Thanks Jeff. Just bought a set and was looking for the manufacturers suggested method for the knockout. I've seen a couple of hack jobs out there and knew that there was a better way.
Awesome! Just ordered the exact same color and everything as the video and was second guessing my decision. But of course the guy whose name is on the product is here addressing my exact concern. Looking forward to riding with these!
Coming from mountain bikes I fell in love with ODI grips, going to moto I wanted to fit bar-end indicators and couldn't find open-ended ODIs anywhere, Googled on how to drill them out and this came up! Absolutely awesome design! Is this applicable to any of the MTB grips too?
This lovely design ‘upgrade’ has made them even harder to remove, why can’t they just come in both end caps and none end caps, tbh it’ll save home some money as I’ve just binned my lovely alloy end caps…after a serious hack job…sort it out guys…less is more !
I trimmed the throttle end sloppily after removing the cap and did not realize that there was still a little room to move the ignition and kill switch to properly not have the grip end rubbing the bar. There is a slight gap between the throttle tube and the handlebar, should I still be fine?
Probably should have watched this before the hacksaw came out. My end were all chewed up so didn't really matter. Thanks, this will help for my new set!
This doesn’t work on the ones that I just bought,Emig pro’s…it has a metal cap on the end,I would have thought you’d sorted this out by now,it’s gonna be a hack job again, why don’t you just make them for wraparounds as well ?! I’m not happy £25,and I’m having to hack and cut/risk personal injury…sort it out Jeff.
Sweet! This was the only thing stopping me from going to lock on grips. Thanks Jeff!
You have no idea how useful this information is. This just saved me from making a mess of my odi grips on my gasgas.

Very insightful, exactly what I am trying to do. Thanks!
How do we do this on the V2 Pro grips with the alloy end caps, there is no V channel to cut around
i ended up drilling mine and removing the remaining metallic ring with pliers after heating the glue up. Was messy process.
Thank you for the geven tips! Made the install so much easier
Nice!! Helpful for sure.

Just tested and yes it also works on the MTB grips
Must be me but I can never ever get a clean knockout like Jeff shows… must be Jedi tricks
Any recommendation for knocking out the alloy reinforced end caps

Works for the billet ones?

Thank god i saw this before mine arrived :D Other videos they just grind them off.
Epic. Just watched a vid saying you can’t!
mine wouldn't slide on I took a rubber mallet to try and push it on and it shattered the cheap plastic.
