I'm afraid whatever you do, termites will destroy your wooden structure if you get cheap wood. there are however, very strong wood that termites don't destroy. if you're looking to build a lasting structure, then I recommend concrete/blocks structure
Its very unlikely for ants and insects to attack your snails. But if they do attack, then it's either you have something in your snail farm which is inviting the ants and insects in or there my be a dead snail which you need to remove immediately when you see it. there isn't much you can do about small parasites (termites). you can get rid of them with this drastic measure. Get an open fire/firewood and hover it over them (making sure to avoid the fire going too close to the snail. A little heat won't kill the snails but will definitely kill or keep the termites away. good luck
mine eat food leftovers and scraps, cocoyam leaves, papaya fruit and leaves and palm chaff. I also give them grinded egg shells (this boosts the growth of their shells)

there is a hole under to allow excess water out

best is to hunt them in nature or buy from other snail farmers. Alternatively, get them from the market (not really recommended)
