i just finished my putrifier and while doing the bottles i went with random techniques, found one that looked amazing, white primer base, nuln oil gloss shade. gives it an awesome empty look, can drop a color in the bottom and the flasks looks glass. i wish it had been my first random thought
Hey James, thanks for watching. :) It's one of the older PK-Pro painting handles. They're decent, though I've not tried the more recent ones. I had that one for years though. :)
No problem! :) I think white and very light greys would work. I think Ulthuan Grey, Greyseer and white would do it, maybe mixing in a spot of Dawnstone to do some darker areas, but mainly the first three. :)
Cheers, Cam! I can’t remember the name of it (cheers long covid!), but it’s an ooold one. I use the citadel ones now as they’re cheap and do the job well :)
Hey there Oskar, thanks for watching! :-). When I've finished them I paint with a gloss varnish (the Citadel one). I use it on any kind of glass or lens once finished, so marine lenses, bionic eyes, scopes, bottles, etc. Just gives them that little bit extra shine. :-)
Cheers Mortarion208, very much appreciated! :) I'd say Citadel versions would probably be Moot Green and Warpstone Glow. They're both great greens to get looking toxic and manky! :)
Awesome guide man, definitely will be using it! Also what's the thing you've got the model on because I've been looking for something like that for a while because I don't particularly wanna touch the mini incase I wipe off the paint lmao.
Thanks A Hanlon, very much appreciated. :-) The painting handle is a Pk Pro from many years ago, I'm pretty certain they have updated versions now though. I've been using a Citadel Painting Handle since they came out though, my old Pk didn't hold the miniatures as well - newer versions may well do though. They're worth checking out though, I had that one for about 10 years and it was just as good as when I bought it. :-)
Great tutorial. Come out looking awesome.
Cheers Padanfain, very much appreciated! :)
Thank you! Exactly what I was looking for- and easy to follow/ reproduce the effect, as well. Much appreciated, friend!
Thank you for the tip, gunna use the technique for my Orkz!
Thank you for sharing this, thats realy amazing and i will try it on my Putrifier.
Thanks, Rogal Dorn, very much appreciated. Well played on protecting Terra, it was a job well done! :)

Niice! I'll have to try that out! Always on the look out for easy ways to paint things! :)
I like your painting handle
Hey James, thanks for watching. :)

Thanks for the link here! What colours would you think for a blueish/transparent tint to the glass as opposed to black?
No problem! :) I think white and very light greys would work. I think

Cheers Roger and Vicki! Glad you found it useful! I love the Death Guard, so if it’s helping an army of theirs, I’m happy with that! :)

Cheers, Cam! I can’t remember the name of it (cheers long covid!), but it’s an ooold one. I use the citadel ones now as they’re cheap and do the job well :)

Darren Hudson /salute :)
where did you get such a fine paintbrush its almost like a pen
It's an Army Painter Wargamer: Character brush. I really like them, they seem sturdy enough and have a superb point! :-)
Hello, one question.
Do you use some kind of gloss varnish or a gloss shade ?
Thanks

What color did u prime with please?
Hey Hello 1814, I think it was zandri dust. Any primer will be fine though! :)
What are the citadel equivalents of the two greens of they are any? Great vid BTW!

what brand of bronze did you use on this model ?
Hi Paul, It's Vallejo Model Air Rust, washed with Citadel Agrax Earthshade. The Model Air Rust is a great paint. :)
Good vid lads

Carmen Fabrik I don't get it
Very nice review, although the gloss looks a bit thick. Just saying.
Well they are in battle, dont need a bottle shattering at any time besides when you throw it right?
