I wasted my whole day searchng for a properTCA cycle vdo and thats here you are. Damn your vdos are extremly Amazing...How can you be so perfect...i mean HOW??? Your words are so cardiogenic like it directly got poured onto my heart and i learnd all the steps with all my heart. Loads and loads of Love❤
I'm extremely surprised that you don't have a larger following. Keep up the amazing work. For some reason everything "clicks" in my mind when you explain various topics. I think we may think alike! Other tutorials do a great job too but they don't ask enough of the "why's" or go down to the elementary notions that are foundation to understanding complex topics. For my style of learning, you are MUCH better than even Khan Academy. Keep doing what you do, all of your lectures have helped tremendously with me studying for the MCAT :)
I feel the same! He is much more focused than Khan academy and does not assume that his audience are all experts in the topic. He goes through the basics just in case we did not learn/forgot it and relate it back to the big picture.. awesome!
I think it is over the heads of most people as it is with me. I'm not a biochemist, my Chemistry was never as good as I wish it was but I do find this fascinating and I'm learning.
@@radio146 Quite to the contrary, Khan Academy is very simple and entry level stuff. They can only help me at the beginning. Their courses go from elementary school to High School, with some 1st year UNI stuff.
@@radio146 I just watched the Khan video on the Citric acid cycle and it didn't even explain the steps. It just told everything around it. So the video was extremely basic, but a good introduction I think. This goes more into detail, and I appreciate that he explained where which atoms go because that helps me understand better. I've tried to figure that out myself, but some thing I just didn't understand.
My Biochemistry teachers have no idea of what metabolism is, still they want us students to learn all the pathways for the exam. I will never thank you enough for your videos and the help you gave me!! Keep doing your great work! Many students around the world need you!
you are the best lecturer I have ever had. I am studying biomedical science, you are better than all of my profs tbh. I am grateful. Thank you so much. I wish your channel get to be known to many students like me. you are wonderful at explaining difficult concepts and make them so organized that everyone can understand. Thank you!
Ever since I discovered your lecture videos you have become my number one 'go-to-guy' for all my Biochemistry anything, I love your work so far so please keep making these videos coz you are brilliant, thorough & outstanding, I'm smiling as I'm typing this - you are the man 👊🏿😁
Your videos are awesome!!! I really liked the way you explain. I ended up watching your videos for 6 hours straight for my molecular biology test. Thank you!
Love your lectures! I always find glycolysis, gluconeogenesis, oxidative decarboxylation and kreb's cycle complicated but you explain them really well. I am studying medical biosciences (currently in my fresher year) and I am going to sit for my first written exam for a biochem module in 5 days time. I went through all the relevant videos and this is the first time I really understand these processes. I was so stressed studying these until I found you! You're such a life saverrrrrr! Thank you so much!
This video makes me wonder what I would do without youtube and people like you showing these videos, biochem would have been way too hard. Thanks for the video👍🏽👍🏽
I just don't know why I can't have you as my great and awesome lecturer forever, I will say it again and again "You will be forever remain blessed" thanks so much SIR for your help and support, CHEER'S MAN!
OMG I know this phrase is overused, but I love you for the work you're doing. Thank you so much. This video is a great overview and it helps to put everything together. I'm watching this before my midterm to reduce anxiety:)
l have never understood the citric acid cycle until today after watching this video ,would really pass my subjects with flying colors if he was my lecturer.......thanx a lot !!!!!
I am extremely grateful to you for TEACHING me biochemistry. your explanations are excellent and the illustrations are clear. A big thank you. God bless you
Today I was told we had to memorize the whole citric acid cycle and know how to draw every single structure for my final exam in 2 days. Thank you because I was genuinely confused when my professor was explaining it.
I would be really ashamed if I was a professor and I came across this channel. Also makes you wonder why college is more expensive now than it ever was. You people need to step the fuck up, students are going into lifelong debt to learn from you. At least be a decent educator. Nobody cares about your research.
you do some pretty good lectures! i wondered why did you start making videos? :) i've found some of these very helpful in my understanding during my last year of biomedical science. so thanks again and please keep it up!
Literally saved my ass so much with your videos. Thank you so much! I thought I’d never be able to pass classes like Biochem, yet I have a B because of your videos! Thank you!!
I love you more than I love my boyfriend , if you were with me , I would have become the next Indian scientist to discover a whole of new biochemistry ,why am I telling all this... .? because your AMAZING ....... your super duper TALENTED...... your have this fantastic skill of TEACHING, I'm a MASTERS IN BIOCHEMISTRY today is because my UTube was all loaded with your tutorials.. hope to see you personally in the future, this channel is the best teaching channel I have ever come across... lots of love from INDIA , please keep making more lecture videos....
Thanks sir. Am from Kenya and I admired your lectures. They helped me a lot. can I get Microbiology lectures especially Parisatology, Virology and Bacteriology? Thanks
Hi thank you for the great video, I have a question: Whats the trick that animals use to overcome the irreversibility of oxidative decarboxylation rxn?
I think there is an error, because only one water molecule should be produced. Because 2 water molecules are used, one in hydrolysis for formation of citryl-coa, and one for the hydration of fumarate. So, since two water molecule of the three are used (the third is the one in step 2), only one is produced in net reaction.
I thought the rate limiting step was the conversion of a-ketoglutarate to Succinyl CoA, not the formation of a-ketoglutarate from isocitrate. You mentioned the latter at 6:54. Can you explain this please?
hi love your videos watched almost all of them. but just a Q. is it not that some of the stages reversible? I think that only 3 are irriversible... or have I learnd it wrong?

