I dont like that so many cars have capacitive touch buttons and not physical, but i like this. When Kia first came out with the Stinger, they had my attention. But with EVs, Hyundai/Kia has some really cool cars now.
I agree, it’s a hassle, but at least they were sensible enough to keep the climate control as physical buttons as that’s the most important, most of your other on screen actions can be managed via steering wheel buttons which is easily done whilst driving.

For example the car is around £475-£500 a month you would be paying more for a standard petrol/diesel car coming in around £380 plus around £220 for fuel. Electric doesn’t cost as much to charge. Bought a fully loaded Niro Ev for a reasonable price, done 24k trouble free km so far. Its a great car, super easy to drive and everything just intuitively works as I expect it to work. My wife is now looking into getting the EV3.

Since KIA introduced the K5, Telluride and EV6 something has changed. People are now looking at KIA for design. Now with the release of the K4, redesigned Sportage and Sorento KIA is killing it. EV3 will replace the Soul and no doubt will be a great seller. Design wise, KIA is killing the competition, even its big sister, Hyundai. Toyota, Honda, ect are now playing catch up with designing appealing vehicles.

Evs are not practical not the way you think of Charging BS but interns of daily driver things like Door handles, Temperature Controls hidden in Screens, Complex things etc Just make a car which has batteries Not gimmicks
EV6 is a bargain to buy used. Really silent inside, great steering as it is so heavy, also pretty modern interior. Facelift might be even better. GT model new is ridiculously expensive for Kia.
Kias for the last 10 years at least especially the diesel ones are absolute tanks, we have two diesel pool cars that are used for shuttles to start locations in our industry so they go Manchester-London-Manchester daily and sometimes twice and they are abused by the drivers as we all know if it not yours you drive it like you stole it, apart from brakes, oil changes and timing gear at intervals along with tyres they have needed nothing else in 200k miles and 7 years
I have a 2023 Kia Sorento (underrated in my opinion) but had a chance to use a Kia "Soul" EV when it was in for servicing - think it was a 2018 one. It felt like what you'd expect a cheap Kia to feel like inside...cheap plastics etc. Quiet and decent ride but that's it. Hopefully the EV3 doesn't feel like that inside because it wasn't nice...judging from this video though it does look like the Soul in a lot of ways.

It’s because the buttons aren’t capacitive but haptic. The press is only registered when the finger lifts of the button. Still not as fast as pressing a touch screen but this feels better and is only slightly slower
kia and hyundai have been playing it strong last few years, as an ioniq 5 owner i couldnt be happier... well unless i had the N... then i could be happier. but yeh, they are really pushing the standards higher at reasonable prices, its good to see. isn't it nice to feel like lower end brands are starting to pump out cars that seem like they finally belong in 2024 along with the big brands.

Kia is supposed to be the affordable car. You can get a gas Subaru Crosstrek for $26,000 why pay more for a more inconvenient car from a brand known for lower quality budget cars? That's probably not even awd at its base model as well.
I don't like the exterior. The EV9 GT-line looks good. The EV6 looked good until the face lift for '25. The EV5 looks decent but these two newest arrivals- EV3 and EV4 . . . Gotta pass.
So besides the shape, how does this differ from the EV6? It looks about the same size. Range can’t be much different as the EV6 range isn’t exactly amazing. So If this is to be a ‘cheaper’ electric car aren’t they just going to be stealing their own EV6 sales?
Battery charging on DC is far too low!!! If this car had the same DC charging as EV6 or EV9, then I would consider changing T3 for this one but only due to better price point. So still, there is no Tesla killer:)
When will the SUV pandemic end, I’m just so tired of it. There won’t be any interesting used cars in the future I guess (I’m never buying a brand new car)
