Thanks for sharing your experience. Trying to gather as much info as I can before i jump brands. Question: what is causing the light to flicker behind your head in your Aroll shot? Cannot be fixed in the camera settings?
No worries! What do you shoot on now? And the flicker is coming from the bulb in my lamp. It’s one of the LG bulbs and they flicker a ton when dimmed but I didn’t notice until I started editing hahaha But Yeah you can fix it in the camera settings
Well done! I went from GH2 all the way to GH5. Then switched to S5. Now I want to sell that and go to GH7 plus the 10-25mm and 25-50mm f/1.7 zooms. One BIG reason nobody talks about is external time code through the flash sync port. None of the S5 cameras have that.
Old habits die hard hahaha you’d love the GH7 since you’re used to that system! That sounds like a great combo with those lenses! And man, you’re so right! I completely forgot to add that into the video!
regarding 32 bit float audio , it will absolutely raise the noise floor if your gain is too low , it also depends on the microphone , some have better SNR then others . also the microphone still has physical and electronic limitations as to how much you can push its gain , so even with 32 bit float audio you should set your gain correctly and just don't worry about peaking and distortion but don't go nuts with the setting ..
Yes true but the digital gain applied in post does not introduce any of noise. It's just raising the level of noise that already exists from improper analog gain stage, bad mic placement poor quality cheap ass mics and general ambient noise. In other words - the noise is already there so we still need to know what the hell we are doing. I believe future audio capture devices will be totally idiot proof with no controls or metering at all thanks to 32 bit technology.
Did you used any film grain in your video? Im GH7 user. Switched from GH6. The noise levels on the GH7 are terrible. Look at the wall in 1:45. This is what I am dealing with in almost every clip from my last trip. I have not experienced anything like that on GH6.
I have the gh5 ... and I was determined to go full frame with S5ii cause it costs 1600 where im at... and now this one appears... should I spend the extra 200? gh7 vs s5ii which one?
Nobody knows about this but the majority of the sounds are from a sound effect pack I’ve been working on man 👀 should be releasing in a couple of weeks For some of the filler sounds I’d say around 2 hours to find the perfect one but like a day or two for final sound design. Maybe like 8-16 hours depending
I shoot 4k open gate 50fps exclusively with my gh5 and i bought gh7 recently. What can i say? Lumix REMOVED 4k50 in open gate! There really is no 4.3 open gate mode in 4k at all. There is 5.8 k open gate but 25/30 fps only so i lose slowmo. I am very angry about my expensive downgrade with my gh7. And no the cropped in 4k50 pixel by pixel mode in 4.3 is not an option. Its not open gate and its cropped in by a lot and wide angle lenses are not wide anymore it does not use the full sensor. What was lumix thinking?
Upgraded from GH5 and I'm amazed. GH5 built my career here in my country. I have a huge volume of work (commercials and socials) and Im just blown away from the GH7 . Its a powerhouse

@@cesarlorca_ Good to know. Right now I'm canon but now that Panasonic fixed their AF it's tempting me.

That's so great!!!From the first time I watched your video, it felt like I was watching a movie again!!!! Awesome!
Yes!!! Mission accomplished! Hahah thank you for being here!
Such great content. I'm excited for this camera! I love seeing m4/3 getting some good stuff.
Thank you John! They did a great job on this camera

The Gh6 has a streaking problem on low light scenarios... did they fixed that with GH7?
I didn’t notice any!

I honestly recommend going with the Metabones speed booster. The .64 XL ef to m43 adapter does a world of wonders! I used the pocket 4K
What lens did you used to that video?
I used the LUMIX 10-25 f1.7!

What service do you use for SFX and how long does it take to search them and edit? (I mean separately nn:nn for searching + nn:nn for editing).

@@cesarlorca_ I'll be waiting for the release. SFX is what I pay attention to in your video first of all.
I appreciate that man! Sound design is alot of people overlook so it’s nice to see you care about it 😭

I love to hear how many people started their career with the GH5! That thing is amazing and the gh7 is definitely the upgrade it deserves
