As a cat owner, personally, the whole "Dogs are the perfect animal and cats are vile creatures" schtick is getting old, I mean, yes, Dogs are good bois, but so are cats, have these directors of these movies actually SEEN what cats do? Cats, even though admittedly they have very different ways of showing it, can be extremely affectionate and loyal too All animals are great
Like I know that it's kinda a stereotype that cats and dogs don't get along and yes, some dog breeds aren't good with smaller pets, but I've owned both cats and dogs at the same time...heck the IT technician that takes care of our computers had a wolfdog, like a mix of german Sheppard and an actual frigging wild wolf, and that dog got along with his daughter's cat and never harmed it.

Also, sphinx cats are a relatively recent mutation. In all probability they would have had something akin to a desert wildcat, or maybe a tamed serval, and possibly something functionally akin to a saluki, if not a saluki. That would have been more entertaining.
Why would someone write a film where it demonizes cats and have it be set in Egypt, a place that has a history of not only loving cats but also having a cat goddess?! Not to mention all the other racism going on here that makes the 1930's Mummy film look politically correct by comparison...

@Olivia 757 Sonic wasn't "butchered", none of that stuff was even in the first Wreck-it Ralph. And yeah, I can see why Vanellope being selfish and framed as in the right would make it bad (I have similar problems with Toy Story 4), but at least in WIR2 the journey was actually enjoyable and it had a good message. Also, aside from the floss dance, all of the memes used were timeless ones such as Rickroll and Bob Ross.

I actually watched this movie today for nostalgia but didn't get some of the stuff that didn't make sense until I saw your vid, mostly since I tend to be pretty unintentionally oblivious (I'm autistic) and not knowing much of the Egyptian culture, but I do agree that the thing of cats being hated didn't make sense considering they were treated like gods back in the old ages. I overall watched it cuz I found cute the concept of puppies going on adventures (even if it didn't make sense how) but it still sucked some of the shitty offensive stuff in it
If Spooky Buddies taught us anything is that dogs should be the antagonists and not just man's friend, but here in Treasure Buddies we have cats who are Clearly misunderstood and cute creatures who are seen as the villians and dogs are the good guys.
I don't get it, why do they always antagonize cats and snakes. This is something that has gone in for too long, mainly because dogs aren't the only pets most people own. People own other kinds of pets including cats, rodents, birds, reptiles, fish, and other species too
