The saddest part of this movie is at the end. When he realizes that the one person he came back for didn’t come back to him. And he ends up at a crossroads, with no idea which way to go. Such a powerful story of human endurance and survival, and the lesson that sometimes endings are new beginnings.
Yes, I agree. This was the most touching part of the movie when he had to let go of his beloved woman. When he delivered the rescued parcel to the beautiful girl in the art studio, there was some faint hope, that it may blossom into a new relationship. But alas, he left and ended literally at the crossroad of his life. I couldn't help it, but these last scenes brought tears in my eyes. Tom Hanks, what a wonderful actor. Thank you so much for all your wonderful movies. Forest Gump, Saving Private Ryan, Captain Philips. All watched many times over and never forgotten. Wishing you and your wife speedy recovery from Covid-19.
I also didn't see him in a situation where he didn't know what to do or where to go. More like, I saw a new beginning and he could go anywhere he wanted to
@Penny for my thot totally agree. Great film spoiled by one thing. When she says she always knew he was alive and is the live of her life....yet she married someone else. That would not happen if you loved someone and especially if you believed them still alive.
Exact this line saved me once in a very critical and apparently hopeless medical situation, when im thinking about suicide. Sometimes fiction and art rulez reality.
Too many of us are castaways. For me, this theme will forever be associated with the struggle to keep on when all seems lost and no one is around nor seems to care. And, the courage to leave the island when the opportunity arises, and the spiritual strength to remember it and re-visit it and to respect it with the tears of grief that it merits. One of the saddest pieces of music I've ever heard.
Some people may not have gotten this scene where Hanks displayed his full emotions towards an inatimate object that he gave life to and kept him sane and balanced. I am not one of those people. This was an important scene in the movie and worth watching more than once.
This movie should be definitely up there with shawshank redemption. Beautiful story. Tom hanks probably his best role to date. I mean the acting was just unreal he made us all cry over a volleyball WILSON!!!
Two years ago I was flying for a company in Fiji. One day when flying with my boss, he pointed at a small island and explained this was the island used in the movie Castaway. A sea plane pilot, I took my plane many times over this island and up to the beach. Now listening to the soundtrack I think how amazing it was to see the things I did like that. It also brings tears to my eyes. What an adventure.

Everyone in this world has a psychological and emotional need to be part of a human collective that loves and values them to keep them psychologically balanced. Hank's character finds the closest things to that are his picture of Kelly and the Wilson brand volleyball. Even if the volleyball cant talk back, it is the closest thing he has to keep his sanity. This movie is one of the best I have ever seen. Never have i cried as I did during this movie, to cry over a ball named Wilson getting swept away really make you understand what a beautiful movie it is. The acting in it is just pure perfection. +King Wacky I love Cast Away so much and it is also one of my favorite movies . Forrest Gump is such a beautiful and nice movie also . Tom Hanks is so brilliant and the music is so epic and beautiful hear and i cry every time .
This film hit me so hard. Referring to when Chuck was alone on that island and "Wilson" came along to keep him company and be his support. As a survivor of abuse, during my childhood years I would cry and talk to a certain pillow that I bonded with like an actual pet. I never had any pets growing up and so this pillow became my friend, confidant and I would always cuddle and talk to him... yes, I actually think of this pillow then and now as a source of strength and that he is as real as any person/pet. I didn't feel comfortable talking about the abuse with anyone. The couple of times I tried, I was basically rejected. So, I named the pillow "Fatz" because he was and still is just so soft and cuddly. Everyone close to me knows this story and the reasoning behind it. I share this with you all as a way to show that there are so many ways to deal with abuse; sexual, physical and mental of which I was a victim of for many years. So, 42 years later, I still treasure Fatz as my most prized possession, like "Wilson" the volleyball became and was to Chuck Noland in the film. I sleep and cuddle with Fatz everyday and he goes everywhere with me. I have had many health issues indirectly linked to the after effects of long term abuse over my adult years and my wife, son and also nephew, for example, are my strongest supporters. But my good, old, trusted pillow, my best buddy, Fatz is my savior. This wasn't easy but thank you for reading this very intimate detail of my life. It actually feels so good to share it with the world. 😊🧡😉

