Other than the cake powder it looks great. I also think you should have mixed the soda and cake mix and poured it over it. No cake powder! Thumbs up to you Chris !👍

What a good looking desert! When I make my dump cakes, I make it with half one fruit and half another fruit in the dish container. That way I can just turn the dish around for a different desert flavor when I want something different. Thanks for such great instructions.
When I have made dump cakes in the past, I've checked on them half through the baking. If they look like there will be any dry places, I will take them out of the oven and pour water or melted butter over those areas. Then, I finish baking them. That generally fixes the problem.

I'm so happy to see you though! :-) this sounds great and I can't wait 2 make it but I use wild Maine Blueberries because I am from Maine and my freezer is full of them so I will do it like I would do a wild Maine blueberry pie filling. :-) lemon also goes very well with blueberry.

Hey.. I wanted to share this recipe w/you that I've made for yrs. Its a no fail... In a 350 oven put 3/4 stick of butter in a 8x8 pan & let melt & heat while mixing ingr. For cherry pie filling..add 1/2 tsp. of almond ext. & stir. set aside. In a bowl stir just till combined... 1 c. sugar..1 c. milk & i c. self rising flour....take hot pan from oven.. pour batter over butter..spoon cherry pie filling over top.. DO NOT STIR.. Bake 45-55 min.. Its the most awesome cobbler ever !! If using peaches.. add cinnamon & nutmeg..heat the juice & thicken just a lil w/cornstarch... I hope you give this a try.. I've made many of your recipes & they have never failed me.. thats why I wanted to share this one w/you...Happy Cooking !
I love these dump cake recipes but you really gotta shop around for the pie fillings because they get pricey. I go to the .99 cent & dollar tree dollar general & smiths is expensive..
Being vegan I have always used high-quality baking margarine and it works and taste delicious! Give me some of that and a cup of coffee and I will never leave your house! ;-)
