Hi Robin - I enjoyed sitting here in my recliner wrapped up in a throw watching you work. I laughed when you said you were being ruthless in decluttering. By daughter calls it being brutal. HA! I’m glad to know about roasting the seeds in the squash. My granddaughter who is in college has a kitchen on the first floor of her dorm. This year she carved a pumpkin in that kitchen and roasted the pumpkins seeds. She said they were good but she was worried while doing it because the students are charged $150 if they set off the smoke alarm. Ha! We are all so excited that she will be home this Friday for a whole week. I am so thankful to have a Christian woman to watch on utube that shows us how to care for our homes and families. I think its especially important for your younger subscribers. We can be whiners or worshipers. You show all of us how to do our work with joy and as unto the Lord. Blessings to you sweet Robin.

We certainly develop that decision making/decluttering muscle the more that we declutter. I had to get rid of my round storage bowls for the same reason - those cracking lids and replaced them with rectangular ones. When nesting glass containers, I like to use the felt flowers manufactured for nesting frying pans. It's much easier to separate the containers, makes putting them away easier and quieter, and eliminates those small chips on the edges and rims. (Lakeside sells a set of 15 for about $9.00, or you can cut your own from felt squares)

I have been trying to find a butternut squash recipe that I actually like! the one that you did is so simple! I know that I would love it in soups, altho, my husband and myself are not huge soup eaters! I loved your advise on decluttering your clothes. I have containers at home with those types of lids. I love the containers but the underneath part of the lids collect so much water and don't dry real well with a dish towel. I always end up putting them away with some water still rolling around lol.

I have those glass containers you showed at the beginning of your video from oxo. DONT put the lids in the dishwasher! After I did that mine never sealed properly and bow up in the center. I would hand wash them only.!!!! Just wanted you to know what happened to mine.

When I roast seeds I presoak them in salted water. You can sprinkle with salt when they are still hot if you want that extra salty taste but no need.