I am amazed to see all the like-minded people on this comments section. Your comment resognates with me 100 percent. I had a Wilson character, and still have, throughout my life. Sometimes in car I chat to myself as if I am someone else, sometimes multiple people. They become so real to you.
Sometimes sad music that hurts the heart can find us searching for a better way In our lives so we can feel happy And look at our emotion way down inside For a solution to feel whole again.. No one should go alone through the journey through life
I can't even explain why I always end up crying myself to sleep with this song on. It has such a wonderful effect on me that I just simply burst into tears of joy, I think...
it's all tied to experience of time and thought throughout our lives... our hopeless perspectives make us feel so distant even from eachother when we are close, because there will always be time....in the past and the future, where we belong to none of them
I find myself crying as well, crying because I know that time is moving forward and we will one day have to say goodbye to those we care about. I sometimes ask myself why we are even here if we are only here for such a short time. But life is full of good we just have to see it and go for it. For tomorrow the sun will rise and who knows what the tide could bring...have a good day Ellie :)
This movie is exactly what happens in real life. You make plans, you get on the plane, but all of a sudden, things start to change to the point where your not in control. These things happen in life and we must develop our resilience in order to get past them.
A movie, that doesn't have a happy ending. That tries and succeeds at pulling your heart strings, really makes you feel for the character. Even the music makes you feel that way. This is how you do a really good sad movie. This one right here
The scene when he finally could get out of the island (after passing angry waters) and there was calm in the ocean and he looked back at the island and this song was playing... I realized that Tom Hanks was a terrific actor, I mean, the way he looked at the Island was priceless, I cannot describe it.
Tom Hanks is perhaps the best in the business. There are few roles in which you disbelieve him as his character. I love Castaway, the premise is brilliant, but I doubt any other actor could have pulled it off.
TenakaKhan1981 And this role was maybe one of the most demanding ones... I mean, 90% of the time he never interacted with no one except with a inanimated object.
How can a human create something so beautiful, soothing, heart-touching, and something that takes you back the memory lane and brings a tear or two in your eyes!
At 2:54 you can instantly feel a sense of completion, like the deed has been done and what lies next is uncertain. Perhaps what really casted Chick adrift was his loss of his old life, and he should survive not the island, but what is next to come, and whether it is a plane crash, a starvation, or even coming back home, you just got to keep breathing, for every step you take, you come closer and closer to the end of the tide, and the gate to your own salvation.
flaming corgis are you jealous or just misinformed. I don't see him all the time, but work with him on selected projects. I can send pics of us together if you like, but then I don't feel the need to defend myself against irate bloggers.

