Cube is actually one of the worst companies. One of my trainee friend left the company in like 2018 when she was removed from the debut lineup of a group after all the racial comments and mental and physical abuse she had to suffer there.

jiyoon from weekly was NOT kicked. she decided to leave. as far as i remember she had been going through struggles with anxiety ever since after school era (2 comebacks before weekly's last release "ven para") and the reason she left was bc after talks between her, the company staff and the doctors that were treating her, it was decided that it was better if she left, she was not just kicked like that, even when she went into hiatus for their latest comeback ist released a statement about her condition and asked for comprehension.

all these companies are terrifying not to mention i submitted a audition email to IST lol, but i would have said in my opinion MLD momoland's old company isn't good not as bad as these but did terrible in protecting momoland from people online and such, not to mention they were over worked in there peak era. Also not to mention they literally kicked out three members in the groups prime leading to their downfall and leading to lawsuits
Cube has gotten really bad. Like I started listening to K-Pop in November of 2009 and 4MINUTE was one of the first 3 groups I listened to. But around 2013, I noticed they really started to mistreat them, especially like using Brave Brothers (who isn’t bad, but I noticed back then he did music for nugu groups from a small companies, not decently established groups). Then they would postpone putting albums on iTunes, which was bad, because that’s how many K-Pop girl groups make their money. CLC got it just as bad, even their songs taking a year to get on iTunes when G-idle got all their songs on there at the time of release. And today, they really promote G-idle, who are having another album coming out while Lightsum hasn’t had one in over a year, and down two original members. They used to be like up and coming, like BigHit, but when they changed management, which I think may have happened back in 2013/2014, they definitely went downhill. It’s messed up and they definitely sabotage their groups, despite having the means to promote them right.

As a deobi, I know how much upset we fans were when IST didn't promote THE BOYZ at all. Then we mass mailed them and mass tagged them on all the social platforms expressing our concerns on the issue and now the company promotes them in the way they deserve and also invest in their group's comback properly. By investment i not only mean money but also the ideas and creativity. They even had showcase for their recent comeback. Ig IST came into its senses lol Edit : I take my words back! IST is the shittiest company ever!! They are again back to the bad era. Not promoting their artist well! Tbh at this point they are sabotaging their own group!!

I have a genuine question: what companies accept older trainees? (And treats them decently) Like... say before 2003. Bc all of these take mostly young trainees and it's scary to think they get to shape the mindsets of such young ppl at that vulnerable age. Most aren't legal adults but have to face this kind of behaviour from their companies.
A lot of small companies do and some big ones too (excluding hybe probably) I think they should take trainees who are over 18 so they can't manipulate them. I hope you pass if you're planning to audition. Best of luck!

I saw in JYP application that above 14 we should give the audition
But in Korean age we should be one year older
That means I am 14 in Korean age ?
Can I give the audition and if I can what should I fill in the application if they ask my age 13 or 14?
