Nah. I think he truly appreciates Tudor, but he is a smart businessman. My guess is he’s purposely highlighting more accessible brands with widespread reach to push Wondercare.
@@ams914For sure. Seiko also threw their hat in the affordable GMT ring. Alpina and Longines also have some newer in-house GMT movements for not a ton. And of course, Mido is using the ETA C07.661 for their Calibre 80 GMT movement at under a grand as well.
I recently got the new burgundy 41mm. Really happy with it. The build is fantastic, buttery smooth winding and I like the new slimmer case size. Five link bracelet is really comfortable as well. Looking to pick up the BB 54 next.

got my 39mm with the white dial on the 3-link "Bader" bracelet watch on amzwatch 3 weeks ago and am loving it to pieces. Absolute fantastic watch that wears super comfortable on my 6.75 inch wrist. Chose the 3-link over the 5-link bracelet for the toolless quick adjustment. Way more comfortable than my Longines Hydroconquest 41 mm.

They should have put a gold case back and the new smaller crown on the BB58 Gold. Would have made it new. Right now it’s just a re-release with bracelet.
I had a Tudor BB58 black/gilt dial and a ceramic Sub at the same time. Sold the Sub and kept the Tudor. The Sub is a better watch, but I never bonded with it. I love my Tudor even more now that I've owned it for three years.

@@whodeycinbengals True, but it baffles me why someone would choose a $32,000 gold Tudor over something like a $10,000 gold Rolex Day-Date. I guess to me it doesn't seem like a gold Tudor dive watch offers that much value or prestige versus any gold Rolex.
Yeah. Perhaps a bit of brand confusion there. The Tudor may very well be a great watch, but releasing it under the Tudor name given their founding mission and usual lane is a head-scratcher.
Difference: Everyone has the gold Rolex Day-Date. But besides that... you are right in a certain way, but you cant really compare these two watches. Completely different types as one is a divers watch and the other a more dressy thing. BUT would i also go for the rolex? Yes.
@@whiskyspirit9121 As for sportier options, one can find a (vintage) Rolex GMT Master 1675 in full yellow gold at or less than $32,000. Perhaps you are right that this is a Tudor watch that is for people who already have these Rolex models and want something else from the sister brand. These people must really like Tudor! Or, maybe it's for people who simply want a gold watch who know little about watches.
2017 I went to my Jeweler in Houston to buy a Tudor but picked a Breitling instead. 2022 I went again to buy a Tudor but picked a Grand Seiko. In the next year or two I plan to go buy a Tudor…but what will I pick…. lol
I love listening to Cole , he's really knowledgeable in the Tudor lineup!! It's always funny to me how Kevin keeps mentioning: "it's less than 5000$" awwww it's basically free 😂..some people can barely pay rent 😕 I myself actually have been blessed and can afford watches that are even more expensive..but still Kevin common' man..I have been into watches for more than a decade and can tell that any of the big brands like Rolex, Tudor, Omega etc produce watches at much less than 10th of the suggested retail price.. honestly no luxury stainless steel watch is actually worth prices of 4,5 or 6 thousand dollars especially when you got Christopher Ward producing watches with better specs for less than a thousand dollars😅
😂 agree with almost all you are saying. disagree with. Christopher Ward: Yes, a good watch for the money. good value. It has marketing momentum online. But as you rightly say: most people cannot pay their rent. why would they shed out 1200 USD for a mechanical watch almost no one outside the watch circles heard of AND which definitely will not trigger the sort of emotions as an Omega Or Rolex would?
to characterize Tudor as hot whilst their secondary market values are 60% of their retail price is a bit a stretch. also, a black bay 58 is hot on the basis of its design? Not really! I like Tudor, absolutely good value for money, particularly in the secondary market where it is excellent value for money. But to build a bog mystery around it - why? It is clear why Tudor came out of the shadows in the past years: People realized because of social media that Tudor is under common control with Rolex and they automatically came to the wrong conclusion that a Tudor is a Rolex with a smaller profit margin.