The rolling landscape at the end, the feeling of the vastness - Chuck was still a castaway trying to search for his home and that last shot of him at a literal crossroads was so symbolic of it.
Did you notice a slight smile on Chuck’s face at the ending scene as he turned facing the direction of the woman’s house. That was the clue to Chuck’s new life.
Despite his loss of his loved one, he still had to live, he still had to keep breathing. That is his message to all of us, to all of you. Just keep breathing and everything will be alright. Remember that!
This score and movie always make me think of the night my grandmother called my mom to tell her my dad was missing. I was watching this movie when she called. I remember listening to the call as the movie was playing and hearing the concerned tone in my mother's voice, and I just knew something bad had happened to him. My dad was found that night unconscious on the street and died a few days later in the hospital from a stroke; that was 16 years ago. I always cry listening to this score because it's so beautiful and sad, but also because of the sad memory attached to it. Miss you, Papa.
Hi Arlette, there is something about your comment that makes me want to reply. I am not the world's most poetic person, but: the volleyball drifted away, out of sight, just like your dad, but he will always be with you.
This was used in probably the saddest scene that MCU has ever done in their 11-years worth of storytellings and moviemaking. Thank you Alan, thank you🙏
I noticed the exact same thing when watching the movie. I knew I had heard that motif before. And during the credits it struck me, Alan Silvestri. Well played Alan, your music touched my soul.
He's had many great roles, but this is probably my favorite Tom Hanks movie. Russell Crowe was good in Gladiator, but no way was that a better performance than Tom Hanks in Cast Away. He should've won the Oscar!
Tom Hanks is a great actor and has deserved his Oscars when he's won them. But Gladiator is one of the top 15 films of all-time and Crowe's performance was spot-on perfect!
Every time I watch a picture of this movie and I listen to a single note of the amazing Alan Silvestri’s music, my heart explodes and my eyes become full of tears. Sadness, desperation, hope. All my emotions are touched. My life has changed from the very moment I went out of the cinema 18 years ago. Love....
No matter how confident and happy we act around people, there is always no matter what, a little bit of emotion inside of you and sometimes you have to let it out. 💙🙏
My father sat frozen through the movie. My mom had rented it, and my father and me tried to out-dude ourselves by claiming how we would have dealt with one situation or the other. When we watched Wilson float away, we were crying like babies.
Hahaha same here man. My dad always points out when i have a tear in my eye from watching this film, but then also he'll have a bit of water on the sides of his eyes... A true tear jerker, even for the manliest of men.
I suffer from depression and some other things.. sometimes it feels like its impossible to move on and then i listen to this. It always gives me hope and lets me express emotions i normally cover up with me being funny.
Not only is this theme musically beautiful, but it isn't played until he finally makes it off the island. The hour or so of the film he spends on the island is devoid of any score, giving it a sense of true isolation. That makes the moment he finally clears the surf and looks back at what was his home, his prison, for 5 years now fading into the mist so much more powerful with this sudden burst of melody. The notes evoke feelings of loneliness, triumph, uncertainty, and, most of all, hope.
Allen Silvestri is one of the best composers and conductors of our time. I never knew that this man created so many beautiful pieces of music to so he of my favorite films. He deserves many awards. So many film scores, that are just beautiful. He is so talented.
Bittersweet feeling, isn't it? The memories you remember bring happiness, but the passing and the end of those memories bring sorrow. My deepest condolences to you.
Omg You are so young I'm so sorry you lost your parents how heartbreaking. Stay strong. I wish all the best in the future. Glad your gf there for you and god.
Hey dude, I think that the best thing for you to do is to live life too the fullest and thrive. It's what all good parents what from their children. RIP
Mistrzostwo
I absolutly love this soundtrack. I can't believe how totally the music is welded to the emotions and the scenes from the movie. I don't even remember if I saw this in the theater or on DVD first. ( doesn't really matter ) - I think this is a "man's tearjerker" movie. Adventure, Survival, and heartbreaking loss . It doesn't wrap up all tidy either. One of Hank's best best best films. - Probably amplified by a stellar soundtrack.
Einer der besten Filme, die ich je gesehen habe. Die Filmmusik ist einzigartig. Auch andere Filme mit Tom Hanks sind spektakulär und werden in die Filmgeschichte eingehen. Danke
- i just watched this movie last night and it really moved me so much that until now i can feel how strong the emotion impacted me... losing Wilson after crossing the breaker is actually ending his subconscious mind where he put a part of himself during his stay on the island.. it's more heartbreaking than what happened when he came back to the city .. "i had to keep breathing .. i had to stay alive even if there's no reason to hope ... " these are just some of the lines that marked my memory ...
This is my recommendation for a movie marathon with unforgettable soundtracks. - Cast Away - Forrest Gump - Octover Sky - Braveheart - Titanic - The lord of the rings
I never wanted to watch this movie, I guy stranded on an island with a ball. When I did finally watch it I balled my eyes out. This music to top it off makes me think about my decisions in life and the things that slipped by.
