    Saw 'The Easy Way' - then saw the fire extinguisher.

    That actually sounds better than some of the aftermarket silencers

    Why do you think you Know better than MR HONDA they are only there for show anyway. THE 4 GO TO ONE CAT AND BACK TO 2 AND THEN 4 HOLES. PLEASE DON'T PLAY THE BIKE WAS FANTASTIC ON ITS OWN

      Anyway, the muffler assembly is a contraption that tries to mimic dual duals. All of that piping inside is meant to coax an even distribution of gases from all four openings. Otherwise, the single low mount exhaust of 5th and 8th gens is actually superior. Owner of two 5th gen, 99, and two 6th gen, 04 and 08 with exhaust galore; choice. Full Erion, Two Bros slip-ons, Delkevic, 99 cables headers, high mount, low mount, carbon, polished...Even owned the StaineTune for the 6th.
      Anyway, the muffler assembly is extremely aesthetic but heavy and robs a scant amount of power compared to a low mount single.

    Sounds good at idle at least!
    And looks like an easy mod.
    How is it to ride in highway speed?
    And is it running good in general?

    Looks like an easyish job, I was considering gutting the muffler but this looks way better so I think i will do that instead. Is there a way you could post what dril bit you used as it came out fuzzy as well as how you got the section you cut out, out of the exhaust?

      High quality 1" or 25mm hole saw. You also need 3, 18mm diamond disks per hole. Hope this help. Thanks for watching.

    Are you happy with the result in general?
    How is it on highway speeds?
    Any other issues?

      I'm very happy with the sound at any speed, around town or at the highway. Thanks for watching.

    Would I be right in thinking by doing it this way you are cutting the end of the baffle off? thus creating a kind of echo chamber ie opening the end of the exhaust where it was a sealed unit.

    What kind of tools did you use?
    I bought a regular hole saw 25 mm and I've managed to do the first pipe, but the saw was gone. I bought two more but didn't manage to cut the second hole. I'm thinking about trying diamond hole saw.
    On the other hand what disc for dermel do you suggest? I've tried several, but the metalic "saw-like"don't cut though metal. And the discs for cutting metal are too big so I need to make them smaller, but then they don't last and I needed like 3 to make half of the circle.

      Disks are 16~18mm, you need at least 3 "diamond type" per hole (12 total). You should get a high quality 1 inch or 25mm hole saw and use it intermittently (take a break every 2 minutes or so), don't forget to cool down with oil the disks as well as the hole saw. The whole process may take you about an hour. Hope this help. Thanks for watching.

      @@PollosMotorcycles Actually I think It will help. Now I know I need better tools and many discs :)
      Since some of it is already done I already can hear a difference and I like it :)

    What is the experience? It doesn't damage the engine valves? Someone who did it experienced any bad effects on the motorcycle?

    • @PollosMotorcycles
      @PollosMotorcycles  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      So far no negative impact in the performance of the bike and the sound is very nice. Thank you for watching.

      @@PollosMotorcycles Thank you. One more question. How deep have to cut the exhaust pipes with the 16 mm cutting disk?

    • @PollosMotorcycles
      @PollosMotorcycles  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@gyoriaki I cut about 2.5cm. Thanks for watching.

      @PollosMotorcycles  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can't tell if running richier or not, but the sound is a nice V4 sound. Thanks for watching.