i ended up watching ur lectures from 6am-6pm.very very interesting and sweet.thank you so much.im realy streesed over biochem.
How did the exam turn out? I have biochem on Tuesday (today is Sunday) and I feel like I don't know the most important things... :(
@@solar0wind how'd yours turn out 😂. We're all years behind in replies lol.
I just don't know why I can't have you as my great and awesome lecturer forever, I will say it again and again "You will be forever remain blessed" thanks so much SIR for your help and support, CHEER'S MAN!
I have watched many videos explaining the citric acid cycle but you did it better than any I have seen. Thank you!
I loved it tomorrow is my exam and i will rock it only because of you. Thanks for such videos, really helpful.
This is the best video for an overview of Krebs cycle I have seen so far!!! Brilliant work!!!!
I just want to say that you are an amazing teacher, I appreciate your videos so much! They have helped me understand biochem tremendously
It was the best explanation about the kreb cycle, thanks for clearing most of my confusions by such an amazing and detailed explanation
There's The best lectures about a lot of difficult themes.
Thank you so much, good luck!
Your videos are exactly what's written on my reference book. Thank you so muuuuuch
Good stuff, wish we had lecturers like u
*Hey you. Yes you. random person that I will never meet. I truly hope that you will find happiness in life. Today is going to be a great day ; )*

Wow. No one could teach it better. Loved the explanation. Keep going AK!!! Cheers!😍
Very complete lecture, thank you!! I dont think i've found a better video than this!!!
I'm Pretty sure your videos are about to save my Organic chem grade.. Thank you soooooo much.
is it organic or more of biochemistry or biology
best TCA cycle video on the net
I am extremely grateful to you for TEACHING me biochemistry. your explanations are excellent and the illustrations are clear. A big thank you. God bless you
best biochemistry teacher ever!
Today I was told we had to memorize the whole citric acid cycle and know how to draw every single structure for my final exam in 2 days. Thank you because I was genuinely confused when my professor was explaining it.
Thank you! You brought the joy back to my biochem studies. These lectures are so well and clearly made. Just perfect!
It's amazing that college professors are held to such low standards. Its really starting to show with great channels like this one.
I would be really ashamed if I was a professor and I came across this channel. Also makes you wonder why college is more expensive now than it ever was. You people need to step the fuck up, students are going into lifelong debt to learn from you. At least be a decent educator. Nobody cares about your research.
love you boss...I just might get through my carbometa exam for you
One of the best Krebs cycle video with detailed explanation :)
Awesome job with this video! I'm prepping for a test tomorrow wish me luck!
Great video!
At 15:46 did you forget the last H+ generated in step 8 from the reduction of NAD+?
Yes. 3 x H+ in total. Otherwise the equation in the box bottom right doesn't balance. Honest oversight. Otherwise, first rate lecture. Bravo!
You're an amazing tutor. I love your videos.
you do some pretty good lectures! i wondered why did you start making videos? :) i've found some of these very helpful in my understanding during my last year of biomedical science. so thanks again and please keep it up!
This is very helpful for me. AK lectures, am following you.
Literally saved my ass so much with your videos. Thank you so much! I thought I’d never be able to pass classes like Biochem, yet I have a B because of your videos! Thank you!!
Wow, even you have a hard time explaining this thing to the end. And still a perfect job...
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I love the way you teach:)
thanku sir ..best teacher i have ever seen .your lecturers are esy to undestand ..😊😊😊
the best picture I have ever seen of kreb cycle 😊😊
Wow!! Just wow! This lecture is fantastic!
Awesome work. You explain very logically and clearly
You are doing lord's work. Thank you so much!
Dude I'm watching this with my lecture notes and lightbulb after lightbulb. How have I not found this guy before?
You're a good lecturer
yOU ARE A GIFT FROM HEAVEN
amazing teaching level...impressing
Thank you for explaining in a very simple language ☺️
Great video! But there is a mistake. For the final net equation, there are 3 H+ being produced instead of what you have on the board "2 H+"
Ur explanation is really good tnkyu sir 👏
Besssssssttt video for this topic.. Amazing explanation 👍👍👍
Excellent explanation
Perfect!!! Thank you verrrry much it is the best explain for TCA 🙏🏻👍🏻💛💛💛

Dept of biochemistry
thanx a lot AK... never would have understood this clear if it wasn't u
Shouldn't there be 3H+ in the final reaction since 1H+ is formed from everytime NAD+ is reduced, which happens 3 times?
very fine lectures.... ak... live long... thank u vm...
thanks!
your lectures are really awesome !!!!!
Wow just wow how did you keep track of what u have to say in a 16 mins video, you saved my ib HL BIO!!
Not all heroes wear caps LOL
Life saver. Thank you so much.
Thank you! I have an easier time understanding the Kreb cycle now! :)
amazing lecture❤
You explained very well...👍👍👍
Nice method to teach us
keep it up doing a great job your lectures are really help full thank u so much for giving the details

Very easy lecture
not me thinking TCA cycle meant 'The Citric Acid' cycle before this video LOL
Thank you!!! I now understand this!
Really , i like your videos , you will have a great future
ahmed alashqar thank you :)
super....... it's simple to understand
Why is there only 2H+ in the net equation if we have 3 NADH? :/, Thank you! you're great
aldol condensation and HYDROLYSIS*** for the first reaction catalyzed by Citrate Synthase (atleast that's what you said in step1, 2 videos ago) right?
Perfect !!
