Loamy soil are the soil we use for farming and I believe you can get it within any farmland.

The number of snails that can be put in a pen depends on the size of the pen as all pens are not of equal size.
For instance, a pen of 2ft by 5ft can accommodate up to 50 snails

I have slot of snails in my farm. Can I leave them on the field, with building a pen. Most of their feed are available on field ( cocoa, meringa, pawpaw's etc. ) From my experience over time, alot of accidental death do occurred either by stepping on them at night, Bush burning & clearing. What is your best advice, for years I have always pick them for meat no sales.
