Great review. Three things at the same time sounds good 👍 Graeme

Hi Graeme, I realise now I should have demonstrated charging three devices at the same time. After reading Caravantastic Dave’s comment it proves the X7 does its job 👍. Thanks for tuning in and best regards, Rob & Gail 😀

Well reviewed Rob, took the larger version away when we were off grid and it recharged two phones and my laptop. Really good 👍

Hi Dave & Helen, I’m surprised at how well they performed. The fully charged free gift screwfix power bank I used at Llanberis only gave me 10% of charge but I must admit it was sat in a draw for about four years before I decided to use it which probably didn’t do it any good 😌 . Good to know your X7 didn’t let you down off grid too 👍. Thanks very much for dropping by and all the best, Rob & Gail 😀

I can’t think of a reason why I shouldn’t buy one Rob, the small one will suit my needs, thanks for sharing 👍😁

You’re welcome Colin 👍. We’ve just returned from holiday and we’ve used the mini twice, very handy. It stays in my back pack just in case 😀. All the best, Rob & Gail

Great video Rob! I use powerbanks regularly, at gigs I’ve powered pedals, my iPad Pro 2020 with M1 and Mac book pro 2021 and they’re great! We also love caravanning & travelling in general and they’re so handy to have. I’ve never tried this brand. From seeing your video I’m very interested indeed particularly in the X7! Thanks for a great lesson 😊. Thank you for the review, very informative! 👍🏼

Thank you very much Geri 👍. You’ve a really good selection of Apple products there. I was pleasantly surprised by how well the power banks performed. Next time we are running low on power we won’t have to be selective with our video clips and that’s great news. Thanks very much for watching and commenting and all the very best to you, Rob & Gail 😀

Thank you Glyn, They’re going to prove very useful to us on our days out. No more constantly checking how much percentage we’ve got left. All the best, Rob & Gail 👍😀

Evening Rob , you did a great review on these two power banks , solar panels is something I’m thinking of getting next
    Cheers Phil

Hello there Phil and thank you for the compliment👍. We won’t be caught out again next time we’re up a mountain 😀. Solar panels is not something I’ve looked into but great for off grid and charging the leisure battery whilst in storage. It sounds like you’ve set yourself a project there. Best regards, Rob & Gail

Had a decent 20k one until I clumsily dropped it so only got a small capacity one now. Was prompted to buy one when I went on a train and nearly ran out of charge on phone that held my return ticket!
On a totally different subject yesterday I was following a caravan about the size of yours down the road from Beeley Moor to Rowsley, couldn’t believe anyone would try that!

Hi Andy, That was lucky for you on the train, the mini power bank would suit you fine. I wonder if the sat nav was to blame, you certainly wouldn’t want to take a caravan down a narrow road with hair pin bends 🫣. Thanks for tuning in and all the best, Rob & Gail 👍😀

Another good use of a small power bank is to keep a dash cam running, if it is not hard wired in. If you do this you can catch whoever it may be, that bumps your car in a car park when parked or such like saving you a fortune in repair bills. Certain power banks allow you to charge them at the same time as they are powering items, does this one allow that, which would be perfect powering a dash cam from the cigarette lighter ?

    • @robswiseways5697
      @robswiseways5697  ปีที่แล้ว

Hi Steve, That’s a really good idea with the dash cam 👍 and a good question about charging the power bank whilst it’s powering a device. I’ll try and find out for you and let you know. Thanks for tuning in and all the best, Rob & Gail 😀

    • @robswiseways5697

Hi Steve, Yes the Pilot X7 can be charged at the same time as it is charging a device. Cigarette lighter sockets are usually 12v, 20amp output so I’m not sure how that would work against the input of any power bank. Hope this helps and best regards, Rob

Can I ask if u have any dongle for WiFi when ur in your van. My daughter is autistic and some sites their WiFi isn't very good. She does use her data but I'm wondering if there's anything else that can be used by us all if we needed to. Someone gave me some details of products but they was going to cost nearly 300 which is a lot of money. When it will only get used a few months a year. Thk u

Hello Belle, We link the iPad to the personal hotspot on the iphone to browse the internet and watch a few TH-cam videos. There are quite a few videos out there where people have fitted Wi-Fi devices to their caravan or motorhome. They require a SIM card so it means paying for an extra sim. I guess this is the type of product you were given details of. It might be worth looking at extra data on your phone and switching on the personal hotspot when you’re away. You can then tether your tablet for example to the phone. Hope this helps and all the best, Rob & Gail 😀
