I watched nothing registered, seemed so surreal. So have to watch again. i would like to start a petition to bring back this format of interview, for the older and the new actors all for how organic the answers come out when you are not in the presence of a third person (ik camera ka piche you have the technical team standing along with teh director but still on the set toh nahi hai na)
I love FC to the core, first thing's first. Secondly, I'm upset with the duration of this tapecast. Wanted to see so much more of the two brilliant actors speaking at length on various subjects thrown at them!

Met SHabana Azmi in Karachi very briefly when the world was young for both, in the 80s
I clicked on this because I love Vidya. Hoping she's pleasant in person. I say that because I recall producing my concert at Lincoln Center, and went to meet Artists (well known also) at a hotel in NYC and ran into Shabana. I was also working on a production to bring awareness to domestic abuse and thought to mention it to her. She was down right NASTY. Now, to be real, I am aware of what artists go through daily, but Shabana is one person I cannot see in positive light ever again. I lost all respect for this individual. It speaks volumes.

You'll never hear Katrina talk about her craft like this. She can't even speak the language after 15 years. Vidya and Shabana are what you call real actresses.

I agree with most of what you said. No doubt language proficiency is a big plus point. But at the same time, I think a good actor will prove him or herself sooner or later, even if he or she doesnt know the language very well. For example: Sridevi didnt know hindi when she entered bollywood but she was a fabulous actor. Kalki Koechlin is a very good actor too. Same cant be said about Katrina. Most of India has fallen for her goriyo wala accent or her appearance. Acting and Katrina doesnt fit in the same box.

I remember seeing Masoom and back then in the 70's i was just a kid and hated shabana for being so mean to the kid.(she was natraully wicked in the movie) very well played out. I watched a few more of her movies in the 80's and thought she is a fantastic actor! i mean she is a blessed and genuine ,even today she would make a great actress.
This is one of the best combination. I wish it was for some more time. It was less. Elixir for cine enthusiast.
