- In a heartfelt chat with Arbaaz Khan on The Invincibles Series Season 2 on Bollywood Bubble, the very first guest Shabana Azmi opens up about her life and career. She recalls the time she was entering the industry and how the success of Arth changed the audience's perspective of her. The actress shares how women expected her to solve their marital problems. Additionally, the actress talks about her marriage with Javed Akhtar and reveals how she dealt with his alcoholism. She also clarifies that she is still not aware of the reason behind the Salim-Javed split. The actress also shares that she thought the screenwriter duo were arrogant. She mentions how Javed Sahab became a happier person post-split.
Shabana Ji also opens up about her beautiful relationship with Farhan Akhtar and Zoya Akhtar and shares how Honey Irani was initially bitter about her and Javed Akhtar’s love. While time healed everything, the actress also got to live a second innings in her career and credits Amitabh Bachchan for being the pioneer for that. I’ve seen many interviews of Shabana Azmi, but none as interesting and well done as this one. Arbaaz is a great host and interviewer, there’s something about him that makes his guests be real and honest. There are very few (probably none) who have the skill he possesses, it’s like a magic wand he turns and guests just start to bear their true self. I loved this show in its first season and am so happy to see its back. Just one request, please have longer episodes ❤.

Arbaaz , this is a mssg through your show is for Shabana ma’am 🙏 somewhere u had said ma’am “ failures are a stepping stone …” I almost failed and it flashed my mind and carried myself through and it taught me to not be perturbed through lows and hurdles 🙏 it’s not something which isn’t oft said but it was Shabana’s words which stayed …. ❤️

How they all justify cheating the first wife is beyond me
They are professionals in that!
Of course, it can’t be justified. It was VERY unfair to Honey Irani. But at least Akhtar didn’t cheat on his wife. He made a clean break instead, and remained as supportive of her as possible. He took responsibility of the kids and their requirements as well, and discussed all the major decisions regarding them with Honey. At least that much can be said for him. A terrible husband, but at least not a lowly cheater.

We were waiting for this show and to start with Shanna Jee is such awesome. She is one of our most favorite actress, she is just phenomenal and Arbaaz, you do a commendable job as a host and it’s always so special to watch these actors of yesteryears for they are do genuine and so respectful and you too Arbaaz, very polite and allowing ypu guests to speak and it’s one of my favorite show. Don’t take long to bring in these episodes.

I hope her health is alright. She looks older than Waheeda Rehman here. The healthy equation between Javed-Shabana-Honey was probably inspired by Salim Khan's own life. And that neither Shabana nor Helen had kids of their own probably helped in bringing the harmony.
