Purchased 41mm anthracite few months ago and this watch is fire. Great for most occasions like office, vacation, date, tennis match. Im not a fan of polished watches but this one convinced me. The jubilee bracelet is stunning in light and the most comfortable from all watches I have. I have a bunch of cool divers but I tend to wear this when I go out. Pure class

Bought the 39 in anthracite as my first ever luxury watch a few months ago! It actually started to get a little "boring" after having it and only it, but weirdly got a lot more appreciation for it after picking up my second luxury watch, a much more show off-y omega worldtimer and I feel like the two complement each other so well. My BB39 feels more and more like the king of fill-in-the-gaps watches and I'm still convinced I'll never sell it

I have a black bay 41 anthracite and absolutely love it. It has a different movement than talked about here, from the black bay bronze, MT5601. I think it’s pretty much perfect. Especially for the price point. The polish is so nice and the 5 link bracelet wears perfectly.

The updates are pretty nice, but I think I’m in the minority in that I still prefer the old models. I’ve owned the black dial bb36 for a year and absolutely love it. The inky black dial, oyster-style bracelet, 150m water resistance, and overall tool watch aesthetic are just awesome. Having said that, Tudor made some good updates and I’m glad they’re at least paying attention to this line. Either way, still a very underrated model that deserves more attention.

    • @DucNguyen1412

Well, I think I'm in the same minority group as you. I prefer the old design to this new one. I love the hight contrast matte black dial and the oyster-style bracelet, not a fan of the new sunburst. The new one looks like a dress watch, not a tool watch as the old one.

BB goes mainstream. The new version is a complete different watch. Other movement, sunburst dial, lollipop second hand, tiny crown, rounded DD-like case lines, different strap & clasp. It`s like the look of an original Mini and the other car of BMW. Woke up just in time and was lucky to get one of the last new previous ones yesterday. Greets to all (and ty for great videos Teddy)!

Tried on the bb54, pelagos 39 and bb36 back to back. Was underwhelmed by the bb54. The pelagos was nice, but wasn't keen on what titanium looks like in the flesh + the clasp was a bit longer than on the other 2 watches. The bb36 blew me away. The sunburst blue dial waa stunning and the bracelet is beautiful and comfortable. Wears really well on a small wrist too due to the smaller lug to lug. Certainly my pick of the bunch and a step up from the previous version.

This entire range is truly fantastic. I do love the previous version a little bit more with the more versatile oyster-style bracelet, smiley dial text, snowflake seconds hand, quirky crown tube and low long-term maintenance costs. I'm biased of course, as I have that previous BB36 in black and it's my go-to GADA despite other more "special" watches. Chronometer spec doesn't mean all that much as well when the previous one is well-regulated by Tudor to well within cosc and the shorter power reserve also doesn't mean that much if you either wear it very often, or only occasionally within a sizeable rotation. I do however like the magnetic resistance, the blue sunburst dial, T-fit clasp and curvier case sides of this new one. Maybe one day if they provide an oyster bracelet as an option, I might spring for this new generation. Because despite the differences in the details, this is just a fantastic range, period.

While waiting for the local AD to get one in (they still haven't) I bought a San Martin "homage" to see if I could live with the design. I can, but I don't like it enough to invest 1000s in the Tudor. If I didn't have a DJ41 in bright blue, this would be a perfect replacement. Instead I bought a BB GMT Opaline this summer. Stunning and almost as accurate as my Rolexes.

This is my next watch that I would like to own, I have a 6.5 inch wrist and compared to an Oyster Perpetual is has just as much presence with all the feature’s I would want compared to the oyster perpetual. It’s a stunning watch.

Just got a previous version bb36 with the blue dial and it is drop dead gorgeous and as sturdy as anything. The only improvement I see in this new model is the crown and maybe the clasp, the other changes are mostly a downside for me. Less of a daily toolwatch and more of a luxury watch now.

I've had the bb36 blue dial for nearly 2 years now and still love it - if you want to add some adjustment to the clasp, you can buy an extendable link from Steel Reef and it's amazing - I got the idea from Adrian Barker who uses it on his Explorer 1. Completely transforms the watch - adds that versatility that it's lacking without the adjustable clasp

Hard to tell from video alone but the new blue looks similar in tone to the Seiko SPB197J1 which I love and own (but replaced the bracelet an Uncle Seiko Jubilee). In any case, I like it!

Terrific watch and highly underrated. The price is what makes it a harder sell than it should otherwise be. It’s not a value watch because you’re still paying for the brand. But I could get a Rolex or Omega for just a little bit more, where I’m definitely also paying for the brand. For $2-3k this would be great. But at $4k? Well I may still get one…. or just a Seiko 5 instead

  • @codycrawford471

Imo, Tudor needs to keep a clear distinction between its line up. They continue to add, alter, and redesign too often. Collectively I believe this deflates the value and deminishes the brand identity. Just my two cents.
