Hi, was taking the day trips to Kyoto easy? Or was there a lot of walking and train transfers?
Hi! I thought it was pretty easy yes, we took the Shinkansen bullet train from Shin-Osaka to Kyoto. From there you can take connecting trains/buses, for example to the JR Inari Station (when visiting Fushimi Inari Shrine). I can recommend the JapanTravel app, and of course Google maps.

Red borscht warms you up, puts you on your feet and is healthy, also good for a hangover. I saw that you ate Cheesecake, a specialty of Poski. Tourists often eat dumplings with various fillings, sour soup, bigos, pork chop, and I for a change; try to order chicken liver with onion, which will be salted after serving, because salted becomes hard before frying, or order a roasted duck.
I loved the borscht and cheesecake! I would like to try this chicken liver you speak of :)

Paxos trip is not worth it as you don’t get to go on the beaches and the town is expensive and not as nice as Parga in my opinion

I'll tell you this, when visiting restaurants you say that the place must be popular with the locals -No- Poles don't eat out much. In the tradition of Poles, meals are eaten at home and when there is a lot of traffic in the restaurant, tourists and foreigners certainly do. I assure you that what impresses you in a restaurant, Poles do at home and it is much better than in a restaurant.😃
I don't doubt that one bit, it's hard to beat home made meals :)

I went to York a few years ago. I stayed for a week and didn't want to leave. Thank you for sharing your York experience. The Shambles, the shops, the Viking experience, the Roman baths under the pub, I could go on and on.

Poles still hate Russians as they pretty much destroyed the country. The Katyn massacre site was also planned to be a site for exterminating Finnish intelligentsia but that plan didn't work out....