The film is music free for most of the time and then this beautiful theme kicks in just as Tom Hanks leaves the island. This movie is so powerful and still manages to make me cry during the scene where Wilson is stranded at Sea. The movie draws you so much into the point of view of the main character that when he looses that ball you actually feel what he's feeling, so in a sense i don't cry for Wilson but for the desperation of loosing my only point of reference and interaction for 4 years on a desert Island.
I remember when I watched this film years ago, it was the part where he and his wife drove the car for the last time where went from silent tears to near-silent sobbing.
I remember years back I was working for my dad as usual in the summer, rolling turf at gaydon for the business… it was hard graft a lot of the time & quite repetitive but I enjoyed it… I used to play music a lot to pass the time on my headphones as it could be quite lonely going on occasions - i’ll always remember this track coming on & I fell into an almost trance like state of complete stillness & detachment from my physical surroundings, almost hynotic. I can’t really explain it too well but i’ll know i’ll always remember the feeling on that warm sunny day & finally feeling, albeit maybe briefly - at one with myself & the world… hope I didn’t bore anyone then just thought i’d share my feelings on an incredible piece of music that’s always stayed with me
Somtimes you feel like the world just casts you away to be alone, during that time you hold onto to somthing that will bring you back to the world but when you do come back the one thing that kept you going is no longer there because the world kept turning while you were gone and things changed so what do you do? Just keep breathing...
I've worked as a session player for nearly 40 years, and with some of the most well known and prominent composers from Jimmy Webb to Jimmy Haskell...and I can say, rarely if ever has a score moved me so... Almost heartwrenching...
We both had done the math. Kelly added it all up and... knew she had to let me go. I added it up, and knew that I had... lost her. 'cos I was never gonna get off that island. I was gonna die there, totally alone. I was gonna get sick, or get injured or something. The only choice I had, the only thing I could control was when, and how, and where it was going to happen. So... I made a rope and I went up to the summit, to hang myself. I had to test it, you know? Of course. You know me. And the weight of the log, snapped the limb of the tree, so I-I - , I couldn't even kill myself the way I wanted to. I had power over *nothing*. And that's when this feeling came over me like a warm blanket. I knew, somehow, that I had to stay alive. Somehow. I had to keep breathing. Even though there was no reason to hope. And all my logic said that I would never see this place again. So that's what I did. I stayed alive. I kept breathing. And one day my logic was proven all wrong because the tide came in, and gave me a sail. And now, here I am. I'm back. In Memphis, talking to you. I have ice in my glass... And I've lost her all over again. I'm so sad that I don't have Kelly. But I'm so grateful that she was with me on that island. And I know what I have to do now. I gotta keep breathing. Because tomorrow the sun will rise. Who knows what the tide could bring?
I was friends with the daughter of the man that wrote cast away for a while. He had the butterfly art in his yard, I believe he moved and it's now in a neighbor's yard in Austin.
I saw this movie in Honolulu in 1999 after travelling to the South Pacific and when I saw the island he was stuck on I said to myself that it looks like Fiji and sure enough was. Tom Hanks should have been nominated for an Academy Award but was not! The song even to this day still haunts me..what an awesome composition to match the theme/emotions of this movie...well done Alan Silvestri.
Such a beautiful piece of music. Touches your heart. Makes you realise how much you can love someone. We all need to make the most of what we have and enjoy every day.
Wilson is our sons, daughters, parents, friends or someone we hold dear to our heart. We want to make it last for eternity but sometimes they go not when we want, so we must struggle to get to that next sunrise. I’m trying to get to the next sunrise!
Wilson was Chuck...from the blood that made its face to the conversations he had with it. When its face was washed away after kicking it out into the surf, he could have made paint to restore it, but instead he used his blood. The loss of Wilson was emotional because Chuck lost a part of himself. I cry every time at that scene.
SPOLER FOR AVENGERS ENDGAME The music that plays at Tony's funeral reminded me of this song, then I remembered it was composed by the same guy: Alan Silvestri
@@AIRWOLF-l6g Same!! In theaters, I did not notice cause of the Schock. Now that they released the Kneeling down scene, I was like, Hold on, I have heard this before. P.S. Glad to know both were composed by the same guy. Masterpieces.
This music, like the film, is so real in capturing his emotions and pain that it, like the film, hurt me. I was overcome with the humanness of it all, the emptiness and gloom that overtook Chuck as he struggled to survive and get off the island, and then when he saw Kelly again. no movie has ever moved me like that....
That scene near the end where he's kissing her in the pouring rain both giving in to the love thats still there but understanding that times have moved on. Really powerful scene and film and this music captures it perfectly 🙏🏻
The saddest part of this movie is at the end. When he realizes that the one person he came back for didn’t come back to him. And he ends up at a crossroads, with no idea which way to go. Such a powerful story of human endurance and survival, and the lesson that sometimes endings are new beginnings.

