This Women’s Day, we celebrate a beautiful soul with a heart of gold. She is worth all the applause and love she has earned in her life. Hailing from a non-filmy background, she made a dent in the world of movies, through sheer determination and eternal optimism.
Her honesty towards her craft coupled with the pure innocence of a child, Vidya was destined to be India’s favourite entertainer.
Born in a Tamil family, from a humble-middle class background, this filmy girl from Chembur went from auditioning for the legendary teleseries ‘Hum Paanch’ to getting her dream break with ‘Parineeta’! But her journey wasn’t as smooth as it looked from the outside.
Facing multiple rejections, cold shoulder from the fraternity and even being termed as ‘jinxed’, she was a rebel who established her stronghold, with the tag of absolute ‘entertainment’.

Vidya Balan is the finest actor of our time. Her voice is awesome, the way she talks is really amazing. So elegant She is. But one thing, before Parineeta, Vidyaji acted in a Bengali Film, which I saw. The Film's name is BHALO THEKO. But Vidya Balan didn't mention that. Actually that Hurts. She should be honest while giving Interviews. Otherwise She is so modest, simple. Really Powerhouse personality. Her sense of humour is mind blowing.

I always like vidya mam as actress and nice human being also.
When people get replaced even though one is choosen seems like budget issues or lack of direction in the team. On the other hand even in her first film the director was as Vidya said she couldn't be part of due to economics. Everyone can get easily replaced and new set of people get to work in the film. It's unfortunate but it happens and it's wonderful that Vidya and others go through struggles but all of them have other plans(education). These incidents in life make actors like Vidya relatable.
