I was born in Rome and have lived here for more than 40 years. Despite this, I had goose bumps every time you showed me its artistic and architectural wonders (which I know perfectly well!) ... it was beautiful to see the wonder in your eyes, because we Romans, too, never get used to the splendour we are lucky enough to have around us :)
Wow, I got very moved by your words! I’m honored you felt that way watching it. And I can only agree, you sure are lucky to live there. A truly magnificent place! Thank you.
If you don't ask for the bill, you'll wait eternally 😅 In Italy, it's considered rude to bring it to clients who didn't ask for it. They don't want to pressure you to leave.
In Rome time has a different flow and meaning (don't forget you are in the Eternal City). Just drink your spritz, watch people from the world strolling around, enjoy the "dolce far niente" and forget time 😊
I am so glad you enjoyed our city. She's been here for almost 3000 years, I'm sure she'll wait for you to return for a little while longer. It's nice when tourists are respectful like you are. Rome will always welcome you back! "L'elementare" is an amazing pizzeria, and "Che siete venuti a fa" are some of the places I visit when I am in the center :) Two sizes has amazing tiramisu indeed ;)
I would be the exact same with those Vatican stairs! My husband and I went to the Statue of Liberty and got tickets to go to the crown area/observation. As soon as we started experiencing the tight stairs, I turned around (luckily nobody was behind me). I waited for husband at the bottom!
@@fabrizio.guidi64 Haha I spent a lot of the time walking around. But yes, a big part of traveling for me is to try out the food. Thank you for your comment! ☺️

@@adofonconi9753 that’s probably true, it was a lot of tourists and you can probably have a similar experience for less money. But with that said I really enjoyed it!