I also didn't see him in a situation where he didn't know what to do or where to go. More like, I saw a new beginning and he could go anywhere he wanted to
I don't think he was stuck. He was just changed.
He was looking down the "Huge Road That Goes Nowhere". And thinking _"That's my Road"._

I always come to this music when I am sad. And my heart hurts. I’ll listen to it about 100 times. And still hurt.
I am amazed to see all the like-minded people on this comments section. Your comment resognates with me 100 percent. I had a Wilson character, and still have, throughout my life. Sometimes in car I chat to myself as if I am someone else, sometimes multiple people. They become so real to you.
Me too. God Bless You mate.
Sometimes sad music that hurts the heart
can find us searching for a better way
In our lives so we can feel happy
And look at our emotion way down inside
For a solution to feel whole again..
No one should go alone through the journey through life
"And now I'm back, in Memphis, sitting here talking to you, I have ice in my glass.....And I've lost her all over again." Chuck Noland
one of my favorite lines in the film 💔 " lost her all over again " :'(
Totally felt it when he said “and I’ve list her all over again”😞
She wanted to still go with him, too.
@@AnthonyArgyros Alas, what's done is done. Married, have a kid, you can't just put it all back
I always cry after that line. Always.

This movie taught us a very important lesson in life, this isn't only just a movie its so important about life and we learned something.
1- Forrest Gump
2- Saving Private Ryan
3- Cast Away

Captain Phillips too.
Philadelphia as well. Somehow, Tom Hanks knows how to capture the hearts of the audience.

Faltou o terminal !!!
Alex Cruz Green mile, Apollo 13 and big too.
This movie is exactly what happens in real life. You make plans, you get on the plane, but all of a sudden, things start to change to the point where your not in control. These things happen in life and we must develop our resilience in order to get past them.
:l bro
Life is what happens as we make all our plans.
Adapt or die!
Life turns on a dime.
Well say
One of the greatest movies of all time. I’ve seen it about ten times and I will continue to keep watching it..
A movie, that doesn't have a happy ending. That tries and succeeds at pulling your heart strings, really makes you feel for the character. Even the music makes you feel that way. This is how you do a really good sad movie. This one right here
A prime example of how music stirs the soul...
This composer knew how to surgically rip open a heart and just went for it
The woodwinds, followed by the strings... the score is so emotional.
Alan Silvestri is so great
i cry every single damn time i hear this, i can’t help it
@juliedavis, I laughed and cried when I read your comment!

This song makes me cry for two reasons. I understand the sorrow of the lead character. And it reminds me about sorrows of my own.

The scene when he finally could get out of the island (after passing angry waters) and there was calm in the ocean and he looked back at the island and this song was playing... I realized that Tom Hanks was a terrific actor, I mean, the way he looked at the Island was priceless, I cannot describe it.
That's my favorite scene.
Tom Hanks is perhaps the best in the business. There are few roles in which you disbelieve him as his character. I love Castaway, the premise is brilliant, but I doubt any other actor could have pulled it off.
TenakaKhan1981 And this role was maybe one of the most demanding ones... I mean, 90% of the time he never interacted with no one except with a inanimated object.
wow !! i remember this scene a lot and i had the same opinion !!
Tom Hanks is the best actor to my mind. The way he show his emotions is absolutely wonderful
This song would make everyone cry honestly 😭 especially to those who have seen the movie. The end always got me.
I've seen the movie a gazillion times, and still cry EVERY time!

How can a human create something so beautiful, soothing, heart-touching, and something that takes you back the memory lane and brings a tear or two in your eyes!
God gave humans skills to make music like this
Because he's Alan Silvestri, one of the best in the business.
When the strings enter at 0:27 it's so relaxing; you can almost hear the waves washing up onto the shore. So beautiful. Alan Silvestri is a genius.
As a musical composition and orchestral performance, easily one of the most beautiful things ever recorded.
At 2:54 you can instantly feel a sense of completion, like the deed has been done and what lies next is uncertain. Perhaps what really casted Chick adrift was his loss of his old life, and he should survive not the island, but what is next to come, and whether it is a plane crash, a starvation, or even coming back home, you just got to keep breathing, for every step you take, you come closer and closer to the end of the tide, and the gate to your own salvation.
a genius indeed. I work with him, so I have a first hand view of how he does it. Pure genius.
Sure you do.

Well said, Muhammad. Well said.
Wow what a brief description... Indeed a class apart
My dad and I watched this movie, my dad doesn't cry but the one scene that got him was Wilson floating away
Thats life trying to tell you something
This piece of music is practically perfection.
"I know what i have to do now. I Gotta keep breathing, because tomorrow the sun will rise. Who knows what a tide could bring"
There's never been an actor like Tom Hanks, this music sad, but like a dewy morning in a spring meadow. Classic.
This is probably the saddest music piece I've ever heard. Especially when I imagine the moment when Wilson drifts away never to be seen again. 😥
🏐: I will always be with you in spirit. As long as you remember to keep breathing and survive - that is where I will be waiting for you.
I think it’s also similar to the Forrest Gump Theme,Alan is such a genius...

He's had many great roles, but this is probably my favorite Tom Hanks movie. Russell Crowe was good in Gladiator, but no way was that a better performance than Tom Hanks in Cast Away. He should've won the Oscar!
I agree too much
Tom Hanks is a great actor and has deserved his Oscars when he's won them. But Gladiator is one of the top 15 films of all-time and Crowe's performance was spot-on perfect!
Agree
Part of the journey is the end.

