this is an insult to ducati 1098 coz the 600 is just tailing it. no matter how you modify the 600, you will have a limit to the power developed and a big difference to 1098. That is if ever still stock 1098.
i'm not a racer but would love to race them two. from watching the vidz, theres lots of straights that favors a v-twin but its all up to the rider. hope to see u guys here in one of our trackdays here in CALI. just a suggestion u guys should attend CA superbike school or doug polen school. it helps.
Actually Maico Buncio was racing in AMA 2008 here in Cali Speedway but he's not the only filipino racer...I'm not sure if you guys know Ryan Regalado...Ryan out raced Maico..both of them have Yamaha R6..but none of the two finished on the top 10...Maico is good...but he needs to adapt with the tracks here in the U.S. in order to compete with AMA racers...If any of you guys do trackdays here in Cali....I'm usually @ Big Willow, Streets of Willow, Buttonwillow, & Pahrump..& Pinoy rin ako =)
This guy's are brave, a very dangerous track with no run off. Track is too narrow and lots of tight turns that surely would favor the 600 more than the liter bikes.

wrong, in a straight line, the 1000cc always gets a stronger pull than r6, throttle both in 1st to 3rd gear both machine and 1000 cc is way faster. Maico is a great rider 600cc or 1000cc, thats why he can catch up that easily.

a liter bike like the ducati 1098 cant be rev on short courses/tracks while a 600cc bike can scream and bring out its full potential due to its fewer engine displacement. i own a r6 and a r1 but i prefer the r6 when im going around town. imagine controling a liter bike with like 200cc's per gear! and a 600cc bike with a hundred cc per gear!

ang masasabi ko lang po, wala sa motor yan; in an actual road incounter, kahit crypton s lang gamit ko. . many times iniiwan ko ang mga mas magagandang motor., lalo na kng may trafic.,. pag pili ng daan, cornering engine control at balance lang yan. hehehe...wala sa motor...kahit anong ganada ng motor pero mahina ang rider...wag nalang mag motor..comment lang po.

on a tight technical course the r6 has the advantage., rider skill plays ALOT into this race.
yamaha R6 also is a high rev bike ,, all Japanese bikes are all like that..
depends how skillful a driver is :) . you cant tell unless you try.
