    At first i wasn’t crazy about this knife. However, as I continued to watch the video, the more I liked it! I would carry this “constantly” as you mentioned. Love it! Thanks!

      It's a wonderful little knife. I think you'd be blown away at the sharp slicey capability. I hold this knife more than most of my others and it's almost better than having a folder of your a fixed blade lover.

      @@outerlimitless Yes, this would be a great substitute for a folder or as a back-up to a folder👍🏻

    It looks like a bird and trout knife. It would probably make a great food prep knife as well.

    I purchased .
    The backpacker from white river.
    The atk knife
    The firecraft 2.5
    The exodus knife.
    All are fantastic and very high quality. Jacob should work with white river on all their knives. You can tell he designed this knife. It is very unique in a good way.

    I just purchased the Jackalope it’s fit and finish is quality for the money and is a great size for food prep and small tasks around the camp or every day carry. I did not mention the sharpness well you can shave with it that’s how sharp it comes out of the box!!!

    White river knives are outstanding, and pretty much perfect. Great company and Jacob of exodus knife is a great guy. Im going to have to get one soon, I have 3 other white rivers and they awesome. My favorite from white river is the ursus 45, which is an excellent bushcraft knife, you should check it out eric.

      I have been looking at the white rivers Ursus...I do like it. Nice practical shape and I'm glad it is a saber grind for some splitting capability.

      @@outerlimitless it feels amazing, one the best feeling knives for its size ive ever held. Although you know the draw back lol quality tools don't come cheap, but it seems like their warranty is very comparable to esee.

    IMHO White River is one of the Top 10 US fixed blades production companies. They don't get enough attention here on youtube compaires to TOPS, ESEE, Ka-Bar, Bark River...
    Great review! Keep up the great work... (Can't believe how strong you did beat on this one)

      Thanks...White River has been pretty impressive for my first look at them. I really like this little blade. I pushed it pretty far and it definitely performed. It was almost an unfair test and it took it like a champ!

    I like the knife and its compact size. I would like to see one with a compact, trim, slim sheath like an injection molded sheath that will slip easily into my front pocket that has a deep carry pocket clip making it a pocket fixed blade that is unobtrusive and unnoticed.

    • @outerlimitless
      @outerlimitless  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      A pocket carry would be a very good way to carry this blade. simple and effective, low key.

  • @jonnyboat2
    @jonnyboat2 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Eric, the small tfk17 you showed next to the adventure craft knife would be a perfect edc pocket fixed blade. I’d suggest, and you may already offer this, including a sheath with a pocket clip for deep pocket carry. It’d be perfect for an edc pocket fixed blade. Your small tfk17 is sweet. I’d like a price on the one shown.

    Good review/video. I agree It is important to Have a Big Knife is good But finding balance requires a smaller blade as well.

      Yes, I have definitely turned into the 2 blade type...I enjoy a large knife, but a smaller blade is so useful and keeps it safe.

    This is my new EDC knife because it is so lightweight and slim. I've attached an UltiClip to the sheath for front pocket carry. The knife is small, so it has limits, but ease of carry is one of its top strengths.

    Like everything you did here could have also been done with a hatchet. Then use your knife for eating like it is intended. 20 dollar hatchet is easily replaced. 200 dollar knife .... Not so much.

      A dedicated/specialized tool will always work better, than an allrounder or lightweight one.
      But I would suggest you use a fork for eating 😉.

    But I would not baton anything. Not even my Benchmade bushcrafter and it is huge. Just break the sticks with your arms. I have never had to baton anything ever and I cook outside a lot with wood I found. Plus just carry a hatchet for bullshit tasks so you don't destroy your blades. Hatchet cost 20 bucks and you can beat on shit all day with zero concern. Then use your knife for cutting steak like it is designed for.

  • @richardhenry1969
    @richardhenry1969 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I don’t understand how any company could ask $185 for a fancy steak knife. Because when it’s said and done it’s a thick steak knife. Plus something that thin I really don’t see the usefulness but I’m a user not a collector type.

    • @outerlimitless
      @outerlimitless  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Sounds like it's not the knife for you then. But if you want unique style, compact edc and general camp performance, WRKT quality, and a prefect carry sheath then maybe it's worth it. Plus you're only looking at the DLC coated pricing which adds additional cost. But hey, to each their own!