Im not crying, you are.
The end was simply.... AMAZINGLY sweet and emotional!!!!
Endgame
This music reminds me of Tony's funeral.
Xam271 just means you're alive. Women love men who are alive.
"Im sorry Wilson!!!! I AM SORRYY!"
Props to Kristen Wiig in Bridesmaids for bawling at that Wilson scene 😂
I come to this video every now and again wether I'm feeling sad or not and I always look forward to reading this comment. Thanks man
Tom Hanks reminds me of my father and I always break into tears when I listen to this beautiful song...
I suffer from depression and some other things.. sometimes it feels like its impossible to move on and then i listen to this. It always gives me hope and lets me express emotions i normally cover up with me being funny.
I hope you find happiness and joy in your life
I'm praying for you. Peace of mind and lasting joy is your portion. Amen
My wife of nearly 30 years left in 2011 and I've been lost and "cast away" ever since... but I know we'll be friends once again, one day.
I feel for you. You'll meet her again.
Thanks. It'll be the best day of my life.
So sorry for your loss. I wish the best for you.
Cheers, Alexander. I think the best is yet to come.

If you had told me I would cry my tiny heart out for a volley ball, I wouldn't have believed you. And yet....
Imagine if that was your favorite stuffed animal that floated away...!!
It wasn´t a volley ball, it was Mister Wilson for crying out loud !
How true, over Mister Wilson, a volleyball.
Unbelievable.
And Chuck did become Dennis the Menace when he threw 'Mr. Wilson' out of his cave that time.
I think it's sad because of how much it meant to the protagonist. You're feeling his pain.
A Very moving piece of music. Shedding a tear just listening to it. Thanks for posting this.

Wilson!!!!!!!!!!!!I'm sorry!!!!!!!I'm sorry!!!
+Robert Baiton That one scene alone...
...Would you believe, I took a break from the movie, went tot he bathroom, turned on the fan, and bawled
Dito that.I cried too.Losing his volleyball was one of the saddest movie scenes ever.Sob,sob.
And then... things get way worse, too worse to really consider better
+Robert Baiton I wonder how many of you didnt notice he got Wilson back at the end of the movie?
Uh... that wasn't THE Wilson.
Einer der besten Filme, die ich je gesehen habe. Die Filmmusik ist
einzigartig. Auch andere Filme mit Tom Hanks sind spektakulär und
werden in die Filmgeschichte eingehen. Danke
I couldn't count how much i cried during this movie. Makes me rethink about life, my decisions, the unexpected, etc..
Me too..😭
- i just watched this movie last night and it really moved me so much that until now i can feel how strong the emotion impacted me... losing Wilson after crossing the breaker is actually ending his subconscious mind where he put a part of himself during his stay on the island.. it's more heartbreaking than what happened when he came back to the city .. "i had to keep breathing .. i had to stay alive even if there's no reason to hope ... " these are just some of the lines that marked my memory ...
This is my recommendation for a movie marathon with unforgettable soundtracks.
- Cast Away
- Forrest Gump
- Octover Sky
- Braveheart
- Titanic
- The lord of the rings
The Shawshank Redemption
Don't forget star wars
Last of the Mohicans
Gladiator
Shawshank redemption ❤️
Just such incredibly powerful and beautiful music. I swear if this doesn’t move a person that person has no soul.
When she runs from the house in the rain to kiss him, man that chokes me up.
...I liove you. you are the love of my life.... that’s where i lose my shit

I can’t really explain it too well but i’ll know i’ll always remember the feeling on that warm sunny day & finally feeling, albeit maybe briefly - at one with myself & the world… hope I didn’t bore anyone then just thought i’d share my feelings on an incredible piece of music that’s always stayed with me
Thank you for your sharing.
Somtimes you feel like the world just casts you away to be alone, during that time you hold onto to somthing that will bring you back to the world but when you do come back the one thing that kept you going is no longer there because the world kept turning while you were gone and things changed so what do you do? Just keep breathing...

I saw this movie in Honolulu in 1999 after travelling to the South Pacific and when I saw the island he was stuck on I said to myself that it looks like Fiji and sure enough was. Tom Hanks should have been nominated for an Academy Award but was not! The song even to this day still haunts me..what an awesome composition to match the theme/emotions of this movie...well done Alan Silvestri.
