I am sold ! I'm buying one. The knife is designed for sensible use. Please find out what is going on with this knife on Amazon.. I checked out two of these knives one knife wanted 300.. the second night they wanted 199.. I know these knives are made in the US.. but I asked where these knives were made on Amazon and they said Japan. I believe they are selling knockoffs. Love the quality of your knives. Thanks!
I'd chisel grind the broken edge square with the edge and then to 20-25° on the left side....er....which IS the right and left of a blade? oriented spine up and pointed away?
I keep mine in the kitchen and use it about 5 times per week for tough chores like trimming fat off of ham steaks. I know it wasn't designed for that hard kitchen use but I haven't chipped or broken it yet. :-) Impressive tests, Jacob. Good information for those that don't know how good White River makes knives or are comparing XK&T knives against other brands trying to decide which to buy.
I have seen many knives fail in the kitchen! But it usually was caused by people batoning through frozen meat... Thats a real common thing btw- not even by bushcraft professionals- by regular ole folks. Lol
I just managed to get one of the natural burlap micarta, super excited to get it! Been wanting an adventure craft or a jackalope for years after watching junkward fox's video on the prototype he had of tje adventurecraft.
@@Thepreppersbunkeroutdoors that sounds like it will be fancier and have sneakier use options. Anytime soon? I will and would buy it tonight. I need a knife.
I own 3 white rivers. Custom quality, thin edges, amazing
Absolutely!
That's really impressive. I've never seen a knife take that much abuse before it broke. I'm sold on that knife, I need to get one now.
Lord willing ill have some more in stock soon, but they sell out quick!
@@Thepreppersbunkeroutdoors I can definitely see why, that's a super tough knife.

I looked at those ads... they weren't so expensive but they looked REALLY weird. 🤔
I really want one! Hopefully I'll get one in the next run.
how much for the broken one? I could use it for an air layer knife.

Can't wait to get a 2nd one to send overseas to my place ;)
Yyyeeessssss
Cut off early again. 🤦♂️ lol
Did it? That doesn't seem right.
Will you or could you ever make such a blade with black low light reflecting junk on it and more of a hand guard to prevent slippy ouch?
Well, we have non reflective coatings, and our next model, the Mutant, is a larger jackalope with guard, and small swedge :-D
