretty! Thanks Natasha! ❤
Thank you for sharing your creative mind with us! You come up with things I would never think of! You make them within my reach, with written directions, and great explanations, and beautiful finished products. Thank you Natasha!❤
I had to comment again. I just cannot believe i read a negative comment on your page. That totally blew me away. I rarely comment on pages unless the content either moves me, or is disturbing. So to see someone negatively address your content really only tells me one thing...that jealousy o guess gets the best of us sometimes! Keep up the amazing content!
Beautiful as always wonderful suggestions! I wish I could get the book, not working makes the budget small. I'm blessed to have you on free Utube videos. I appreciate all you do for us. Huge HUGS! Namesta 🐞🐞🐞
Natasha, thank you again for another wonderful video. I watch all your videos and I have your awesome book. I don't know what I would do if it wasn't for your ideas of inspiration. Thanks for sharing your never ending creativity.👏❤
This is so fun! Love all the bright colors. Especially love the punch shapes in graduated colors! Thank you for all you do. I bought your book last year and have been binging on your tutorials. Working on my first altered book and just made an accordion book- so satisfying and fun. I’m a long time quilter, and I find sewing on paper and using fabric scraps is especially so rewarding. Thanks for sharing your fabulous ideas and more importantly, your beautiful spirit! 💕 💗 ❤️
God has truly blessed you with talent my dear . Everything you touch turns to gold ✨️ ❤ all of these turned out absolutely amazing. 💯 💕 cuteness overload !!! Tfs . Crafty hugs and blessings my dear !!!
I bought your book and almost always have it open for reference while I'm crafting. I'm looking forward to a second one with more project ideas one day! Thank you for continuing to give us inspired ideas and tutorials.

Natasa We are currently renovating our house so buying lots if paint. I was using the sample cards for that purpose and saved them. My husband assured me it would be stealing if not collected for the purpose they were meant for. 😊😊
Love it! 💕 You teach us there is know wrong way when it comes to creating our cards , books and etc. Love the paper buttons. Be safe and have a great week 💕
Wonderful ideas. I thought of something when you showed the negative of the butterflies 🦋. A belly band that sticks out as a tab..double duty strip 😊. Love all of your ideas, you're right, the possibilities are endless. Thanks for sharing 😊
Love the ideas and great advice! The collection phase was fun, but expensive too. In the end, I'm not even able to get to all my collection because there is too much lol
Natasa, I'm new to journaling. I haven't even made one yet. I'm so glad I found your videos. I just recently bought your book, and I absolutely Love it! You inspire me with all your lovely journals and beautiful items you make. Thank you so much.... Barb from Missouri.
