Yes, there are farmers in the north who farm their snails irrespective the temperature, but this kind of setting will not be a regular type, there'll be factors to be put in place to control or reduce the temperature inside the pen for the snails to survive. It requires experience to setup a snail farm in the north

There're little openings... Nonetheless, what's more important to a snail is moisture. They don't need that much ventilation, as long as it's not completely airtight, they'll do perfectly well. We've practiced soilless snail farming for over 4 years, and it's an impressive system for snails
